(cool Yarin has a 4th dimensional storage satchel from which he can pull out his weapons and various torture and scientific equipment. now I'm just waiting for animel23 to introduce her character and then i can post in story again.)

Name: Alyssa
Age:26
Personality:Smart and resourceful, not easily trusting. Tough exterior from fighting so long. It hides a lot of emotional turmoil-fear and doubt. She tolerates the YPMers but can't convince herself to trust them completely.
Biography:She was enslaved like most of the other humans at first, but was rescued by the resistance group in one of its raids. She proved to be a valuable asset and eventually took on leading the group when the old leader died. She's still hoping to free more of her family if she gets the chance.
Special Talents: She's become good at improvising and basically just surviving with her group. She has no formal training but picked up a lot of skills in the field. She isn't particularly big or strong so she lives by her wits and often a good deal of luck. She would desperately like to obtain a morphing cube, but at that probably won't happen soon.

Down on Earth, the resistance group was in a bit of a spot, having cornered a mixed group of aliens. They didn't know, though, that these weren't controllers. Alyssa, the group leader, studied them, the thought passing through her mind that the yeerks sure found a lot of new hosts quickly. Some of the species were new to her.

Shadow checked that his shurrikens were in good working order, all of which carried a charge that would either explode, electrocute, freeze, among other effects when the timer ticked down after approximately 1.2 minutes.  The Element Sword which would absorb and deflect minor projectile damage.  ((Think light saber.  Good for handheld Dracon beams, very ineffectual -- not to mention foolish -- against Dracon cannons.))

Yarin quickly assessed that a young female was in charge. "We come in peace. Take us to your leader." he said in Nyish though he was sure Jalnoc was translating his words into something these Earthanoids could understand

Alyssa signaled the others to hold off for just a moment. "You sound like a bad sci-fi movie. I'm as close to a leader as we get. What do you want? And don't try anything dumb, or we'll go back to fighting."

Shadow did not move into the light, his training telling him to stick to the shadows.  To stray from it reluctantly.

(did anyone get my invader zim reference in my last post?)  Yarin did not understand the finer points of the alien's speech but he got the general meaning.  He spoke very slowly and deliberately as if to a child.  "We wish to destroy the Yeerks will you assist us?"

Shadow remained within the shadows, every muscle tensed, alert to every sound.  He said nothing, as he was not sure he could trust these creatures.  Shadow decided to deftly scan their auras. . . .

((He doesn't make them visible to everyone -- only one Chitiger managed to do that, and that was during Ancient Times.))

Ana crossed her arms, careful of her blades. She took in a breath, her stomach growling slightly. She was hungry for meat. And Alyssa looked delicious. But she wasn't about to do anything. She had learned to fight against this before.
