Madat made Will roll his eyes, but Will would have done that himself if he had control. Whether or not the Yeerk was in charge of the guy or not, he was nuts. Yeah, being a member of the Yeerk Peace Faction was dangerous, but just blurting it out like that was an unnecessary risk. It was because of things like that Madat was not helping the Empire. Apparently, though, each side lacked a brain or two.

"Well, sorry you feel like that. However, I'm not willing to take unnessary risk, and this is a major one. If you want to let everything out at once to people you are not even sure are going to help. Furthermore, with Chapman nearby he could possibly find out about this little meeting, and if a certain someone finds out about it..."

Madat left it at that as he was going to let the other two fill in the rest of that statement. With that they left the alley way and began trying to find where Chapmans meeting was.

The teenaged boy noticed Kaitlyn approaching, and cringed slightly. "This place is freakin' creepy, man. I'm out of here," he said, ignoring her polite greeting and heading for the exit. Kaitlyn frowned, surprised. She was about to head after him when she heard Chapman's voice booming over the speakers. "Everyone please take your seats," a woman hissed quietly.

Kaitlyn sighed and sat at the nearest table, listening to the speech she had heard hundreds of times. Illrid especially hated it. Of course, this was nothing compared to the full members meeting. There, she would actually have to pay attention.

At last, the speech was over, and everyone but the full members proceeded to the set of double-doors on the far left wall. It was impossible for Kaitlyn to tell exactly what Illrid was thinking, but she could sense ner nervousness as they left the main room and headed to the meeting.

<You're nervous, aren't you?> Kaitlyn said. It wasn't a question.

<I hate these meetings. If Iniss is in a bad mood, he takes his anger and frustration out on the rest of us. You know that. I'm already at risk of demotion. I don't need him screwing things up for me.>

She entered the meeting room and took a seat at the end of a long table, waiting patiently while everyone else made themselves comfortable. Finally, Chapman arrived. Kaitlyn and Illrid could tell by his cold expression that he was angry.

Kaitlyn began to tune out the rest of the world as the meeting began, not paying attention to a word Chapman said, the unusual Yeerk names he called off. He suddenly paused, frowning.

"That's odd," he muttered. "Where are Madat, Corliss, and Norpo?" He looked expectantly at the group, as if waiting for someone to answer. Finally, he sighed and slapped his hands firmly on the table. "Illrid, go look for them."

Kaitlyn immediately felt Illrid's embarrassment. It seemed to her that Iniss looked for whatever excuse he could to humiliate her and make her uncomfortable. Most normal hosts would have been rather pleased to know that their Yeerks were miserable. It only made Kaitlyn more afraid.

She stood and left the room quickly, heading down the hallway and passing through the double-doors back into the main room. There, she spotted Madat, who seemed to be in a hurry.

"It's people like him that really piss me off," Tia said suddenly. Both she and Norpo had been quietly listening, watching for clues that would reveal if he was really on their side or if he was just trying to rat out the real Movement members. But watching Will's display unsurprisingly ticked her off. What was surprising, though, was the fact that Norpo was also a bit furious. "Maybe you should take him out," Norpo said, technically addressing Tiamate, but accidentally saying it aloud without realizing it.

Aurora looks at Tia in surprise and suspicion. She hadn't paid her too much attention before now, focusing her worries on Mike. But now it seemed as if she were talking to herself. Great. This got better and better. She had wound up in the loony bin. And something in Tia's oddly directed words bothered her.

"Take him out? What is that supposed to mean?" Aurora asks. The only experience she had with 'taking someone out' was in action or horror movies and whatnot, where it inevitably meant...but no, Tia couldn't have been talking about killing Will. Just for walking away? Suddenly Aurora wasn't too certain about Mike's genial offer for her to walk away.

"Huh?" Norpo turned to look blankly at Aurora. "Oh, sorry. I was just being a bit sarcastic. That time and all." He put on Tia's best smile. He hadn't really meant to say that, it was true. He was just furious because he thought Will was acting like he was the only one risking his neck. And someone who was that unwilling wasn't someone he wanted to be associated with.

"Oh...right. Sorry." Aurora shook her head. Five minutes with these people and already she was sounding like the paranoid one. If she didn't watch herself pretty soon they'd have her believing their alien stories. She chuckled inwardly at that notion. She might be paranoid, but she was still sane.

"It happens," Norpo said, rolling one of Tia's shoulders.
<Are you sure I can't take him out?> Tia asked.
<Yes, I'm sure.>

Madat didn't hear the rest of them talking, or making what sounded like threats. He did, however, see someone coming out from the double doors where Chapman's meeting was supposedly at.

