"Myitt?" Terenia echoes, dumbfounded, barely even hearing his offer of assistance. What did she have to do with this? <<What could he possibly need help with?>> she asks Mike. She shakes her head, causing Mike's dark hair to become even more mussed. Her expression is torn somewhere between frustration and pain.

"What do you have to do with Myitt?" she asks harshly. Or Tamora... she adds to herself, watching Derrel with distrust.

"Maybe," Trey shrugs. "I'm not sure. My father didn't talk about her much. He was...very focused on his goals. I guess I do have that in common with him. The only problem is, I guess I'm without a clear goal." His gaze flits around the bar briefly before returning to Elayne. "Maybe I'd be more gung ho about this rebellion thing if I knew that I could get off this bar. Right now, though, I'm stuck. So I'm not going to get too worked up about it, I guess."

Efaen sighs heavily. Ossanlin's interactions with Mar are too distant for her to make out, and despite his temporary eye contact with her she does not feel as though it is a threatening conversation. Panning the bar with her stalk eyes for a possible threat she arches her tail, stretching it to its full length before making her way back towards the bar door.

Mike, on the other hand, is still confused.

<<I don't know this bloke, Terenia,>> he says, staring out at Illim/Derrel.  <<If he was with Myitt on the trip to snag your sister, he must know her, but Myitt barely said a word about that whole thing to Corliss...after what happened with Zorish, I reckon I can't blame her...>>

He pauses, listening.  <<What's all the noise?>> he wonders, picking up on a repetitive, familiar sound.  <<Christ, it's the comm link!  Answer it, Terenia, it could be Corliss.  Left pocket.>>

The continual beeping coming from the man who was presumably Corliss is starting to distract Illim; he glances at the man's belt to find the source before answering, "She and I had a long talk earlier. I'm a candidate for joining... you guys." He's suddenly nervous someone is listening in.

Serid's quiet murmur of "Be at ease" behind him, however, helps him do just that, and he continues. "There was a conflict with my host, but it's resolved now. I just need you to confirm everything's alright for Myitt so she'll be satisfied. My previous host," he waves an arm towards him, "has given you permission to infest him long enough to achieve this purpose."

"Maybe it'll just take time to define your goals," Elayne shrugs. It's certainly the best solution for her: putting off her decision until it is perhaps even made for her. What would be the harm in Trey taking time to sort things out, anyway? Maybe he'd find someone better suited to mentoring him than she was. "At least you have a decent place to wait, right? I'm sure everything'll move forward when the time's right."

Terenia has only a blank stare to offer Illim's explanation. She knows it means something important to Corliss, and she can see through Mike what he is probably talking about, but there are too many distractions for her to focus. The incessant heat coming off of her burning ship, thoughts of Efaen trying to sabatoge her own entrance into the rebellion...it was making her ears ring.

No, not ring. Beep. Glancing down at her belt she recognizes Corliss' communication device. How long has that been going off? she wonders, immediately followed by, What now?

"Give me a second," Terenia snaps at Illim, detaching the device and turning slightly away from the two men. Two men and one Yeerk, she reminds herself. Derrel was no longer Derrel.

"What?" Terenia growls into the communications device, after suppressing the button.

"That's true," Trey says, glancing up at the bar a bit nervously. "I guess this place is as good as any. No one seems to be after me, although there have been enough fights since I've gotten here that I can't help but worry a bit." He shrugs. "I don't have anything better to do, or anywhere better to be, though. Maybe I should just try to find some stuff out about the Yeerks that are here. I mean, they're from the past, right? Maybe I can learn something from them about what being a Yeerk means. Meant. Or something..."

Illim sighs and folds his arms across his chest. <This Corliss fellow seems distracted,> he thinks to his host, momentarily forgetting that he isn't in Serid's body anymore. <Really think he'll help us?> When Serid steps up beside Illim only a second later, the Yeerk's heart skips in surprise.

The Andalite coolly remarks, "It may be coming increasingly apparent to you that this might not be your most brilliant idea. I will be willing, however, to accept you again should your admission into the rebellion not come to pass."

Illim's fingers tighten on his arms as he watches Serid. "Well thanks," he mutters, "but I'm hoping it doesn't come to that." And there's another complication now, too, he thinks to himself. Now this human knows too much.

"This place does appear to be full of them," Elayne nods in agreement. Her eyes almost seem to light up at the topic. "Yeerks, as they are in the past, at least, really are fascinating."

<I don't know. He doesn't seem very nice. Though maybe he's just in a bad mood. Maybe whatever exploded here belonged to him, and he's upset about it.> Derrel said.

