(The battle is over. Galla decided to just go ahead and fast forward instead of finishing the fight.)

Sierra

Sierra grimaced.  "Psych evaluations?  Ugh.  That does not sound like fun."  Sierra sighed.  "And the whole thing with Odrett...I don't know what to think.  I thought for sure I was dead.  At least there will be someone to have a conversation containing something that vaguely resembles intellect.  Not that talking to you all the time isn't fun, Chad."  Sierra said with a grin.

Chad

"Well, I think I'll volunteer first. I'd like to just get it out of the way, and focus on other things." Chad said, as he walked to the evaluation room. "I don't really know what to expect, or what will happen if I somehow fail."

Sierra

Sierra sighed.  She was so not looking forward to being evaluated.  The thought that someone could spend less than an hour with her and know a lot about her made her skin crawl.  Just one more reason this war sucked.

Rory

Rory smiled as the first one came in.  She glanced at her notes so far.  "Hello Chad, don't worry, there's no fail.  It's too late to take you out of the fight even if you did.  Now, take a seat and relax."  Rory closed her eyes and counted to ten silently.  When she opened her eyes, she was in pure analysis mode.  "Tell me Chad, how many yeerks have you killed, estimate please.   Followed by humans, hork bajir, taxons, and anything else that comes to mind."
I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.

Chad

Chad sat down in a chair when he went in. "I killed a Taxxon and its Yeerk during a solo mission. I also probably boiled a few dozen Yeerks in the pool at the base. It's hard to be accurate with that, though. Most enemies I have faced I managed to stun instead of kill. Oh, and I also killed one Human Controller rather violently while being tortured."

"I see."  She watched for subtle changes in his posture, his gaze, and the patterns of his breathing  "Do you feel remorse over any of these killings.  Any regret, any discomfort."  She jots down a few more notes onto the page.  "Or do you feel joy, maybe relief?"

Sometimes I think about that Human woman, and wonder what kind of person she was. If she symapthised with me and tried to fight against the Yeerk, or was a voluntary and apathetic.

Ever since Odrett spared Sierra for whatever reason he had, I wondered about the Yeerks I killed indiscriminately. Trapped in the war. Trapped in that pool.

I've been trying to distance myself from it. I wanted to end this war as quickly as possibly to minimize casualties, but there are still casualties. I try to distance myself to protect myself, but if I distance myself too much I may stop feeling altogether. I have regrets, but I can't just stop fighting.

"Alright, is there anything else of importance?"

"I don't think you were around for this, but when we started out we didn't exactly go together like peanut butter and jelly. There was a bit of bickering, and I kind of took off. I had two missions, and the second was unsuccessful. I thought I was stronger than I was, but now I see I need help. I also need to keep an eye on the twins and Cody to ensure they don't destroy the world in the process of defeating the Yeerks."

"That's good to know.  I'll speak to them as well.  Is there anybody ready to go up after you.  I'm done for now.  Feel free to send the next one in."

Chad left the room. "That wasn't too bad." He said mostly to himself. "You're up next." He said to the next waiting teammate.

Sierra

Sierra grimaced.  This was going to be such a pain.  She walked into the room and sat across from Rory.  "Let's get this started, shall we?"

The Headmistress
She smiled Rory had quickly grasped the skills she had taught her. Rory was an empathic able to feel out people naturally. Empathics had the lowest rate of registration mostly because their abilities are mistaken for natural tendencies or "gifts" when harnessed however were very usefull. The main sign of an empathic was a certain mind presence that consisted of emotions rather than thoughts when tried to be read.

She decided to contact ordett. See what other developments were occuring with the so-called psychic hunters.

(Sorry I haven't been on much I have relatives staying over.)

" Calm down, nothing bad is going to happen.  Tell me Sierra, how many yeerks have you killed?  Followed by humans, hork bajir taxxons and anything else that comes to mind.  Specifics aren't necessary but please tell me whatever your comfortable with."
