Vissi Ya-Wiq's comm beeps, "This is Tycoon Brett Xi-Jug. Get back up here Vissi Ya-Wiq. No success will be found on this thing."

Back to my cramped quarters...

I climbed into my shuttle and lifted off. I docked with the ship and we took off into z-space.

"Fine. Just don't start any fights. If I catch either one of you starting a fight, I'll be the one that finishes it. Understand?" He said forcefully. He didn't want dara getting hurt, and with Terenia in a new host it was possible she might try to subdue Efaen. He followed behind Terenia.

Salem's ship- nothing more than a featureless black oval, really, so dark it seemed to add a chill to the very space around it- rocketed back towards the bar at well over the speed of light, slowing as it entered the atmosphere above the Space Bar to just about a dozen times the speed of sound. A series of distant sonic booms could be heard as it continued its descent towards the shipyard. Within a few minutes, the ship had slowed to subsonic speeds, and made its way to a position over the shipyard, where it hovered for a moment before dropping down into its old spot and setting down on its landing struts.

The hatch opened and Salem stepped out. He glanced around, a bored expression on his face, and yawned. He quickly stepped down the ship's ramp and towards the door to the bar. When he reached it, he slammed it open, loudly, in what he imagined to be a very cowboy-like manner, and looked around, doing his best to hide his eyes in the shadow cast by the brim of his hat.

He wasn't able to keep up his demeanor long, however. He caught sight of two people speaking in the corner. One of them he recognized, but had not expected to see around this bar for some time.

"Keshin!?" He yelped in surprise, taking a step inside and letting the door swing shut behind him.

((Only have time for Keshin's post. )= ))

Keshin grins a bit oddly. It's an expression familiar to almost anyone who has made a bad deal with her before. But she did not keep herself alive in this Empire by being nice to every random Yeerk she met. Besides, he still comes off as ridiculously suspicious. Could he possibly be a turelek discussing a deal, or possibly a Peace Movement rebel? I can't really imagine a normal Yeerk knowing that this place exists. But then again, I am here.

Keshin then states carefully, "Well, I'm also open for discussion. What exactly has your host come down wi---"

Keshin stops and whips around upon hearing someone gasp her name. Probably foolish, considering she's not the only Yeerk named Keshin. But it's a reflex, and the guy's staring straight at her. Which is made stranger by the fact that she has no idea who this guy is. At all. Keshin raises an eyebrow, glancing boredly back to him. "I don't recognize you. Have I seen you somewhere before?"

Fiona turns around at the sound of the door opening--and groans. "Fantastic," she says to no one in particular. She throws up a hand. "Freaking paranoid." She looks around, then hunches down over her glass. "And now I'm talking to myself out loud."

Corliss slowly, deliberately removes his comm link and receives Myitt's message.

"Haven't you left, yet?" he replies with a smirk.  "Message received.  I'll be careful."

---

"Good," Myitt replies.  "You'd better be.  Or I'll kick your ass."

---

Corliss shakes his head as the transmission ends.  He puts the comm link away.

---

"So, what do we do about this?" Myitt says to Tora, stifling a yawn.  "Don't tell me you think we should stay.  Please, I don't want to hear those words come out of your mouth."

---

Corliss glances up at Efaen.  "Well.  If you're just going to sit here moping about it, I'll leave you to it.  I just wanted to have something to tell Terenia, now that you're really leaving her."  He shrugs.  "See you around."

As he starts to turn away from the Andalite he notices a peculiar rustling in the leaves of the trees nearby.  Very faint, barely noticeable.

But there is no wind.

He keeps walking without a break in stride, gazing warily up at the trees.  After all, this forest was a dangerous, alien place, and he has no weapon other than Mike's fists.

"Whatever," Terenia says to Temrash, creeping closer to catch the tail end of Corliss' conversation.

"-to tell Terenia, now that you're really leaving her. See you around."

She can make out the words easily enough, although her Hork-Bajir eyes have difficulty seeing them clearly in the dim light. She hears what she thinks is Corliss moving away from Efaen.

<Leaving me my ass,> Terenia mutters to herself. She waits a few moments to see if Efaen follows Corliss, but she appears to be leaning against the tree next to the one Terenia is perched upon. It almost seems as if she is...asleep? Terenia shrugs it off and swings herself from the branch, landing deftly in front of Efaen, arms held up defensively.

Efaen is in fact leaning against the tree with her eyes half closed once more. She did not bother to respond to Corliss, seeing no purpose in speaking with him further. He only wishes to provoke me into agreeing to take Terenia back, she reasons as her main eyes sink. Her lapse into slumber is interrupted, however, by a sudden flash of movement in her left stalk. She pulls herself from the heavy grogginess just in time to see a Hork-Bajir land in front of her in a battle stance.

