((Hey guys, sorry for the delay, I've been super busy lately.  Let's breathe some life into the rebel end of things ^^ ))

The ship flew out of the dim tunnel and emerged into an entirely different universe.  Bright light flooded the cabin from outside the windows, artificial light in an articifial metal hangar.  The huge metal room, supported by weak but stable force fields, had been dug with the help of the dozen or so skittering Taxxons crawling along the dirt floor.  A number of Hork-Bajir were there as well, one fixing a damaged Bug fighter, another riding almost comically on a floating black mag lev transport across the hangar bay.  Grey dust gusted up behind him.  Another Bug fighter hovered in from a different opening, this one straight in the ceiling, blue gases flickering beneath its hull.

But strikingly, most of the people in this underground were humans.  All ages, all backgrounds, one a young boy with a dark complexion with his arm in a sling, another an older man with white hair who could've been someone's grandfather.

Their ship whirred and rumbled as its landing gears, like legs, lowered from underneath it.  Corliss piloted the Bug into one of the small bays partitioned around the room, divided by metal sheeting.  There was a small thud as the gears hit the ground.

"Welcome home, kids," Corliss croaked, smiling faintly as he whirled the chair around and slowly got to his feet, pressing a hand against his freshly bleeding shoulder.

"Finally," Myitt sighed, rubbing her blistered hand, which has begun to itch.  "Come on, let's get you all to a doctor, and get some real food."  She helped Aurora up.  "Sound good?"

Corliss murmured to the ship's computer, and the hatch melted open, allowing him to slide out onto the dirt floor.  The room smelled acrid, like some kind of universal engine fluid scent.

Outside, another young man, this one around 16 and fair skinned, with red hair, greeted Corliss.

"Welcome back," said the young red haired man, clapping Corliss gently on the back.  "Hmmm.  You look a bit worse for wear, my man.  Let's get all of you to the medic."  He glanced back at the hatch warily.  "I heard you've brought friends?"

"Yeah, Reven," said Corliss.  "Just a few unwilling recruits.  What else is new?"

"Myitt's alright?" asked the boy.  Corliss nodded.

"Right here," Myitt said brightly, leaning out the hatch, then leading the newcomers over.

"Wow," Tia said, looking around. "Yeah, this is...wow. I didn't know we'd grown this much," Norpo added. "So, where's this doctor I've heard so much about?"

((Wow that was quick!  ;D))

"Yeah, kind of a shock, innit?" Corliss said with a smirk.  "We're giving them a run for their money.  Tia, Norpo, this is Reven.  He's one of the unfortunate blokes who runs things round here."

"And Corliss is one of the blokes unfortunate enough to be related to the bloke who runs things round here," Reven said snidely, offering a hand to Tia/Norpo.  His accent was from somewhere in maybe midwestern North America.  "I'm Reven Nine-Eight-One.  My host's name is James McAvoy.  Jimmy."  His host smiled and squeezed Tia's hand a little bit more firmly.  "It's a pleasure.  I hope Rev's brothers have been treating y'all okay?" He nodded at Aurora as well.

"Right, besides the massive injuries and post-traumatic stress.  Let's get them all to the infirmary, it's this way," Myitt said with a brisk smile, gesturing toward a big main hatchway, sliding doors that led to a main hallway.  "Moving along.  Aurora, I think you'll feel a bit better when you've gotten something proper to eat."

((I have no life.  ;D))

Tia returned the smile but was shooed off by Myitt before she could think of anything to say, and to be honest, Norpo wasn't going to help.
"I get the feeling you're not fond of him," Norpo commented to Myitt.

((Hehehe...it's all good XD  I'm not much better!))

"He's my brother, of course I'm not fond of him," Myitt said with a thin smile.  "Yes, they're like the Three Musketeers.  Or the Three Stooges," her host added dryly.  "Jesus, my hands hurt.  Corliss, can we get a DNA analysis of that thing?"

"Yeah, Reven, set up a decontamination shield around the fighter, we got hit by some kind of alien life form," Corliss said, leaning on the younger man inhabited by his sibling.  "Not sure what it was, but it hit some of us with an acidic defense mechanism.  We don't want to take the chance of something foreign getting airborn."

