Asda looked at the injury in Trey's side and her eyes went wide. She immediately reached for her kit.

"This needs better closure!" she exclaimed. "And it needs to be cleaned."

Asda pulled out an injection gun and loaded it with something. "I'm going to give you something to fight off infection. Then I'm going to clean this and close it up. It really should have gotten more immediate attention."

Morgan meanwhile, was still standing at Fletcher's grave site. He was thinking about all the things that had been happening recently.

"Sovereign? I can explain, it's really very uncomplicated." He said. He almost stuttered. But the Reptilinods' long list of mental, psychic, and generally arrogant abilities, most Reptilinod, including Vogefak, could keep there emotions in check.

"I hope so," Admiral Vekk stated, "because otherwise, we may have to strip you of your rank, position, honor...there is more at stake, than any Reptilinod would care to hear, much less experience."

How could that be, Vogefak began to wonder. Under normal circumstances, a superior officer would only just be necessitated to record why he killed his inferior officer. No one would be punished for such a thing, even without sending in a report. There had to be something deeper to this visit. He decided to play along with it.

"...Acknowledged Admiral," Vogefak said, telepathically telling Bear, {Stay low. I need you to be my undercover agent.}

Fiona settles back on her stool with her new drink. "And you'd be surprised how nice it is to not have to worry about whether you're among your own people or not." She sips at her drink. "Acting on your own is very pleasant. I don't think I could stand the way your people operate." She wrinkles her nose.

Corliss shrugs.  "You know, for a long time I couldn't stand it, either.  I reckon there's no use complaining about your lot in life.  Anyway, I suppose you could say after all this time that my host and I have developed a sort of...camaraderie, in a way."  He takes a sip of the dark red liquor.

"Hmm. Interesting." Fiona thinks about this for a moment. "What is that like, exactly?" She could at least pretend to be curious. For now, making her own opinions clear didn't interest her.

Tora opens the now-repaired Bar door, sidestepping Asda, Trey, and Hunter as she looks around for Myitt. She spots her walking with someone else a ways off and trails behind, unable to walk any faster over the gravel with her exposed feet.

Corliss eyes Fiona, sensing a tiny bit of sarcasm.

"Quite nice, actually," he replies, remaining bipartisan.  "It's much better than having someone making an awful racket in your head all day long."

<This bird's obviously either a Controller, or someone with just as much knowledge as one,> Mike warns.  <What's your game, anyway?>

<She interests me.  Perhaps she will slip and say something that reveals her true purpose here.  If not...>  Corliss mulls the idea over, staring back at his drink.  <If not, I suppose it won't precisely be the first time we've met humans with true space flight.>

Salem sighed. "It's kind of a long story. Where I come from is significantly different from your universe... or the one I spent time with the Andalites in. Back home, in the IPA, it's a homogeneous society of thousands of species. Maybe one in a thousand people is human, but we've all got access to the IPA technological base. I never really even understood what the word "homeworld" meant until I was in my teens. The world you're used to, with "Yeerks" and "Andalites" and "humans" all keeping more or less to themselves... if I hadn't spent so long traveling to other places, it would be a very alien concept. Even though that seems to be the norm in the places I've traveled, it still seems like a very lonely way to exist." He snorted, "I can't imagine having only humans for company. It sounds awful."

Myitt laughs quietly.  "You should try having only Yeerks for company," she says.  "So your world hasn't experienced an invasion by the Yeerk Empire?"

She pauses, then pulls up the green, translucent holoscreen from the computer console in her pocket.

"Hmm," she murmurs.  "Temrash's ship is this way.  We need to recover my friend's body."

Myitt starts walking again, heading for the tree line.  "You don't have to help me, if you don't want to.  I know humans are often loathe to be around the deceased."

Never had that problem, Fiona thinks.

"I imagine that is nice. I'd prefer quiet, myself." She swirls her drink around. "Of course, I prefer complete silence, but I don't suppose you have that option."

The conversation was amusing her, at least for the moment. She had little else to do, anyway.

"No," says Corliss thoughtfully.  "No, not really."

He rolls the drink glass between his hands.  "So, Fiona.  Where are you from?  You sound...North American, I should think."  Corliss squints at her.  "Canadian, perhaps?  I know our people have infiltrated the Canadian border cities."

Myitt nods, staring at the screen and only looking up to make sure they aren't running into a tree branch.

"It isn't too far," she says, stopping mid-stride to slide an icon across the air.  She continues on, following a glowing green beacon.  "Poor Justin.  He and Hadrin...they were good men.  Good friends."  She sighs, crunching across a rather big bunch of fallen twigs and leaves.  "Pointless.  All of this violence and death, at the hands of that damn turelek."

Ossanlin picks up the glass with the amber liquid, first sipping it, then downing the tumbler in one gulp, the burn racing through his hork-bajir belly.  He looks through the faceted tumbler before setting it back on the bar and looking up at Efaen.  <<I knew it was one of the outcomes possible.  Myitt gave up her claim on the human's life, as did I.  I could've sent her away, but it would've accomplished nothing.  Terenia nearly died as a result of her sister's efforts...she had a right to a say in what happened to her sister.  Whether by your tail or mine, her death would've affected Terenia negatively.  I will not say I'm sad that she's dead, but I am sorry that your host has been injured because of it.>>

Ossanlin grimaces, signaling the BT to pour another round into his glass.
