[spoiler]The quote in the tattoo was what made me suspect that the subject was Rachel.  Also, the tattoo looked bearlike to me.[/spoiler]

Meanwhile, on my map of the world, the Red Sea looks like an elongated Yeerk to me!

I have a question regarding a tattoo actually. I'm planning on getting a tattoo of Tobias holding the morphing cube. However, I want to get the proportions right, so I was wondering if anyone knew a rough guess on how big the cube would be compared to Tobias?
I know its probably in the books somewhere but I can't remember.
I'm looking at book 20 right now, Marco attempting to steal the cube back from David while in bird morph. He mentions its too big to carry unless he uses two talons. So its probably what, half his size as an osprey?

Any help working this out is appreciated.

The cube is big enough that the hands of all six "people" fit on it, one hand at each side.

Book 49: Rachel the eagle was able to fly with the cube.

Book 39: The cube is carried in the mouths of wolves.

Would Tobias be holding the cube as a human or as a hawk?

The play with the measure quite a bit.
I think it's said to be 3 or 4 inches on each side in book 1, but in 50 Jake pulls it out of his pocket. I know I couldn't fit a 3 inch box in any of my pockets

A red-tail is probably around 2 feet long, with a 3-4 ft wing span, so it shouldn't be more than 1/5-1/4 his height I think. Ospery would be similar in size. I have no idea what the size of his talons would be, probably smaller than an adult palm.

Maybe that helps, but think you'd be better off just finding a size that's aesthetically pleasing. Beauty of books, in the end you decide what it looks like

He'll have to take them off before he morphs, and I don't see anyone carrying the cube inside their morphing outfits!  (Unless Cassie dismantles it.  But would she then be able to put it back together?).

Book 2: Melissa Chapman sobs to her cat that her parents no longer love her.  I wonder if she confided those feelings with a school counselor or other therapist.  I wonder if any kids in her situation did so, and if that resulted in any kids being turned into Controllers.

The Chapmans don't watch TV or listen to music.  Is that because the Chapman Yeerks fear getting mesmerized?

Thanks guys. Yeah I'll have to talk to my tattoo artist when I have it done and see how it goes.
Its going above my current RAF tattoo so its on my upper arm/shoulder area.
Tobias would be in red tailed hawk morph. I plan on getting a half sleeve all dedicated to Animorphs.

Would it be possible to acquire and morph a fertile chicken egg?

If so, and you became an egg nothlit, would you proceed to hatch into a baby chick?

If so, would the change from egg to chick count as a "natural morphing", and thus allow you to return to humanity a la Cassie in "The Departure"?

Why would you want to?

Also, wouldn't the thing you'd have to morph be the thing inside the egg? Which, unless you're acquiring it at the time it's hatching, can't survive outside the egg anyway. So, no. You couldn't morph an egg because an egg isn't an animal. The thing it holds is. And the animal inside doesn't go through a metamorphosis akin to the caterpillar -> butterfly one. It's just growing.
