Ever notice how pre-book I dunno, late twenties, everything was still jolly and fun. And then it all suddenly became serious?

Yes, the David trilogy was really the turning point for the series, perhaps even 19, if that was the decision with Cassie and I remember right.
Until then we fight.

The experienced player can beat the Animorphs playstation game in an hour.

Keep in mind I said experienced, not good. I must have died forty times, but I still beat it in under an hour.
So much wasted potential that game
Something, something, oh crap I pissed everyone off again....

When I first read through the series, Visser 3 didn't bother me.  I just accepted his behavior as being that of an evil invader.  Now it just frustrates me.  He is a bad leader, end of story.

4/5 Animorphs had parents with too cool of jobs.
Two vets, a doctor, a writer, a lawyer, a newcaster, a computer engineer; were was the bank teller, the supermarket mangager, the nameless peon at a mass corporate firm?

He suffered heavily from villain decay. It's sad, but true. He needed a major non-Human controller flunky that could be challenging enough to fight the Anis, but still lose. Then that guy would suck, and V3 would still rock. This way, on the occassions he did show up, the anis would feel like things were about to get really bad. Instead of not thining much of him being there.

Tobias' uncle was a mechanic or something, right?

Then again his dad was a galactic hero, so I guess your complaint still holds

Here is a totally random thought.  I really like the the way Visser feels in my hand.  The cover and the size and thickness just do something for me.  And the cover is awesome.

This series had a lot of funny moments, but nothing made me laugh harder than the scene in #49 where Rachel's sisters think Ax is a Pokémon.
oh my goddess, I JUST GOT THAT. I always wondered what he meant when he said "pokey man"... MAJOR LOL!

You can laugh or you can cry. Personally? I do both. At the same time.
Animorphs: The first 10 were light, funny, still innocent. But slowly, it got darker, more moral, passionate and mature. And then it was messy, bloody. It was chaos. It was the end.

Oh... whoops. I seem to have quoted myself saying that I didn't get the Pokemon reference till then... sorry about that. Plus, how can you say it gets serious after David? What about 28? That is so NOT serious. Here, I'll prove it. I'll draw upon my Best Animorph Quotes word document (yes, it's real - and about 21 pages long  :) ) :

Of course! It was just a routine inspection. Only by monumental misfortune had we encountered him. And in two seconds that misfortune would turn fatal. We were caged! Helpless!
<Poop him!> Marco yelled suddenly.
<What?>
Marco swept his hand across the bottom of his dirty cage. He grabbed a handful of... well, of dung.
A swift, overhand throw. The . . . product. . . flew! it hit Visser Three full in his face.
<Poop him!> Marco yelled again.
I swept my big chimpanzee hand across the cage floor and without pause threw the ... items ... as hard as I could, and with as great an accuracy as I could.
The result was that a large glop stuck on Visser Three's right stalk eye.
<Yah HAH!> I cried in sheer glee.
It was an unusual tactic. A desperate tactic. But I must say it was truly satisfying.
The six of us hurled biological waste product. Then the genuine chimpanzees, sensing a game, joined in.
The air filled with product.
Visser Three was covered within seconds. So were his human-Controller assistants. The four of them beat a hasty retreat through the doorway.
<Now that was fun!> Rachel said happily.

Now you CANNOT say that all the books after David were serious. THAT IS NOT SERIOUS PEOPLE!! THAT"S FREAKIN HILARIOUS!

1. you mind just editing your original post instead of triple posting?
2. I just realized a KASU in that quote. it says "The six of us hurled biological waste product" but cassie was morphing so she shouldn't be able to throw biological waste product, or at least, she shouldn't be throwing and instead should be concentrating on morphing...