"Well, thanks for telling me," said Reven, more than a bit miffed, instantly grabbing a black comm link from his belt and speaking into it.  "We need decontamination at hangar bay twelve, immediately."  The link chirped and he returned it to the belt.  A Hork-Bajir passed them and growled a greeting.  Reven nodded at him.  "Morning, Benthil."  What time was it, exactly?  With no windows, time felt disconnected here.

They made their way through the big double doors and into a more dimly lit metal hallway, still busy with people coming and going from the hangar bay.  Globular white ceiling lights similar to those in the Bug fighter lit their way at regular intervals.  "So where are you from?" said Reven more calmly, addressing both Aurora and Tia/Norpo.

"This one's Norpo, he's one of us.  Former Peace Movement, I guess.  Don't know if you ever met him, but we're starting to think he's trustworthy," Myitt said, glancing back at Reven.

"Earth," Norpo said calmly. "Like to go back, if possible," Tia added. "Assuming somehow everyone gets amnesia, I think we're stuck." Norpo replied. "Not that this isn't a great place. It's just not..." He paused. "Home?" Tia supplied quietly. Reality was starting to set in a bit.

((sorry about the delay, guys. I went out of town expectantly and had no computer))

Aurora trailed behind, her jaw locked and eyes wide as she took in her surroundings. At one point a Hork-Bajir passed them and growled. Aurora, who had never seen one of the large reptilian aliens before froze in terror and it took her a good minute before she realized that the others had gone on ahead, not noticing her plight. She scurried back to them, walking as close to their little group as possible.

Another Hork-Bajir passed casually, not even sparing a glance at the little group. But Aurora seized up in fear, hugging herself so tightly that her fingernails sliced into her skin. She tried to say something, but her mouth was like sandpaper. This new, unfamiliar place had erased what little recovery Aurora had made.

((We shall never forgive you! Never! Never ever! Forgive you for...what are we not forgiving you for again? Glad to see you're back! Hope your trip was intersting.))

"You ok back there, kid?" Tia asked, glancing over her shoulder. She slowed her pace, catching up to Aurora. "Freaked out by the Hork-Bajir?"

Aurora didn't answer. She was afraid that if she opened her mouth she would start screaming and never, ever stop. What had she gotten herself into? What had she ever done to deserve this?

Unfortunately for Aurora at that moment one of the few Taxxons in the complex came around the corner. It passed a safe distance away, but the stench of the overgrown centipede washed over the group, drawing Aurora's full attention. For a girl who had always despised insects and bugs, the over sized centipede was just too much. She opened her mouth to scream, but found that no sound would come out. She froze in place, staring open-mouthed at the alien, feeling as if she were on the edge of a complete meltdown. Vaguely, Aurora wondered if she were about to cry or throw up.

Tia put her arm around Aurora. "Hey, it's ok. Come on, let's go get you some soup or something and let the doctor check you out."

((Luckily, Michael's dead, so I don't have to worry too much anymore about missing things.))

<<Hey, it looks like I've found those traitors again.>> Estril said. He'd been tweaking the computer trying to get a bigger range.
<<Great. Then visser three won't yell at you again.>> Tyronne said sarcastically.
Estril laughed. <<oh the visser three will be doing more than that. Look at it, it's stopped moving, on the moon of a gas planet.>>
<<So?>>
<<Rumor has it that all the many traitors over the years have built a hidden base on the moon of a planet. We may have just found their secret base.>>

((Sorry guys, gotta run to work ^^; But here's a start.))

Myitt glanced at the Taxxon, then at Aurora.  "Come on, kid," she said gently.  "It's not as bad as it looks.  He's actually a nice guy."  She rubbed the back of her neck hesitantly.  She leaned to Corliss.  "I think the younger one is about to flip," she said, frowning.

"Good thing Gerlan is just down the hall," Corliss said tersely, himself looking in pretty bad shape, pale and tired.

((Gerlan...Why does that name sound familiar?  ???))

"Gerlan?" Norpo asked. The name sounded...familiar. "He is...?"

Aurora gulped, trying to get the feeling of sandpaper out of her mouth. She nodded and pushed herself forward, averting her gaze to the ground. She did not want to be faced with any more nasty surprises and moved forward slowly, afraid that her knees were about to give out.
