Elayne nodded her thanks to Terenia and then turned her attention on Belzar as he approached. He was making a peculiar sound, but it was not threatening, and Terenia had given no indication that he was dangerous, so she stepped out from behind Mar and faced him. "I don't know what you're saying, or if you can understand me, either, but I'll do my best to complete you repairs," she said. "Human translator chip technology isn't advanced enough for implants yet," she added.

((And here I am at my second job. XD And I'm not sure Hunter. Whatever you want. My two characters are a Yeerk bounty hunter and his host...and an inter-dimensional powered-down demonic weirdo. XD You call pull off almost anything in the GESB so long as whatever is written about is not powergamed. This means that the character has both psychological (as a result of an existing past and temperament) and physical weaknesses that are exploitable. :3 This is the real reason why Mar must be mortal in the Bar, and why I prefer to keep his 'past' outside of it. ))

Keshin follows Terenia through the Bar entrance and back outside, heading out for his ship in the parking lot. His ship isn't exactly very large but he figures that it will accomodate Terenia anyway. If not, he can always ask her to morph something more convenient. Keshin frowns when he notices that Terenia looks a bit worried. Keshin smiles to reassure her.

"Worried about the trip? We seem to have everything under control so far," says Keshin with a shrug. "I'll be able to replace my power cells aboard the ship and you have your Dracons back. As long as the major players are busy due to my little issue with Sukohn, we should be in the clear. Unless that guy Ossanlin really means what he said....aura nuts."

Keshin then rolls his eyes. "I frankly don't believe a word of it. What some of these people say they can do is impossible."

Mar glances over Belzar with some confusion. To his surprise the machine bears a clear aura, which strongly suggests that the machine's creators were of a higher order than most of the mortals in the Bar. Something about the residue left on the creature repulses him, and he cannot help but scowl and take a few steps back now that he is close to it.

He then turns to Elayne, crossing his arms and looking a bit ambivalent. "Whatever this creature is...I do hope that you complete the repairs quickly. ...I don't like it. It reeks of my opponents somewhere, though the thing itself is weak in comparison." Mar then smirks. "I do wonder how it was damaged. Did the poor wretch enter incorrectly? This place has a habit of confusing ship trajectory."

Elayne glanced to Mar and laughed. "Good, I can blame the Bar for my awful landing, then. In no way was it my fault," she winked then turned back to Belzar, inspecting the damage she could see from where she stood.

"I can probably handle the wiring work in here; if you need any extra tubing, I'll grab some from my ship," she told the robot, still holding the delicate pliers. "When I'm done, I can put patches over the damage to your body. You won't look like new, but it'll hold you until you can find a way home." She grabbed the pliers' matching pair of wire cutters from her belt.

Belzar couldn't understand Elayne, and kind of wished Terenia would come back and translate. Though he didn't want to inconvenience her. He just stood still for Elayne as she did hat she planned to do. He would likely need a new paint job when he got back.

Elayne bit her lip and shifted her weight. "Alright well... I guess there's no point in me prattling on if we can't understand each other." With her pliers, she removed several bolts and lifted a hatch so she could inspect his core. "Damn," she sighed at the extent of the wiring damage. "Okay, let's fix you up, buddy." She stooped to look around inside, carefully stripping and twisting together wires that had been broken. Using what she could salvage, she got to work on the tubing repairs, as well. When the work was high enough within his metal body that she could not see what she was doing, she grabbed a tiny flashlight from her belt and, gripping it between her teeth, continued her labor. When she finished, she backed away from him, almost reflexively tightening a few bolts on his legs to keep the nuts from rattling in their sockets. "Better?" she asked Belzar unnecessarily, rubbing her sore back.

"That feels better." Belzar said as he moved around. His movements were more fluid now with the new attachments. The signals from his core were able to transmit through the wires, and he was able to transfer some of his remaining oils and fuel through the tube. He could probably use some more fuel, but he wasn't sure if anything around here would be compatable.

Terenia was preparing to comment about the size of Keshin's ship when the transponder on her holster beeped.She glanced down and saw a red light flashing.

<Crap,> she muttered, pulling the transponder out and reading the message, <looks like Myitt's middle-man is more trustworthy than I had counted on. Keshin, I need to go to my ship. There's a message I need to receive. It is...essential.>

She doesn't mention the nausea that runs through her stomach when she realizes that in order to receive the message it will require speaking to the Yeerk that inhabits her sister. In all reality, she is ashamed at the reaction. After so many years she should be used to it. She should be able to look past it, to see only the Yeerk, but she can't.

<I'll be back,> she says quickly, turning hoof and galloping across the ship yard before Keshin can follow.

Keshin rolls his eyes and wanders outside of the Bar, standing in the doorway as Terenia gallops off to do some other godforsaken thing. He's not really sure what in the hell he was expecting, considering how this job has gone so far. <Damned woman. If she's not doing charity work she's running off to powder her face or something. Maybe I should just screw the entire thing and get drunk.>

<That wouldn' be very nice, Kess. Plus it goes against how we operate. We stick with a job unless it goes too far south or we get a better offer.>

<I should never, ever have made that deal with you Joanne.>

<Too late now, Kess.>

Keshin therefore stands outside tiredly, waiting for his client to return from whatever call she had to take.

Mar's irritation is mounting. Is Elayne quite done yet? He feels as if he has been standing in this spot for thousands of years. Mar frowns. "Hasn't that robot already been repaired by the Bar's monster? We only need the creature to function well enough to stay alive, don't we? I don't understand what the commotion is."

