A Kind Heart and a Wolf's Courage (Semi literate) Filled

As the night grew deeper, Natalya became resltess. Nightmares and haunting familiar faces were nightmares in her mind. She whimpered and toosed with it until the fear became too much and she screamed in her sleep.

As light as a sleeper as the man was, the scream that awoke him could've awoken a corpse. He bolted from his bed to the adjoining door, flung it open; it was opened so hard it bounced against the wall and shut again. He ran to the woman's side. He grabbed her hand and looked around the room for intruders. "What is it? What's wrong?"

Wolf heard the scream and opened the door while running behind the man to see what happened. "What happened? Are you all right?" Wolf asked in a concerned voice.

She was so frightened that she sat bolt right and began breathing in shallow gasps. Her voice didn't make it above a whisper. "Th-they were coming! Haunting faces, so many faces. Somuch blood." she said, her eyes seeing something a million miles away. She began to cry as the dream stayed with her, not drifting away.

~~Hmmm........ -thinks about it- Maybe a love interest for Wolf? As this went on I did feel bad that Wolf was kind of singled out there......Maybe if we go that way............. then I don't see why Warrior can't join. (=^_^=)

((Thanks for the edit Shorty. If Mythic wills it, welcome Warrior. To let you know, this RP actually isn't based in the Animorphs universe. Though we can "shift" into wolves, that's all we can shift into. At least I believe that's all we can. *raises eyebrows to Mythica* ))


The man strokes her hair in an attempt to calm her down. He sits on the bed beside her and embraced her with his free arm, "It's going to be okay. I- we're here. It was only a bad dream." He shoots a look of worry to Wolf, "Can you get a pale of warm water, a wash rag, and a dish towel from the kitchen? Her forehead is burning up."

~~Just wolves in tis one, but you can have a half-form where you are half of each side. That one is basically furrier than your human one which is a human body withe wollf ears and a tail. Each phase is stronger than the other, the full wolf being the strongest.~~

She hid her face in his chest tying to chase the dream from her mind. Her sobs died to small hiccups soon after and she just sat there with her arms wrapped around his waist. Hearing him and Wolf helped chase the dream away and calm her down.

Wolf went into the kitchen and got the pale and filled it up with warm water then grabbed a washcloth and towel and went back to the room. He gave them to the guy.

He continued stroking her hair and whispering soft, "Sshhh"s into her ear. When Wolf came back with the items, he put them aside. He didn't want to disturb the woman until she felt comfortable enough to sit on her own. He asked very softly, "Are you okay? Can I lie you down; or would you prefer to stay as we are?"

She held him a little longer and then leaned back, wiping a hand at her tear streaked face. She leaned back, but she didn't lie down, for fear of falling asleep again and the nightmare returning. The lullabye she knew only qorked on others, not herself, so she didn't want to go to sleep again.

The man could tell the woman was afraid to fall asleep again as she refused to lie all the way back. "It's okay, you need to sleep. Here," he wet a washcloth, wrung out all the water, and placed it upon her forehead, "Would you like me to sing to you? It always helped my son to go back to sleep after he had a nightmare."

"You....you sing?" she asked in surprise, but her voice never rose over a barely audible whisper.
