Myitt nods, smiling grimly.

"Unfortunately, my friend, I think I have rather more experience with the matter," she says.  "It's a difficult situation.  I don't think Tamora or Terenia would benefit from a cohabitation."  She pauses.  "Tamora would like to tell you that she could easily have killed me when I was unconscious, but she deliberately did not want to harm me."  Myitt shrugs.  "She's being pretty sincere, as sincere as a mentally disturbed creature can be.  Of course, she did then attempt to kill me, but in the end...she didn't.  People try to kill me a lot, sometimes.  I wouldn't hold it against her."

---

Mike's pale complexion turns a bit paler.

"Strange," he replies.  "Yeah, I reckon having a relationship with two people in the same body who are human, Yeerk and Andalite all at once, while I'm inhabited by another creature isn't strange at all."  He stops to consider the absurdity and covers his mouth, laughing a little.  "What a bloody place this is.  But...no, I don't think I would mind."

"As long as you don't mind," he adds hastily, feeling quite foolish himself.

"I think there hull breach. No space travel until fixed. Everything else look minor." Jagill said. He typed some things into the computer and got a readout of what the damage was. Since there wasn't a repair station, Temrash would have to just send for another ship. Luckily communications were still up and he could call out. He started cleaning up the place to make it look nicer, and kept the hatch open to let the ship air out. It was all still salvageable, and Temrash could easily afford a new one.

John drew his party-beams and walked in behind Vogefak with me at his side. I growled as we walked in.

Salem reeled at the sensations and images that flashed through him when Mar touched his shoulder. It was unlike anything he'd experienced before. When it passed, he found himself struggling to catch his breath, staring at the floor. Things usually didn't catch him off guard quite like that.

After a few seconds, he managed to say, "I think I'll just call you Mar. It's easier to pronounce." He smirked again and looked up at Mar, quickly regaining his composure. "I guess it would have been more appropriate to ask what you are, instead of who."

Ossanlin nods, still using thought-speech as it is easier than vocalized communication.  At least for him.  <And yet she conspired with Cody to kidnap you and held you hostage.  You cannot tell me she did not desire your death.  You would be able to see if that's so Myitt.  And you nearly died as a direct result of her actions.  She cannot be trusted, and she cannot go back to the Empire.  It would be easier, even more appropriate given her own actions, to just be done with her...>

"Yeah?" Myitt replies testily, switching to English.  "You think we should just end her life?"  She puts a hand on Tamora's chest.  "I'm not going to be the one to do it."

She stalks away from Ossanlin, down the ramp.

"I've had enough bloodshed for one trip to this damned place," she calls over her shoulder, and she stops in front of Tara.

Tara crosses her arms.  "What, do you actually want to come back, now?" she asks with a smirk.

Myitt shakes her head.  "Yes, I suppose I do, but I'll probably regret it," she grits.  "The only thing keeping this human girl alive right now is me."

"Well, as I was saying, we...." Rayker let his mouth hang as Salem spoke with the other guy, who then approached their table, and put Salem into a minor convulsion of sorts. Salem appeared to recover, though, and Rayker asked, "Yeah, I second that. What just happened?"

"So, this is one's called a 'Straight Flush', right?" Jackson asked Al as he showed his hand. "Oh, oops.. I'm not supposed to let you know though... Grrr; I'll get it sooner er later."

Ossanlin is taken aback by Myitt's attitude...she of all people should recognize the risks...they were the same as the risks with Zorish...and she had killed Zorish over those.  <Myitt, you of all people should understand the risks involved here.>  Ossanlin's tone of thought grows a bit short, his hork' body making a subconscious soft growl in response to the feelings roiling inside Ossanlin.  <You understood the risks earlier and took action.  As I told Claxter...sometimes the wrong thing must be done in war because there is no other option...as long as you are willing to face the consequences of doing that thing.  This Imperial has been nothing but trouble the entire time she's been here.  Taking her was a mistake, my mistake.  I take full responsibility for that poor decision.  However I do not wish to endanger either the rebels or my own people by allowing her to return to the Empire.  She is unstable.>

Ossanlin huffs out his chest, trying to relax a bit, and exhales slowly.  <But as I mentioned, the damage to Terenia might be irreparable, and I don't want her to regress after making such large gains.  If you have any other solution to this problem, I implore you, speak it.>

As he helped clean up, Dara asked Jagill. "So who were those people? I've met Ossanlin before. But I don't know anything about him."

Mar stares down at the ground awkwardly. He doesn't really know what to say about what he gave to Salem, because he doesn't understand it himself. "I...think I'm something called a Dark side Highest. Someone with great power in a place far away from here. I came to the Bar because I was trying to locate a soul important to me, and came in this form because I did not want another Highest to know I was here. But..."

Mar bites his lip. "...the longer I stay mortal, the less I understand. I know I was an emperor of some kind, called the Prince. Or possibly a rebel. Somehow they were the same thing to me. I also know that I could influence events in ways that caused great suffering to others but benefited me. I hated everything and everyone because I was deeply..."

Mar glares outward, the thought suddenly blooming into his mind like an open flower. "...because I was furious that I had been cast aside as if I meant nothing at all. Perhaps I cannot lose that feeling even when everything else is gone."

<Don't let him kill me!> Tamora cries, a wave of fear rushing through her, <Don't let him near me! I don't deserve to die, I'm not a bad person, I'm not! Please, please keep the Andalite away from me!> At this point it is probably a good thing that she does not have control of her own body; she is nearing hysterics and were she able to she would likely be weeping and shivering like a frightened child. Clearly the Andalite terrifies her, even in his morphed form.

---

"No, it doesn't bother me!" Terenia exclaims shrilly, "I mean, so long as it doesn't bother you, which you said it doesn't, so...good. And, you know, it doesn't bother Corliss. No one is being bothered here." She offers an oddly hesitant sort of self-deprecating smile.

She looked at him with wide eyed cold fear and disbelief. She couldn't believe wht she was hearing. She was rlated to that horrid creature of a person. She didn't understand how spmeone could be twisted enough to do that to his daughter, son-in-law, or granddaughter. How sick did you have to be before that happened? She sat there in silence not knowing what to say. She knew her father wouldn't lie to her so what he said was true.

"Myitt is rebel. She in group against Council. Oss is friend of Myitt, but still Hruthin. I no like Hruthins. Temrash like Oss." Jagill said as he worked on trying to organize some things. Though he was going slowly, as organization took thought and concentration.

Myitt closes Tamora's eyes tightly, steeling against the wave of emotions her temporary host is embroiled in.

"I don't have any other solutions," Myitt replies irritably.  "Short of staying in this human girl, and that can't continue to happen.  She can't...I don't see any way she can feasibly live among us without being a prisoner.  A permanent one.  And the access to communications...no, it simply would not work."

She opens her eyes, glances at Tara, who is watching worriedly, and turns to look at Ossanlin.

"You called my treatment of Zorish a war crime.  I murdered him for the good of my people.  I'm not going to kill anyone else, even if this girl is unstable.  I just...I can't."

---

Mike nods quickly.  "Yeah, reckon we're all...completely not bothered, then," he says, swallowing.

He itches his arm and looks away.  "So...you're going to come and live with all of us, then."  He nods again.  "It's not so bad, really.  Just set up a new place, so it'll be rough for a while, but you'd be surprised how quickly a Taxxon can excavate around an old abandoned Ongachic mining base..."

Mike glances up at Terenia, feeling equal parts anxious and awkward.

"You know, I haven't done this sort of thing in a very long time," he admits lamely.
