Indar watched, tailblade raised, though this creature was something...beyond what he was capable of destroying.  He moved towards the downed Yarin, extending a friendly hand down to his comrade, stalk-eyes fixated on the creature.  <I am a Yeerk, yes; Indar 632.  Not all projects are made public to...lesser Yeerks.  Tell me please, what are you?  And what have you come to do?>

Shadow understood the "seeking to leave here part" but he didn't know if he could trust these creatures.  So he decided to read their auras as all of Chitigers are trained to do from a young age.  They had friendly auras, Shadow discovered.  But he did not leave the shadows. . . .

Shadow did not move and he did not speak, ignoring the fact that his cover was blown.  The creature's aura may have been the blue that indicates friendliness, but Shadow felt no comradery or loyalty to the creature.  Shadow glared at the creature who dared address him.  Shadow could not repress a snarl.

Suddenly, a sharp shuriken-like device with twelve points nicked Yarin by one his six eyes and Shadow slinked away, quick as a flash.  He did not think he liked the uppity six-eyed alien.