<<See, I told them that they would send someone to go look for us.>>

<Yeah, yeah, your always right and so smart and...>> Will thought sarcastically.

<<I do not need sarcasm from you Will, you thought the same thing.>>

<<Still, you could have been nicer in saying it.>>

Madat just went back to ignoring Will, who followed suit by ignoring Madat. The small cold war inside his head gave Madat more control than usual, but he didn't do anything different. Instead he walked up to the guy and just started talking, hoping to get in the meeting without having his head biten off (metaphorically or literally)

"Hello there. Are you coming from the meeting with Chapman? I apologize for being late. The humans are terrible at building things. Every door and room looks the same so I had trouble finding the right one."

"No excuses," she snapped. Before he could head through the doors, though, she held a hand up to stop him.

"Would you happen to know where Tia and Mike have gone off to?" she said, using the names of the human hosts, rather than the Yeerks, though she knew this was unnecessary.

((Man I can't believe it. I sleep and this is how much I get))

"Aliens huh?" Michael said skeptically. This wasn't quite what he expected. He was expecting spies or something. Spies at least was a bit believable. Aliens, on the other hand...
"I'm with Aurora. I need proof before I can believe anything with aliens in it."

Just then Michael heard something behind him. He looked behind, but didn't see anything. He brushed it aside thinking it was a rat or something.

"Hey, who's that" Michael said pointing at the girl who was coming. "Is she supposed to be part of this meeting as well?"

"No, I do not know where they are. I ran into them before the speech, but I have not seen them since." Madat said in a serious tone.

<<Smoooth lying there Madat.>> Will commented.

<<If your a member of the Yeerk Peace Faction you have to learn to lie to survive.>> Madat replied.

"So then, may we proceed to the meeting now?"

Kaitlyn scowled at him, but stepped aside, allowing him to pass. "Very well," she said. She opened the door, allowing him to cross the threshold. "Next time, don't be late," she added for good measure.

<Impressive,> Kaitlyn thought sarcastically. <That sounds really threatening, coming from a fifteen year-old.>

<But I am not a fifteen year-old.>

<You certainly act like one.> Kaitlyn immediately regretted saying that. To her relief, Illrid remained silent as she continued her search. She checked the kitchen and the bathrooms, but Corliss and Norpo could not be found.

<Aha!> Illrid thought triumphantly, heading for one of the empty rooms on the right side of the building. She entered the room, only to find that it was empty. Through Kaitlyn, Illrid sighed with disappointment. She was about to turn and leave when she caught the faint murmur of voices from outside.

"Strange..."

She opened the door and stepped outside into an alleyway. There stood four humans, two of which she recognized: Tia and Mike. The others were a girl she assumed to be in her late teens, and a younger boy.

"What's going on here?" Kaitlyn mentally grimaced, feeling Illrid's growing excitement. If her suspicions were correct, this would mean a promotion. Illrid was very "talkative" when she was happy. At least she ignored her when she was angry.

"Um...guys" Michael said. "We have company, and judging by how she was acting a few minutes ago, i don't think it's friendly company"

Michael thought about what he should do. If Mike's story was true, this would we one of the "less peaceful" aliens. Which means it might be better to run away right now. If it was just that, a story, then they're probably just in trouble for being here. And it'd be better just to go with her. He decided to wait and see how the others reacted...or at least how Mike and Tia reacted. Aurora was a newbie like himself, so she probably wouldn't do the right thing.

Just then, Michael thought of a third possibility. That Mike's story wasn't just a story, but was also a lie. Perhaps the "less peaceful ones" are actually the peaceful ones. And Mike and Tia and a few others, maybe even this girl that just came, were the "less peaceful" aliens.

Aurora glanced back at the newcomer, surprised by the sharpness of her voice and surprised even more when she realized that it had come from a girl younger than her. She felt strangely as if she had been caught doing something she wasn't supposed to do. Shifting uneasily Aurora wondered again what she had gotten herself into. She decided to try and be nice to the younger girl, or at least perhaps warn her away from the psychos she was associating with.

"Oh, hey. Mike took us out here to talk. Is there somewhere else I should be?" Aurora asked, then she realized that she didn't even know if this younger girl would know the answer and continued, "Are you a full member? Sorry...I'm not quite sure how everything here works. It's my first time.

"Mike took you out here?" she echoed. "Interesting."

Illrid could barely contain her excitement. She glanced questioningly at the four of them, as if waiting for one of them to fall to their knees and confess.

"Yes, I am a full member. Mike, Tia, it looks to me like you've led these two new comers away, during a meeting. Any particular reason?"

Illrid suddenly realized that she was acting out of character. Kaitlyn was supposed to be a kind and sweet girl. Of course, it wouldn't matter, if these humans were a threat.
