<<You destroyed one loose cannon for another,>> Efaen argues, <<And I do not care much for sympathy towards Terenia. Her actions were wholly her own. Even if you made the situation possible she still had the opportunity to resist and she did not. My immediate concern lies in future plans. I understand why you find my situation untrustworthy, but surely there is some solution. The rebellion manages to insert spies amongst Imperial ranks, after all. Those spies also face the same risks of a memory dump.>>
Efaen decides to avoid reiterating Terenia's current mental state any further. It is a concern, to be sure, but she does not want to be forced to separate from Terenia when she is her only ticket back to the Blade Ship. Instead, she prefers to leave on her own terms, when all other options have been exhausted.
When Mar approaches Efaen ignores him entirely. She does not have any use for the immortal; therefore he is of no concern to her. As he addresses Ossanlin and Efaen waits him to respond to her she keeps a close watch on the bar. One stalk eye lands on Corliss, who is speaking with a new patron - an unfamiliar girl. Efaen resolves to approach him next to clear up a few details.
