Animorphs: An alternate future

[Cloak]

When Shadow boarded Yarin's ship, it was with much hesitation.  He know their auras indicated allies, but he still felt quite awkward around them -- a feeling that he felt would never go away.

"Where are we headed?" Ana asked, narrowing her eyes slightly distrustfully. She wasn't sure why she had gone with them. She only knew that they were not Yeerks. Or, at least, she assumed they were.
Plus, Yarin had gained her respect. But he was the only one.
"Do you know if this planet has meat?" she added, realizing she was hungry.

[Cloak]

Even on the ship, Shadow restrained himself to the shadows and did not speak.  He was still feeling quite apprehensive of this whole adventure.

[Yarin]

Yarin turned to his ship computer "Jalnoc." he asked, "How long will we get to the nearest planet?"
The very realistic looking hologram of an attractive young Nyac female suddenly appeared "At our current speed we should arrive in approximately 14 hours 10 minuets."
"What was that thing?" one of his guests asked.  "That was Jalnoc she is my ship's computer, she serves as my navigation and guide and on my longer voyages as my companion." Yarin said with a slightly lecherous look in his eye.
"I have set the ship on auto pilot please do not touch anything.  If you require anything just ask and Jalnoc will provide it for you.  I will be in my observation room I do not wish to be disturbed." and with that Yarin left his companions alone to their thoughts
(Please someone disturb him it will move the story along.)

[Cloak]

Shadow gave Yarin a slightly puzzled, slightly amused look as the Nyac looked at what Shadow playfully thought as his "holographic mate", along with a rather cheeky smirk.  But Shadow said nothing.

[Yarin]

(someone walk into the room lol)

"What was that thing?" Ana asked. When she received her answer, she nodded. "Fascinating." She turned and left the room.
She amused herself walking down the corridors, lost in thought.
Finally she came to a room. She pressed on the button to allow the door to open. When it did not, she frowned. She knelt down and...persuaded it to open. "Oh. I was not aware this was the room you were in," she said to Yarin.

[Cloak]

Shadow slumped down slighty, and began to slumber in a very restless way.

[Yarin]

Yarin turned to Ana, on his head was a contraption with many wires connecting him to the ship. What are you doing? she asked. "I am using my telepathy combined with Jalnoc sensors to scan for potential allies while simultaneously shielding our position from our enemies." Suddenly Yarin recoiled as if struck by an unseen force. What happened? Ana asked?  "I do not know." Yarin said. "I have never felt anything like that it was like pure chaos and evil."

[Cloak]

Shadow was reliving the horror and destruction of his planet every time he slept, but Shadow there had to be a reason for the madness of this recurring nightmare. . . .

[Yarin]

[Cloak]

Shadow snapped awake from the horrid nightmare, and moved around in the shadows in a restless way.  He did not feel adequate enough to part with them.

[Yarin]

(mind if i fast forward this a bit?)
Hours later

Yarin stood up from his captain's chair.  "We are approaching the planet Earth I do not know what we will find there but we should be on our guard this planet is only the latest to fall to the Yeerks."

[Cloak]

((Mind?  I'm glad you did it.))

Shadow heard Yarin's announcement and felt a mingling sensation of apprehension, nerves, fear, and excitement.  He had never been to this Eee-arth* place before, and did not know what to expect.

Yarin passively read Shadow's thoughts and pulled up a detailed holo-image of a human.  "This is what the sentient species looks like study them know their weaknesses because you will most likely be killing them soon."
