(Sorry. I was babysitting the past few hours.)

Morgan was thoughtful as he held the ring in his hand.

"As was stated, the ship will be small," he said, "it's a transport. I would say no larger than the Pride. There will be armed guards, naturally. The ones being transported are going to be in holding cells. They may or may not be sedated for the trip. It all depends on the CG officers on board."

Morgan took a sip of his drink before continuing. "As for how to approach this. My thoughts are we try to draw as many of the CG people outside as possible. No doubt some will come out anyway to assess where they are, but a couple will stay by the prisoners to keep an eye on them. Some of us can stay out to take on the ones who venture out, the others can go inside to get the prisoners out."

"Works for me," Gaz said as she returned with another drink. She had changed after the mission and was back to her usual, more pirate-ish dress. She wore a dark shirt under her vintage blue jacket.

Parker nodded his head slowly. "Well, where would you like me then? If I'm outside, I can take a barage of bullets and survive, meanwhile taking each man out with a single three shot burst. Or I could sneak aboard, and take out the few guards left inside quietly and relocate their ship."

"I'm trained more for melee combat than ranged combat, so fighting in corridors would suit me fine. Parker can draw out as many as possible with superior firepower."

(John Cutter)

Mulling over the conversation that was going on around him he said "I reckon I'll be more help outside, with Parker. I may not be the best shot ever, but I'll manage"

Elayne raised an eyebrow as she listened to the Director, and then she gave a shrug. "Then I suppose, so long as you're done with all the sniffing and hair tugging, we're good." She shook her head. "It's uncomfortable, you know, and impolite. You really shouldn't do that without permission, or a warning at the very least."

The Director was a far cry from Mar, that was sure; she had never met anyone who acted so politely towards her and yet brusquely towards others as Mar. Her new strange friend served as a reasonable comparison to Mr. Darcy in more than just dress -- at least if the character had been a magical, evil overlord.

She glanced to the timid Trey and then around the Bar at all of the strange faces. Such a weird place, she thought with a sigh, and then loosely clasped her hands in her lap. Get used to it, she told herself. This is home for a little while.

"Alright," Morgan said, "So we've got Parker and Cutter outside so far. Temrash inside. I'll be taking inside as well. Gaz, any preferences?"

"I'll take outside," Gaz said after a moment of consideration. "For now, I've had enough of close quarters and hallway brawls."

"I'll take inside," Fletcher said quickly.

Gaz and Morgan looked at Fletcher quizzically. Usually taking part in the fighting wasn't his style.

"I'm tired of sitting around," Fletcher said, "I can do this. Morgan knows I can handle myself."

Morgan nodded, "Very well. So now that makes Parker, Cutter and Gaz outside. Myself, Fletcher and Temrash inside."

The Director gave Elayne a big smile, "Ah, there we 'ave it. Great, you a beer, one for your friend, and a refill for your boyfriend." He moves to go to the bar but jerks back and points to both Mar and Elayne, "Oh, no need to ruffle ya feathers, I'm only havin' ya on." With those words he leaves the table and stands next to Keshin. He orders a refill for himself and Mar, then orders two American beers. The BT replaces The Director's glass with a full one, places a wine glass next to that and fills it 3/4 of the way, and puts two beers with an 18th century bloke on the labels.

((I'l edit with his response to Keshin's earlier question.))

((Okay, no edit, just a merging. Also my phone's dying soon, so I may not respond until 5 pm pacific time. :( ))

The Director looked to Keshin as the bartender was placing the drinks, "Your universe doesn't have many time anomalies, does it? See, when you have aliens running about and falling through time, every once in a while, those aliens will attempt to derail history, change something, wrong it. I go 'round and fix it. Actually I just go 'round. Then once in a while I'll catch someone doing something they're not supposed to, in a time they're not supposed to be, and rectify the wrong."