Mar then glances at Elayne rubbing her back when she has finished and looks more worried than irritated. He touches her shoulder lightly. "Are you alright? It must have been difficult to bend in that position, even though you are used to it. I can rub it if you'd like. I cannot cure you of the injury in any state."

Belzar noticed Mar seemed irritated at him for some reason, though he didn't understand Mar any more than Elayne. He scanned Mar, but didn't notice anything peculiar. Except for the fact that Mar and Elayne had no lifeforms attached to their brains. He wasn't sure if that was good or bad, but the ones that did were nicer. Well, Elayne was nice and helpful. Maybe Mar just didn't trust machines.

He wasn't really sure what to do now. Go back to the entry point and wait? He could do that, but it wouldn't be interesting. He decided to leave the building, though. he went outside and saw Keshin standing by himself. He decided to just walk a fair distance from the building and look around.

((Wait a minute. How does Belzar know Mar's name? Terenia would not have mentioned that.  :P And sorry for the non-RP-related post everybody. I will modify this one once Kitsune has posted Elayne's response. Terenia's got business to attend to. :3 ))

Terenia slows to a trot as she reaches her ship, commanding the hatch to open. She wastes no time in booting up the computers and opening up her communications link. When it comes time to send out the message, however, she pauses, considering the situation. Terenia would like to leave the bar immediately and return to the Blade ship, where she can monitor Zorish. She does not want to be forced to follow through with a plan that might fail and most certainly would result in the saving (or death) of her sister being accredited to an Andalite or Yeerk rebel.

<You certainly are in a bit of a predicament, are you not?> Efaen asks with mock sincerity, <you forgot the part where after your sister is free you will be forced to relinquish my body.>

<And you forgot the part where Visser Three hunts you down and flays you alive as soon as you're free,> Terenia snaps back. She takes a deep breath to steady her nerves and keys in the transmission.

"Message in transmission," the computer states in a monotone. Terenia waits for Zorish to accept the link on the other end.

(I was just saying Mar to prevent confusion. He doesn't know mar's name, and won't call him that if Mar comes up. He only really knows terenia's name for now, I think.)

Elayne looked to Mar when he spoke. Backing away from the robot as he turned and left the Bar, she shrugged, "He probably could have made it a while longer with just what that black goo did for him, but I saw I could help a little more, so I did." At the touch to her shoulder, her hands dropped to her sides. "I'm fine," she said, unable to avoid a blush, "but thanks. You're right: I'm used to it. Wouldn't mind sitting back down, though." She moved back to the table where they had been sitting, lowering herself into a chair.

There was a soft beeping noise, indicating a request to open transmission. Zorish, glanced at the viewscreen and verified that it came from the Bug Fighter that Terenia had taken on her mission. His hosts lips curl into a mirthful smile as he opens the transmission. A moment later Terenia's face appears on-screen, looking pained.

"Well, hey there big sister," Zorish says, using Tammy's old nickname for her sister mockingly, "having fun running errands for the head honcho?"

<What do you want?> Terenia asks, her ever-present scowl somewhat disrupted by obvious emotional distress.

"I have a job for you," Zorish says casually, grabbing a plastic Wendy's cub from her desk and sipping from it. Her eyes remained steady on the hologram of her hosts sister, watching her every move. Terenia seemed to be suffering from some sort of an internal debate.

<No,> Terenia says at last, <I'm not going to help you.>

"You do not even know what I am going to ask," Zorish says, leaning forward with a leer, "perhaps I want to help you."

<I don't care what it is, I'm not helping you,> Terenia says quickly. Perhaps a bit too quickly. Zorish frowns, setting the cup down and glaring at the holographic read-out.

"You should probably start caring," Zorish says, voice becoming a dangerous growl, "or else I will find myself a host more suited to my needs and leave this -" he gestures to his current body "-to the Taxxons before you even have a chance to save her. It would be regrettable, but I have prospects now that transcend this form."

<I cannot leave,> Terenia says, changing tactics abruptly, <I am evidentally being 'watched' by a small band of Andalites. I would surely die before I reached you.>

"Andalites, you say?" Zorish's upper lip curls vehemently, "well, we wouldn't want you to catch the wrong side of a tail blade, that's for sure. You would be quite useless to me then," she heaves a dramatic sigh, her eyes twinkling as she continues, "I suppose that means we will just have to pick you up."

<What?> Terenia's eyes widen, <No, I've already spoken to Visser Three and->

"And whatever orders he has given you are to be disregarded at the moment," Zorish says lazily, "you are working for me right now. Do not leave your current location. Do not let the Andalite scum know that you are expecting me. When I arrive, you will depart with me immediately and I will give you further details."

<I told you, I am not->

"And no funny business, Teresa," Zorish says with a bright smile, "the Taxxons are hungry."

--------------------

The screen goes blank and Terenia is left staring at blank hull. She isn't entirely sure how she expected the conversation to go, but she is sure that it had gone dreadfully awry. She blanched slightly as she thought of all the different people in the bar who would be at risk if a very deadly Imperial Yeerk were to show up.

<This is not good...> Terenia muttered, shutting down the computer and trying to shake off the ice that always settled over her spirit when she came face to face with her sister. She descended the ship and began to make her way back to Keshin, eyes downcast.

((just an fyi in case anyone is following, I'm posting most of Zorish's stuff in the Time Cops thread until he gets to the bar because he'll be interacting with those characters. If Zorish and Terenia ever interact, like now, I'll post it in both threads.))
