When Temrash rebuked Salem for asking questions, Salem smirked at him, but said nothing. When Taylis continued talking to him anyway, he leaned closer to her and lowered his voice slightly.

"I know that feeling," he said with a smile. "I think some of it may have to do with the fact that this bar isn't based in any one reality. A lot of the people here seem to be from different versions of the universe, at different times. Everyone I've talked to here seems to have some kind of tie to the Yeerk-Andalite war, though." Actually, he thought, that's a hell of a specific common thread to have...

"If you're on the run, this might be a decent place to hide out, as long as you don't mind the constant danger," he continued, rolling his eyes slightly and moving his hand to indicate the ship they were in. "At least you're not likely to run into anyone from your version of the Yeerk Empire."

He neglected to mention that he was also in hiding from the Yeerk Empire. He wasn't about to start spreading that information to just anyone- he still hoped to keep a low profile. The bounty they'd leveled against him was... well, more than enough to spark some interest in him.

Salem glanced towards the med-bay as more cries issued forth from Blast, and then frowned as he watched the sparks jumping from Silver's body intensify within the force field.

"What is going on around here?" he asked, half to Taylis and half to himself.

Ossanlin furrows his brow at Corliss' short reply.  <Odd...he's not usually so...abrupt.  Perhaps I have angered him more than I'd supposed.>

With that his open comm channel transmits a second independent message...Corliss telling him to come to the Skimmer.

Ossanlin looks at Efaen with his main eyes, briefly considering ordering her to accompany him...but it would be a futile exercise if Terenia did not wish to go ahead with the procedure.  <I suppose I must speak with Terenia before proceeding.  I will need everything in place before-hand in order for this to work.  Do you wish to accompany me Mar?>

Ossanlin turns toward the door to the bar, waiting for Mar's response.

Serid stiffens, affronted at Terenia's words, and he stops several feet back.

"Maybe," Illim shrugs noncommittally, taking several steps forward and only stopping once he reaches the dark-haired Brit. "I didn't exactly stop to talk to any of them." Internally, things are abuzz as he tries to decipher who he's talking to and what the real Corliss's apparent disappearance could mean.

<<I refuse to enter that ship,>> Serid interrupts his thoughts, his tone at its haughtiest.

Just hang on before you swear by your mother's hearts, Illim thinks, but his inability to communicate with his former host only increases his irritation. For Derrel, however, he tries to put on a calming front. <I know, me either, bud,> he responds. <Just let me see what's going on.>

After what might seem like an awkwardly long pause, Illim addresses the man in front of him again. "So where is Corliss?"

Elayne shrugs uncomfortably. "It probably takes a special bond." She smirks. "You probably know this already, but that was one of the Yeerks' complaints with me: I wouldn't accept one of them in my head during the movement."

Mar nods, frowning at Corliss' odd behavior. He had some vague recollection of having met the man even before he entered the Bar. Even under extreme duress, Corliss managed to keep a remarkably positive attitude. The Bar tried his patience, but he seemed to get along well enough with Myitt.

"He must be having a terrible day," Mar mused, glancing at Ossanlin. "And yes, I will go. I told you that I would assist you, War-Prince. I don't understand why you want to help the rat whose problems nearly killed you, but I am no judge. Heroes are like that. We are heading toward the Skimmer, then?"

Ossanlin nods to Mar, not speaking up, then makes toward the doors.  <I will most-likely need to come back to get Efaen.  In any case, I must speak with Terenia.>  Ossanlin trots out the doors at the front and makes his way to the Skimmer arriving to a group standing outside...three apparent humans, one of them Corliss.  Ossanlin recognizes the random human that he had accidentally carted back from Earth as well, the third he does not know.  He simply assumes the one he doesn't recognize is a controller...the other is not as far as he knows.

Ossanlin waves his tail in a relaxed ready position.  If they were friends of Corliss', they were probably decent...but nothing said they were friends of Corliss, and Ossanlin has absolutely no idea as to why the human male from Earth is present.  <Corliss...I apologize for the interruption.  I must speak with Terenia, she is still in your pool I assume?>

"When you're ready, Blast, you can tell us why you were attacking the Andalites and Yeerks. Though to be fair, those Yeerks seemed eager to fight back."

<They were Imperials. What other reason do we need?>

Terenia makes a little grunting sound, not surprised that Illim has figured out that she is not Corliss, but irritated nonetheless.

"He's on board," she says to Illim, her voice no less surly. "I'm borrowing his host for something." Terenia's head snaps around abruptly at the arrival of Ossanlin, her expression darkening.

"Hello Prince Ossanlin," Terenia says, Mike's British lilt soiled by the sneer that enters her voice. She cannot help it; even though Ossanlin has kept her alive, he is ultimately responsible for the loss of her Andalite host. The slight frustration she had held in the pool has transformed itself into all-out bitterness, and the caustic tone in her voice gives as much away. She doesn't care much, though. She is not attempting to hide from them behind Mike's body. She has a feeling that would upset Corliss.

