Keshin shrugs, glancing at the creature with a more studious look. He still has no idea where it came from, but it is apparently sentient judging from Terenia's end of the conversation. "So it's looking for some way to get repaired? Well..."
Keshin glances toward Terenia. "We're kind of in a hurry, you know? We can't just screw around and help this guy. We have no idea when Myitt and company are coming back from their bizarre little mission, and I do not want to tangle with them or Ossanlin the mutant Andalite. Tell the machine that the Bartender should at least have sustenance or replacement parts for him. I have no idea how it works, but that creepy stoic guy always has whatever you need. I got emergency medical supplies once. But whether he'll give it to you or not on any given day is vague."

Mar shakes his head, patting Elayne's shoulder as soon as he sees that she looks worried for his safety. "No, no. You have no need to be frightened, sweet Elayne. My Higher self records every personality I have ever used, and even sometimes the minds of those who carry a high concentration of Dark matter in their souls. Although I may not consider this mind important, it will not cease to exist."
Mar shrugs awkwardly. "And I suppose he must. But I personally think those reasons seem very bizarre. Perhaps he has another way of sustaining himself, or expects that the mass panic of genocide will sustain him for many years. It isn't my business, but I still think it's stupid. Fear and panic are stronger emotions when they exist in vast numbers."
