Keshin shrugs, attempting to smile at Elayne. "Hey, better somebody than nobody. I can only just barely keep my Bug fighter in shape, so I don't think I'd be able to fix any kind of robot. And Myitt just isn't here, but I would have called on her."
"He's sitting over there," states Keshin, pointing in the robot's general direction. "I have somewhere I need to be pretty soon, but we want to see if this guy's okay. I found Terenia wandering around outside the Bar doing god-knows-what, which is about when we ran into this guy. Though I don't really know what he's saying. Joanne's translator has been broken for about a year."

Mar glances over in Elayne's general direction and waits for her to be finished with whatever she's doing. Judging by the broken machine sitting in the seat and her comment, he's guessing it has to do with the robot. Mar has never been fond of sudden interruptions, and he doesn't see what all the fuss is about. The robot can take care of itself.
As for Elayne...it saddens him somewhat that she comes from such an empty, secular reality. Although a number have places he has been have taken a similar approach, they do not sound nearly as severe as what has happened in Elayne's country. He imagines that it would be harder to function there than in other places due to the lack of Influence he would have and thus a lack of portable mass.
He also rather enjoys the presumption that he is a God. A strong Dark side Highest, yes. But there are a surprising number of these, just as there are many Light side Highest. ...though I suppose Elayne and I have rather different ideas about what a God would be. And I have acknowledged from time to time that this is what a mortal would see. From her perspective...we would be a multitude of gods, each able to shape Reality. ...I wonder if I will meet Elayne's soul again when I at last am a Source point for Highest on my own level. And if I will be able to speak to her in a normal way at all.