Ossanlin winces and jerks his head back a bit at Corliss' rather crass reply.  <Umm yes...Corliss.  Sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if I could have access to your ship, I need to speak with Terenia.  I believe I may have some good news for her depending upon certain factors...>

Salem decided that it looked like Silver would live- at least for now. It didn't look like there was anything he could do for her at the moment, even if he could touch her. He'd have to make sure Temrash either tended to her injuries, or took her to someone who could. He sat down in one of the seats. As he did so, he looked at Taylis and said with a shrug, "most of the Yeerks here don't seem to be imperials. I didn't realize the extent of resistances from within their ranks. The Andalites tend to suppress that information."

He narrowed his eyes at her, "But why would you want to avoid your own kind?"

"Stop asking questions, Salem." Temrash said as he overheard their conversation. "Just sit quietly, and don't touch anything."

<I believe I'd like to be let off. I don't know how long Blast will remain unconscious, and I...um, need to be on the ground.> Claxter said. He was becoming nervous about being on a Yeerk vessel.

"You're fine, kid. No one is going to harm you. You work for Ossanlin, right?"

<Yes. He is my current Prince.>

"Well, he's somewhat of an ally of mine. At least I'd like to think we're on each other's good side. He actually took a nap in this ship, and I didn't tamper with him."

<He went to sleep on a Yeerk ship?> He asked incredulously.

"Yes. Like I said, you'll be fine."

Terenia sighs heavily, her free hand going up to her temple, rubbing at the soft spot there furiously.

<<Is Corliss always this popular?>> she gripes to Mike, looking at the communicator as though it might be diseased. What does he want with me? she wonders, not trusting his idea of 'good news' in the slightest. Wearily she compresses the button once more.

"Terenia is busy right now. I'll contact you when she's available." Terenia clips the com back to Mike's waist, but not before flicking the power off and cutting the communication.

"Okay," she says gruffly, turning her attention back to Illim. "Now, your turn. You said that you needed Corliss' help because Myitt said something about your host being a problem?" She squints at Derrel, then at Serid beside him. "Is that right?"

A quick scan of Mike's memories, along with her own recent experiences, lets her know that admitting someone into the rebellion is no hasty decision. Definitely not one that she is qualified to make. She waits for Illim's response nonetheless, hoping that something he says will allow her to brush him off easily.

"They're...amazing," Trey admits. "I mean, I know that they existed and all, obviously, but it's different knowing that one is actually there. That their body isn't just a permanent morph. They're actually controlling someone - there are two minds in one head. It's...incredible."

Illim opens his mouth to respond and then shuts it again with a frown. He surveys Mike critically a moment before murmuring, "Do you always refer to yourself in the third person?"

Serid straightens even further beside Illim, now watching Mike with as much suspicion as his former Yeerk does.

Elayne nods in agreement. "They can choose to mimic their host or not. It's impossible to tell the difference, if the Yeerk is being careful. And..." she leans forward, biting her lip a little, "I believe they can truly be a force for good. Think of all the criminals out there who could be returned to productivity with help from a Yeerk."

Terenia's look of frustration deepens into an outright scowl - a strange expression for Mike's face. "Look, I'm really kind of busy right now," she says. "You want him infested?" she gestures to Serid. "Fine. Follow me."

She turns on her heel, giving the wreckage of her ship a dark look before beginning to backtrack towards the Skimmer. She does not look to see if Illim is following, but she does jerk the communicator off of Mike's waist and angrily jam it back into the 'on' position.

"Ossanlin?" she snaps into it. "Come on out to the Skimmer. Might as well get this over with." She slams the device back into it's holder and kicks a small rock angrily.

"That's true," Trey says slowly. "I didn't think of that, but yeah. They could totally cure people of addictions and stuff too. There's a lot of people out there who don't have very much willpower on their own."

"It's not--" Illim starts, but Terenia is already walking away. He hisses a Yeerkish curse under his breath and stalks after the dark-haired Brit. "C'mon, Serid," he mutters, but the Andalite is already following.

<<Please make it clear to this strange individual that I have no desire to be a new host permanently,>> Serid tells Illim privately, <<or I will do so, and forcefully.>> The Yeerk's Dracon, which has been attached to Serid's waist all along, is now in the nothlit's hand.

"Just calm down til I can figure out what the hell is going on, alright?" Illim murmurs, slowing his pace long enough to allow Serid to catch up.

"Right, or too much," Elayne agrees. "I've never been infested, so I'm not sure what it's like, but I've met some Yeerks here who have deep partnerships with their hosts, too. If it could've only been like that all the time, I'm sure the war wouldn't have turned out as it did."

To any onlookers, it would appear a miracle! His skin was already healing and his swollen eye was slowly returning to normal.

Another burst of electricity, and a couple of minutes and he would be healed.

<It seems he's getting better.> Claxter said, looking at Blast through the doorway.

He and Temrash reentered the room. <The electricity has been working.>

"It's also been causing him pain, which is usually a bad thing."

<His healing is derived from electricity, such as his hammer. Even if it does cause some pain, the end result is the more important thing.>

Temrash hooked him back up, and turned on the juice. Not for too long, though. "I'll give him a bit at a time so the pain doesn't get too bad."