"You'll be pleased to know," she continues, giving the Andalite a steady, cold glare. "that your little Andalite pet, Efaen, decided to blow up my ship. Probably in an effort to keep me out of the rebellion for her own selfish reasons."

Efaen steps aside as Ossanlin leaves the bar, followed by his companion. She follows out the door, but turns towards the lake instead. She has no idea what her new Prince is up to, but her investigations must be subtle. For now, she will eat and regroup her thoughts.

She takes off at a gentle trot towards the lake, relaxing slightly as her hooves absorb the nutrients in the grass. There is something wonderful about being able to go at her own pace, rather than the slightly more furious one of Terenia.

Taylis wondered about Salem's claim that the bar existed in multiple realities and times.  So what is this place really? she questioned to herself.  "I do mind the constant danger.  In fact I was going to get out of the was entirely but my host had other plans."  She sighed because this didn't seem like rebel activity that she had just helped with and she still had managed to get in a fight.

"I agree with Temrash," Taylis answered the question not directed at her.  "I want to stay out of all unnecessary battles though," Taylis made a face, "Amy agrees with the Andalite."

Making a face, Blast slid to his feet.

''Well, to be frank, i come from the Shadow Dimension. My home planet, Uruk, is right now as we speak dieing away due to a genetic mutation. I hired some Andalite scientists to work on a cure, and they found one. But not before the Yeerks decided that Uruk was better dead.''

Taking a breath before continuing, he rested his eyes, ''Only a Shadow Dimensioner can call the portal, and right now thats what i need to do now. Anyone of you who thinks that the Yeerks deserve to be punished, or if you wish to help save my people then join me on journey. Besides, once entered, those with power get greater control and a boost in their strength, possibly all together new powers manifest. Will any of you accompany me?''

The intrusion of the male Andalite and strange-looking human behind him surprises Illim, but the politeness of the Andalite's tone when addressing the Yeerk is yet more shocking. What self-respecting Prince would associate with our kind? he cannot help but wonder. It's nearly unthinkable; even Serid had only been an aristh when he had been infested.

Even stranger to Illim, however, is the Yeerk in the usurped host in front of him. How can it be that a bossy Yeerk like this thinks he's going to make it into the rebellion? Authority from someone like Myitt I could understand but.... He shakes his head in wonder. He must be damn high up the chain to think he can demand whatever he pleases.

"I'll wait for him to get his host back then," he mutters, uncaring of whether or not he is heard.

If Serid appeared angry and uncomfortable before, now he looks like he wishes he could vanish. Still, his back is straight, and his eyes are fixed upon the War Prince. Honor, he thinks. Respect. It has been a long time since he has faced a member of the Andalite military, and he is unnerved by his own uncertainty regarding how he should react.

Salem nodded at Taylis's words, "Amy's your host, I take it? I'm with with you, personally. Unnecessary battles'll just get us killed, and the Yeerks'll have no trouble replacing their lost troops." He smirked at her, "Getting out of the war might prove harder than you expect. From what I've seen, this war defines the Andalites and the Yeerks at the moment. You'd have to get pretty far away to find peace."

Something occurred to him. He muttered under his breath, "Speaking of unnecessary battles..."

"Temrash!" he called, "are you sure we're clear up here? Troop dropships like the one we saw don't tend to be long-range craft. Chances are it was deployed from a cruiser or a Pool Ship. I'd rather not run into them if they're going to give us the same kind of welcome. And is there anything you can do for Silver's injuries?"

At Blast's invitation to accompany him to the 'Shadow Dimension' Salem smirked at him. He indicated the empty seat next to himself. "Blast, have a seat. I think you and I need to have a chat," he said. He leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms. "So, you didn't mention that you're an immortal. Tell me... why did those Yeerks attack us?"

"You're right." Temrash said, and made his way into the bridge. "My scanners haven't picked up anything nearby. I'll make sure we're cloaked. As for Silver, she's been patched up. I'm not sure if I could do much more with her power fluctuating, but she'll need stitches. As long as the gel patch holds, we can hopefully wait until she's cleansed of excess energy before I attempt anything more."

''I can help with Silver.'' And then he looked at her and focused on her lightning energy...and forced his own against it, rolling it into a ball.

''She now cant access it until i help release it. Therefore she cant hurt you. I have a small hold on it so you have around 6 minutes to fix her up.''

And then Blast slowly staggered to Salem, and sat in the indicated chair.

''Because for now I am a Godling. That is why you did not know. If i told you it would have made you believe me to be undefeatable. Which is not the case as you now know. I can right now live forever, when im in my own dimension i am impervious to sickness, but i am still capable of being harmed and killed.''

Ossanlin's eyes widen a bit...a cascade of surprises piling up.  First off, the human from Earth spoke terms with familiarity that he supposedly should not have...unless he was infested.  More alarmingly however...is that Mike is not infested by Corliss...but by Terenia.  It's the only explanation.

<Terenia...what have you done with Corliss?>  Ossanlin's tone remains calm, but a spike of worry shoots through him.
