Temrash watched in mild interest as Oss acquired the helplessly drunk Humans. Was this a side of Oss he just hadn't seen before, or was Alic rubbing off on him. They seemed rather friendly with each other just now. He thought of telling Alic that the controllers he had invited here, while loyal to him, were not Andalite friendly. So it would be good for her to either excuse herself, or simply remain quiet when they got here.

But knowing her, she'd just get ticked off. Maybe paranoid. It would be easier to just talk with his allies beforehand.

Alic's eyes went wide when Ossanlin aquired the humans. She brought her hands together and clapped lightly out of excitement. Ossanlin was coming out of his shell! She had no idea she could have such an influence on a war-prince.

<Definately wait on using it.. Maybe later someone will have some extra clothing. > Alic was smiling, watching him as a human would be fun. She had barely noticed anyone else in the bar.

Ardiss seems to sigh in her tank. Five days is a long time to wait, but it is better than the alternative that Corliss is offering.

To Corliss, she says <I cannot accept life without a host. You would have me sit here helpless and blind because you do not trust me. You may as well just kill me instead. That is no life. I would gladly accept shelter from you, but not under those conditions.>

To Temrash: <I will wait the designated amount of time. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. I regret the loss of my former host, and am glad that you are able to help me retrieve a new one.>

--------

Kara looks a bit surprised and gives him a small, sad smile before looking away, embarrassed.

"I appreciate you telling me that story," she says sympathetically, "it can't have been easy for you."

"You're welcome, Ardiss. I'm sure that my friends will arrive as quickly as possible."

"Corliss. You don't happen to have extra artificial skin, do you? It seems Oss would like to morph Human, but it seems customary for Humans to cover themselves in public."

"I understand, Ardiss, but you're still a security threat to us," says Corliss as patiently as he can.  "We'll have to find some way to trace you."

At the suggestion of extra clothes, Corliss cringes a bit. "Erh, yes I do," he says.  "It's an Imperial uniform, standard issue.  For undercover work, stuff like that.  I don't know what would make Ossanlin more uncomfortable." He smiles sheepishly.  His comm link beeps at him urgently, and Corliss looks down at it.  It's his usual link, not the one he had been using to contact Gaz, and he picks it up--it can only be one person.

"Yes, Myitt?"

---

Myitt almost immediately picks up what Geltran had missed: The glaring presence of an Imperial tracking device, lodged into the living material of her ship's hull.  She grabs her comm link and hails Corliss.

<How stupid can I possibly be!> she rages.  <Stupid, stupid...should've scanned the damn ship...>

<It's alright, man,> says Tara.  <Odds are very good that it was that Seran guy, right?>

<We have no way of knowing,> says Myitt grimly.

<No, but we have a hunch.  He wanted us dead in a dozen ways, remember?>

<What if it was the bounty hunter, we didn't exactly make friends with him, either!>

<I bet if we try and trace down Imperial signals in our area and within the nearest Yeerk spaceports to the bar, we can find him.  His ship's in bad shape, that'll help us narrow it down.>

--chhk-- "Yes, Myitt?" comes Corliss' voice.

"Corliss, we've got a problem here."

"What, Kara didn't get the presidential suite?"

"Shut up and listen to me, someone tagged an Imperial tracking device on my fighter.  Whoever's watching me already knows where the base is, or is very close to finding it.  Even with the signal shielding, it will only delay them.  Tara thinks it's Seran, he's the last person to immediately threaten to find me.  I don't think Ardiss jumped out of the pool and stuck a trace on my fighter."

"Call Reven, tell him to start evacuating," says Corliss.  "This is far worse than the threat of some fragmentary memory."

"Yeah, no ****.  Our only other chance is if we can find Seran, destroy his computer files, and hope to hell he hasn't sent them out on a long range broadcast."  Myitt sits back in the nav seat, looking very lost indeed.

Her ship is already scanning for low energy Imperial ship signals in the area.  Nothing, which was why they chose this little corner of space--it wasn't very high traffic.  Even the longer range scans...only a Skrit Na trader and, farther out, a Hawjabran patrol.  The buzzing energy signal of a small nova.  Myitt contacted Reven and updated him on the situation, with orders to stand by--evacuation of a few soldiers and ships would begin immediately.

Myitt contacts Corliss again.  "I'm heading back," she says.  "I'm going to find this bastard if it's the last thing I do."

"Bad choice of words, mate," says Corliss.  "Be careful, alright?"

"I always am," says Myitt, locking z-space coordinates and punching the z-drive engines.

<Hmm. If you did have some clothing, that would be appreciated. Being a human is a fun experience!> Alic couldn't help overhearing Myitt talking to Corliss. <What's going on?> Suddenly having a few drinks didn't seem a big deal... "evacuation" meant seriousness.

Gaz smirks as she shrugs and says, "Very well then!"

She swings with one sword and with her other hand she reaches down to her waist and hits a button. Suddenly a piercing sound is emitted, but it doesn't seem to be bothering Gaz.

"GAH!" Fletcher cries. "You could have warned me you were going to do that!!"

"rrrAAAAAGH!" Zoshonel screamed at the sound of the machine. He took flight to get some distance between him and the sound. It nearly deafened him. He looked around for something that could help him against it.

Temrash became concerned at the word evacuation. He noticed Zoshonel outside, as well. He hoped the two outside weren't playing too rough. He took a quick glance outside, and when he opened the door he heard the high pitched noise. He didn't see any blood spilt yet, so he decided to go back in.

"Evacuation? What happened? Do we need to help in some way?"

Even over the battle, Breekan's sharp ears pick up the word "evacuation" as the door swings closed. He scrambles to his feet, wiping dirt off of his rear as he fumbles his way into the bar, looking only semi-preposterous as he darts his eyes back and forth, looking for someone with an answer.

"Evacuation? What? Trouble? What?"

Gaz took advantage of the distraction to charge her opponent with both swords ready.

In a few seconds the sound would cease, she had to act fast.

The sound was barely enough for him to handle at his current distance, with his hands over his ears. Then Gaz charged. He couldn't use his gauntlets, and if she got close enough, he'd be unable to fight at all. With a deep breath, he spewed fire from his mouth to create a wall of fire. The intense heat should drive her back, and the flames would stop her. If he hit her directly, it would likely melt her skin right off, so he just aimed at the ground. He flapped his wings so the smoke and heat waves went towards her.

Gaz jumped to the side and rolled. She cursed under her breath. That maneuver had cost Gaz her distraction. Her opponent was aware of the device now and Gaz doubted she'd be able to use it again.

Gaz tried her attack again, coming from the side this time. She swung with one cutlass, ready for a follow up with the second.

His ears were still ringing, but Zoshonel took his hands off his ears to block Gaz's blows. He caught the cutlasses in his hands, and wrestled with her to gain control. He made to headbutt her, while holding tight to the cutlasses.

Shal picks up Keirdan, and moves toward Breekan, a look of concern on her face. She has an inking as to what may be going on, but is unsure of what to do.

Keirdan squirms against Shalner, "Let me go!" He shrieks at her.

With a worried look on her face, Alic turned towards Corliss. <What is going ON? Does Myitt need us?> She stepped outside, getting paranoid and searched her surroundings, and the sky, thinking trouble may be on it's way.
