Joanne glances around the room, her breathing slowing down as she realizes that the strange black substance is gone. She then walks over to where Belzar is standing and glances over him. He seems to be working better than he was before for some odd reason. Joanne scratches her head. "Did that monstah fix ya? That's really weird, man. You should get that checked out by somebody."

Joanne then calls out, "Everybody in here okay? Nothin' happened?" She looks towards Terenia and nods, glad that their client has survived unscathed.

Mar frowns, watching as the strange Dark Matter-based creature descends into the floorboards again. He tenses, as if preparing for something to happen, but notes that nothing at all has changed in the Bar. He then turns back to Elayne and smiles, backing away from her a little bit. When he had turned, he was very close to her. He then nods quietly. "...yes. When the substance first appeared, it saved another person but killed Myitt. Ossanlin and I brought her back from the dead, but I did not forget what happened."

Mar then shrugs tiredly, shaking his head. "As for what it is or what it's doing in this place...that I have no idea about. I just know that the stuff it's made out of looks like Dark Matter. Though not of the same form as mine own. I cannot heal to any degree, and this creature has performed healing arts twice. I am just glad that you are safe."

"I am from a planet in a solar system at the edge of the galaxy. Some of my people have been trying to find a way to transport people quickly from one planet to the other, even though we do not require food or atmosphere during spaceflight. Some want to use this to wage war, which is contradictory to the teachings of those who gave us sentience long ago. After ancient times when lifeforms still ruled our planet." he told Terenia.

"Yes, i seem to be better. that is, I can move freely once more. I will still need wiring and tubing repair, as well as metallic patches over the larger holes. after that, I think I can be ok until my people come for me. Unfortunately that may take time, as the destination was set randomly."

(Yeah, the Pamelites gave Belzar's people sentience. No problems with that, right?)

<Ah,> Terenia said, not entirely sure how else to respond to Belzar's origin story. She glanced at Keshin, then back to Belzar, shifting from hoof to hoof.

<Well, I'm glad that...stuff...help ed, whatever it was,> she says at last to break the silence. She glances over at Mar and Elayne cautiously. She is still a little weirded out by the conversation she had eavesdropped on. In the back of her mind, that reminded her of the mission that the others had left on. Tapping a finger nervously against her holster she met Keshin's gaze.

<<I suppose the others are long gone by now,>> she says, <<perhaps we should make our escape?>>

Priton glanced between the door and the pool, considering.

<Are you going out or not?>

Priton frowned. "I don't like the idea of you being out there while I'm in here."

Genie grunted. <I'm not defenseless.>

"I know you're not. I am." He considered the door again. "You know... it'd probably be a pain in the butt if I went out there..."

<Priton.>

He rolled his eyes. "Fine. Fine. We'll do it your way." He lifted the lid on the yeerk pool, knelt, and pressed his ear to the surface.

Once he'd wiggled himself free, Genie stood and started for the door. She paused, then turned back and closed the lid. It would have made Priton feel better. That done, she left her quarters and went to find the c.ockpit.

Lucan was warming up the engines when he realized that it was impolite to not offer an escort to the c.ockpit. He undid his restraints, swiveled in his chair and exited the c.ockpit.

He walked down the corridor to Genies quarters and arrived just as she was exiting. His spots and eyes changed to the neutral pink when he saw her and wondered how his luck had brought this exquisitely beautiful creature into his life.

“May I please speak to Genie now, Priton?”

Elayne looked up at Mar and nodded slowly. "I'm fine. It seemed to only be trying to help this time, fortunately. Thanks for shielding me," she added with a small smile.

She looked to Terenia. "So you can understand the robot? What is he saying? What repairs does he still need--other than the obvious ones to his external frame?" She gave an apologetic smile. "Sorry to use you as a messenger, but can you ask him if he even wants my help?"

<Wiring and tubing repair, and some patch work,> Terenia says, reiterating Belzar's needs. Her stalk eyes swivel to survey Elayne cautiously. She still does not know what exactly has been going on, but a lot has happened in the bar and it seems to revolve around this girl, one of the only people who had not regarded her maliciously.

<Belzar,> Terenia says, turning her attention to the machine, <this woman is a mechanic, she is willing to help repair you if you wish.>

Genie stopped abruptly. She hadn't seen him there. "Oh, umm... it's just me. Just Genie. Priton's..." she waved a hand behind her. "...indisposed?"

Lucan was a little confused at her statement, but did not inquire further. He would be speaking with Genie and Priton would not be present and that pleased him. “If you will follow me I will take you to the c.ockpit.”

He led her down the hallway and into the c.ockpit. “If you will please sit down and strap in we will be taking off shortly.” He waited until Genie had her restraints secured before turning to the control board.

Lucan started up the Nukul scram jets and fired them until he was standing the ship straight up on her main engines. He keyed in launch procedures and suddenly the Koltan took off. Approximately five minutes later they were in space when Lucan turned toward Genie and asked, “Do you happen to know the coordinates of Earth?”

Genie told him the coordinates. She adjusted her restraints so they were more comfortable. "Do you have any idea how long it should take to get there? We just sort of flew around for a couple weeks until we found this place. We didn't really have a particular place in mind to go."

Keshin notes what Terenia says to him and snaps back into control, wandering towards her. He the nods, seemingly a little frustrated by this entire turn of events. They're already late as it is, and the actions of the Bar only delayed the situation. But Belzar seems okay for the most part.

<At least we can say we did somethin' nice for somebody this trip, Kess.>

<Which is just about the last thing I actually wanted to be doing.>

Keshin puts his hands on his hips and says in a slightly stressed voice, "Yeah, I think it's about time we got out of here. While I am glad that Robot Boy over there can put one foot in front over the other, I do not want to end up in another firefight with the rebellion. As...entertaining.. .as they may be."

Mar nods calmly, breathing a sigh of relief as soon as he realizes that the black substance means no harm this time. Given that he had no idea what to expect, he is surprised the situation turned out so well.

Mar then smiles at Elayne and shrugs. "Anything to keep those I care for alive and well. I would not want you to leave this life so soon. In any other you would forget all about me."

Lucan entered the coordinates into the nav computer and waited for it to complete the calculations. The computer beeped at him a moment later notifying him of the course. “It will take us approximately ten Galactic Standard Days to reach Earth.”

Lucan pulled the lever and sent them hurtling through hyperspace toward their destination. He swiveled around to face Genie and asked, “Since we have a lot of time is there anything that you wish to know?”

"Could you tell me about your ship? It's very... interesting looking. I mean, it's very impressive. It's just an interesting shape for a ship." She paused, then smiled wryly. "Not that I have a whole lot to compare it to. I've only seen Yeerk ships, a handful of times."

"Thank you. You seem to be on your way out, so I will say goodbye to you now. May your trip be safe." He said to Terenia. He walked towards Elayne to stand at a comfortable distance.

"I appreciate any help you have. Do you understand my speech? I will follow you." He said to Elayne, making hand gestures to try to convey the message.

<Alright then,> Terenia says, <good luck with your repairs, Belzar.>

She turns and walks towards the bar entrance, expecting Keshin to follow her. Now that she is prepared to make her escape she can feel herself beginning to get nervous. Anxiously, she glances at her transponder. Nothing. What is taking Zorish so long? Is he simply going to go for the trap without contacting her first? Or did Myitt and the others abandon the mission? The latter would benefit Terenia the most, of course. She didn't think she could stand it if she returned to Visser Three's Blade Ship just to see that Ossanlin and the rebels had freed her sister without her.
