Salem climbed onto Vlad's hovering "bike" and watched, shaking his head, as Vlad took off. Maybe "Vampire" isn't human after all, he thought. Vlad's physical abilities certainly seemed to put him more on par with the Syler, from what he'd seen.
Salem tentatively ran his hands over the controls, then, shrugging, hunkered down and gunned the throttle. The bike shot forward, and Salem was nearly thrown off. The acceleration and the sensitivity of the controls were greater than he'd been expecting. He let up on the throttle and allowed the bike to slow down a bit, before gunning it again and taking it into a wide circle around the area.
Not exactly my old skimmer, but not bad, he mused. He looked around, trying to get his bearings, and realized he was pretty far east of where he'd started. He could still see Vlad making his way into the woods. Salem angled the bike towards him, opened the throttle slowly, and easily caught up to him. He braked and slowed down, holding pace beside Vlad.
"Pretty nice machine you've got here!" he called to Vlad over his shoulder with a grin.