"Hello there," the Hork-Bajir growls with a ghoulish grin. He pulls back a fist and punches Efaen square in the right temple, knocking her unconscious.

<I learned that one from you,> Terenia says dryly to Temrash, glancing up at the trees.

<Idiot! Didn't you listen to Temrash!> Dara was furious. Terenia had acted stupidly. He was begining to realize what a bad move it was to let her into his head.

Temrash jumped down. "The last thing she needed right now was a punch to the face." He said. "I thought you were supposed to be concerned for her health, not trying to worsen her condition." He moved closer to push her away from Efaen. "Now we're back at square one. She's unconscious, and I'm not exactly a medical expert. You may have just killed her."

Temrash was mentally kicking himself. He never should have let Terenia have the chance at doing this kind of thing. "And you call me an idiot. What's your excuse?"

Corliss whips around at the sound of the scuffle.

"Who...?" He looks between the two Hork-Bajir, but despite his years as a Hork-Bajir it's hard to determine who is who in the dim light.

He eyes the Hork-Bajir standing next to the unconscious Andalite.  Why would anyone...

"Terenia?" he gasps, taking a step forward.  "It is you, isn't it?"

Illim frowns at the newcomer's instant recognition of the Imperial... and of the Imperial's apparent cluelessness as to who the man is. He twitches in his seat, feeling the urge to bolt while he has the chance. He could start to play the role of the rebel spy's replacement, but he doesn't know the backstory yet. He can't mess this up, not before he has the information from Myitt. He'll just have to wing it.

Fortunately, he has a moment to think while Keshin is focused on the strangely dressed man.

Tora gives Myitt a smile that is only a hair away from being pitying. As tired as her friend is, she knows her work will hardly be over once they arrive home. That's where life will truly get hectic; the Bar's a vacation spot in comparison much of the time.

That, coupled with her eagerness to get home, and the hope that the news of her ship's destruction will be mitigated by Illim's Peace Movement contacts, brings her to say, "It is time to go home, Myitt. I am happy to pilot if you would like to rest. I think you should, while you still have a brief chance."

(( my posts will be a bit fewer than before sorry.....))

Silver watched them leave. She knew she would see them again....someday. She turned to her father as he seemed a bit distant now. She took his hand in hers and have a smile. "If I know you well enough, I know you be back in no time. You always have some plan up your sleeve."

Salem raised an eyebrow at Keshin's response. "Only here," he muttered.

He took off his hat and said, "It's me, Salem." He walked closer to her and, glancing around, lowered his voice, "are you sure it's safe for you to be back here, Kess? I think a fairly large proportion of the clientele still won't exactly welcome you back."

<She will be fine,> Terenia says to Temrash in thought-speech. <She would have hurt herself more by running around out here not fully recovered. I did her a favor.>

At the sound of Corliss' voice she half turns, giving him a quick glance before returning her attention to Efaen. <Yes, Corliss. I thought perhaps you could use some help persuading Efaen. Seems I was right. Can we keep her in your ship or my own? I'd prefer not to return to Temrash's. If she wakes up there again she might freak out.>

<<As soon as I am back in my own host you won't have to deal with my idiocy,>> Terenia snaps at Dara.

Terenia walks around Temrash, approaching Efaen from the tail end. <Help me move her, then.>

Keshin blinks in utter confusion at the man's statements. Clearly he must have confused her with someone else. Although, that's pretty hard to do when the person's staring right at you. Might as well redirect him and then get back to business.

"Look, I think that you have the wrong Yeerk," states Keshin, trying to shrug him off by her non-commital tone of voice. "I've never seen you before in my life, and this is the first time I've ever been to this Bar. If you mean that the patrons are somewhat shifty, then yes I agree with you. I can take care of myself. And trust me..."

Keshin shakes her head. "...there's no one else who's used this host. She must look like someone you know."

Keshin then glances back toward Illim. "What were you saying?"

Mar grins and nods, stopping in front of the GESB's doorway. "True, the place's motives don't seem exactly benign. Given what we've seen. But until information surfaces that would harm us, we might as well enjoy the ride. The food and drink are ours for the taking."

Mar then passes through the Bar door and glances around. Once again, the inside landscape of the Bar has changed. New patrons have shown up, as well as...old patrons. The bounty hunter's reappeared, with a slightly different aura. Oh, well. It isn't really Mar's problem until she starts shooting things. Mar sits at a random table, awaiting Elayne.