He turns around, leans on the bar and points at Elayne, "Now they're a special case. She's at a crossroads in her life and the decision she makes or made can have a great effect on his timeline. So much so it could cause him to disappear entirely. Now, if he wasn't incomplete, if he were defined like you or I, I'd 'ave stayed out of the situation. 'Cause facts are facts. World War II of Earth, fact. The war from my own world long ago, fact. Can't change them, but in rare occasions where Time is in flux, changes can be made; and her timeline as it is now, is in flux. I could take her back and help her right a tragedy that doesn't have to happen; but it's her decision, and I can't force her to do anything. If I did, I might actually make things worse."

The Director sighs and states, "Yeah... it's a risky business this." He then smiles brightly, "But I love it so."

Parker nodded and asked, "Do we use lethal force, or are we just going to incapacitate them?"

(I wonder what the Director would think about sukohn. He did use information from the future, but he still remained in his present.)

((What Sukohn did is exactly what The Director goes about fixing. He would've stopped him and expressed his disappointment while feeding him some instant oatmeal. ;D ))

((Bahahaha, evil Mr. Darcy! So wrong. X3 ))

Keshin grins slightly at the Director. "You took a long time. But you do seem to be the kind of person that gets easily involved in other people's problems. Maybe we share that quality, though for different reasons. I try to stay out of other people's business and end up tumbling headfirst into it. Maybe that's what comes of taking a job from nearly anyone who'll pay us money."

"As for the business with Time..." Keshin frowns. "...sounds a bit tricky. And nah, there aren't many anomalies that we've noticed. But then again we live in the place. I hear that the Andalites talk a bit about higher creatures messing with time. Joanne and I try to steer clear of that unless there's something to be had from it."

Mar listens to the conversation and eventually states, "Wine. Red wine," in response to the Director's request. "And do not put anything into it. I want to stay here as long as possible."

Mar then gives Trey a slight smirk and states, "My Elayne seems to think you matter for some unfathomable reason. Personally I think your opinion would matter more if you weren't such a timid little mouse. Such people never get far in the world, boy. Though you have had a very difficult few days."

Corliss sighs, staring at the screens once more.  "All right.  We won't discuss it any further, for now.  You're right, I 'ave a bad feeling about this.  I've tried contacting Myitt's comm link, the Mirage directly...the system's working fine, it doesn't make any sense.  Perhaps z-space is in flux and preventing the transfer...but I suppose until then we'll just have to wait until she picks up her stupid link, or they land back on this forsaken rock."  He bites his lip.  "Yeah.  They'll be fine."

The Director smiled at Keshin and winked, "That's mah life." He gathered the drinks and walked back to Elayne's table. While placing each respective drink in front of their owners, he named off the drinks, "A red wine for the gentleman, two Sams for the American humans, and a pint 'a lageh fer me." He sits down at the table and mentions to Elayne, "Look, I don't mean to extend the converstion, and I know you've made your decision; but if you do ever change yer mind, mah offer still stands. I'd just like ya ta know that."

He then leaned back and asked Trey, "So boyo, since your existence is more or less guaranteed, what're yer plans, 'eh?"

Parker nodded at Silver, inside, if she fought at all, would be safer for her. Less bullets flying through the air. He had to voice his concerns though, "Are you sure you're up for it?" He wanted to go further mentioning her already difficult task of walking and that fighting and running would be even harder, but he quiets himself. He knows those points should be understood, as she was still feeling her side.

"I suppose those stitches could hold together if you had to run around, but you don't have to come. Though I suppose that since this is your mother, you really want to come." Temrash said.

Trey looks down at the beer that was set in front of him and returns to his seat cautiously. He only flushes at Mar's comment of him being a timid mouse, not knowing how to dispel that particular observation. Instead he plays with his beer bottle, running a nervous finger along the lip, but not taking a drink.

"I...don't know," he says at last, in response to The Director. He still isn't sure he likes the man much, but he isn't sure if he dislikes him either. Everything he does and says seems so entirely off to Trey that it is hard for him to decide. "I don't have any....real plans, I guess."
