(All right. See you when you get back, then. As for me... I've been having some technical difficulties. Actually, my computer just needs a defrag. But, my Dad is considering taking it out to get the hard drive cloned. If he does, I won't be on for a few days. Well, maybe. I'm not sure. Anyway, see you when you get back Este, and if I suddenly go missing, the rest of you know why. So, let's get this going again. I'll try my best to do so without god-modding. Sorry for the long post if you aren't in the mood to read a lot, btw. I seriously need to write.)
I felt myself regain consciousness, but did not open my eyes. My entire body ached and throbbed. "Whadda crazy dream," I mumbled, and opened my eyes. Blinded by an overhead light, I immediately closed them. Where was I? As far as I remembered, the cave didn't have lights. Then a thought occurred to me. Maybe I hadn't been dreaming.
I opened my eyes again and began to observe my surroundings. I was lying flat on my back on a hard, smooth surface. Straps held every joint of my body in place. The room I was in was small with bare concrete walls and a wooden door at the front.
Oh, god, you've been captured. Panic started to build inside of me. I tried to turn my head to the side, but the strap was too strong, too tight. I could barely breathe. So I began to morph polar bear.
The morph was surprisingly difficult, and took longer than I expected it to. I spent three minutes concentrating on the polar bear, only to find that a thin layer of white fur had sprouted from my skin. Over time, my coat grew thicker. Then, my hands and feet transformed into paws. I heard a series of sickening cracks and snaps as my bones shifted and changed within my body. My face bulged outward. My sense of smell improved. And, finally, when all of the other changes had taken place, I began to grow. The straps became uncomfortably tight. Tighter and tighter, until it was so much that I thought I would burst before the straps broke. When the pain seemed too much, one of them finally snapped. Then, another, and another after that, until I was completely free. The entire morph had taken fifteen minutes.
I pushed myself off of the hard table and onto the carpeted floor. Beside one leg of the table was a bucket filled with gray-green liquid. Something moved under the surface. I didn't need to look closer to guess what it was. I mentally shuddered, imagining what could have happened if I hadn't awoken and morphed in time.
Angrily, I bent low and reached my face into the bucket, taking the squirming slug in my mouth and crushing it with my teeth. Now that that’s taken care of, you need to find out where you are.
I was about to walk to the door, when something lying up against the back wall caught my attention. It was a small, metal box. Nothing of importance to me. But, as usual, my curiosity got the better of me. I walked over to the box and lifted the lid with my nose. Inside were several gun-like weapons—dracon beams.
I immediately thought of the battle. Fear pulled at my heart. <Ais? Edward?> I called in thought-speak. <Are you all right? Can you hear me? Where are you?>
(So, obviously a lot has happened since the battle. Again, I'm trying to do this without god-modding anyone. I guess Leah was carried off by the Yeerks, I don't know. Some of you may have separated. Whatever makes the most sense to you guys.)
