Animorphs Championship Bracket
« on: March 23, 2013, 03:34:05 PM »
So, in the spirit of March Madness and sports and stuff or whatever, I was wondering "what if somebody tried to make an Animorphs-themed bracket?"  Yanno, take the alien races who have confronted one another in some manner (or who very nearly did or would have, since not all of them were so clear-cut as directly facing one another), and determine the 'winner.'

There it is, the Animorphs book series re-told as a series of championship matches.  Lol, well, I had fun with it, at least.  If anybody else wants to give it a go, here is the link I used, although I couldn't actually get the fill-it-in thing to work so I had to screenshoot the image and put it in paint to fill it out there.  Maybe others will have better luck with the thing, though.  I'd like to hear/see a few other takes on this, maybe from people who know a bit more about sports than I do (so, anything at all about sports, really).  :P

The north pole book. 30, I believe. Venber were used by the Yeerks for a noth pole project, and the Five were mentioned briefly.

Thanks everybody who said nice things!  :D

It's book 25, actually.
The Animorphs ask Ax about the Venber, and why they're extinct, and he proceeds to tell them how the Andalites know about them.  Basically, a species called the Five wiped out the Venber because their bodies contained a chemical that could speed up their computers, and the Andalites found out about this and wiped out the Five because the Five had wiped out the Venber.
I notice the Taxxons are missing. But where would they fit in the scheme of things, anyway?

The Taxxons just more or less coasted throughout the entire series without capitulating to anything or anyone or defeating anything or anyone.

Then again, maybe they could be counted as having defeated the Yeerks...? Since the Yeerks can't control their hosts' hunger and have been known to lose control due to that. That's quite good - few others have ever done that.

Well, if not for the fact that they're squishy balloons with a disturbing tendency to explode when confronted with anything sharper than a butter knife.

I know what Garatrons are, but what interactions did they ever have with the Andalites?

No place for the Leerans or Skrit-Na either, and the Howlers failed to kill the Iskroot.

But if you're gonna summarize the series this way that's about as close as you're gonna get.
