With an aviation morph secured, it was time to start working on aquatic morphs. I was going to need two kinds; salt water and fresh water. Heading over to the aquarium I started searching around for some fish. Lucky for me they had a small exhibit were you could pet the fish. It was a brook trout, nothing special, but it would work its purpose. It was a bit weird for a teenager to want to pet the fish, but I didn't really care. I touched it's backside, and concentrated. A minute later I was washing my hands with sanitizer while it snapped itself from its trance.
With a freshwater fish done with it was time to head over to the saltwater animals and fine one for that purpose. I settled on a common dolphin. They were smart, playful, and native to the area. Even better, I was able to convince one of the handlers to let me feed them as part of a school project. It wasn't to hard to get that DNA. After thanking the trainer I headed out of the aquarium.
Sitting down on one of the benches I tried to think on what to do next. I'd need a battle morph, that was for sure. But what animal would I get? Lions, tigers, and bears (I resisted the 'oh my' thing) were options, but I wanted something a bit more original and rounded. They were tough alright, but not native to these parts of the world. Okay, maybe bears, but people aren't usually receptive to bears walking around the neighborhood. I could get one like a black bear, but I still wanted something to use when I didn't need brute strength.
Then it hit me; raccoons. They were common animals that no one would be suspicious of. They were also small but vicious little animals when cornered. But still, their size would make them seem harmless. It would also give an advantage when stealth was needed. It was perfect.
Getting up I headed over to the mammal section. Starting with the small mammals I found where the raccoons where kept. Sneaking around I found the entrance to the exhibit. I had bought some cheap crackers at a snack bar before coming there, and so I held one out. A raccoon eventually found its way over, and we pretty much traded. He got the cracker, I got the DNA. Leaving the habitat I headed over to the large mammals. Finding the grizzly bear exhibit I very carefully got in. Even though the one I was after was raised in captivity, I was still as scared as heck. I would have morphed into that hawk right then and there and flew out, except I would have probably been tranquilized for being an escapee.
"Okay, nice bear. I'm not going to hurt you." I weakly said as I got closer. It didn't seem to really care, though my eyes never left from its claws and teeth. I touched it, and as soon as I got the DNA I got out of there as quickly as possible.
Once felt safe and as far from that exhibit as possible I breathed a sigh of relief. I had gotten all the morphs I would need for now. I made a quick mental list;
Broad Wing Hawk- For flying
Common Dolphin- Salt water
Brook Trout- Fresh water
Grizzly Bear- Muscle
Raccoon- General use
Alright, I think thats good for now. Off to find...
"Ais, I was wondering where you went. I saw you earlier and I guess you didn't hear me. I'm guessing your here to get morphs?"
