They may go through the whole digestive process in the pool. Or maybe they can hold it for three days.

Or maybe they don't have to "go to the toilet". They don't eat nutrients, they absorb them from the pool. Similar to how a plant absorbs sunlight. You don't see flowers taking a dump, do you? Perhaps the Yeerk expels a certain chemical or something right after it 'eats', but if it isn't absorbing Kandrona at the time, it probably wouldn't be expelling anything.

I wonder why Marco was never hooked up with someone. Or maybe Ax. Might have been interesting to have him fall in love with a Human, but have to hide the fact that he's an alien. Maybe a girl working at the Cinnabon.

i don't think they operate in the same with.. with kadrona rays and all.

yeah they were filler books.  I think there's a stretch of books that are unrealistic, have little effect on the plot, and are almost a waste of paper.  They are still entertaining and funny, but I just have a hard time getting over how unrealistic they are.  For example in book 28, where at the end Visser 3 gives up too easily and the animorphs somehow manage to escape on foot, followed by a bunch of humans.  So what if the visser was locked behind a door, couldn't he phone in a bug fighter to blast them when they came out the other side of the building? 

If you notice, there are some books that are just better written and the things the yeerks do to keep the animorphs from getting away are more realistic, ie that they would stop basically at nothing to keep them from getting away.

the yeerks probably expel their wastes into the the human bloodstream, just like most internal parasites.  and fetuses 

hrmm now i wonder if the yeerks take oxygen and nutrients form the bloodstream too.

I am pretty sure this is actually true. In the Ellimist Chronicles, once the Ellimist and Crayak are in the black holes, they start their 'game'. They choose a race to slightly help. Ellimist chose the Andalites, and Crayak chose the Yeerks.



My random thought: I saw a Red Tail today flying over my house toward a county park. Yes. Even to this day, every time I see a hawk, or any bird of prey for that matter, my first thought is always Animorphs.

I love this books, I do; but KA high exaggeratted the dodging abilities of roaches.
I've been experimenting; they are way to easy to catch.
