I can't believe there's an active animorphs forum, I didn't think anybody else remembered the series.  I was absolutely obsessed with these books as a kid.  For some reason I lost interest or just failed to keep up at some point and I honestly don't even remember how far I got.  I'm going to be starting over from The Invasion and reading the entire series.  Anyway, Hi!  I look forward to being a part of the community.

<Hey taco!  Yep, Animorphs is still alive and well here.  Welcome to the forum, I'm DinosaurNothlit, RAF's resident Ankylosaur/Tyrannosaur mixed-morph nothlit.  Long story.  Skrit Na, oatmeal, the Time Matrix and tranquilizers were involved.  Anywho, point is I'm a dinosaur now and I've come to accept it.>

<Oh, and stick around until the talking seal can collect your sanity.  I hear she's having technical difficulties right now, so it may take longer than usual, but sanity is messy nasty stuff and I'm sure you'll want to be rid of it as soon as possible, am I right?>

Sanity is vastly overrated and hampers creativity.  Who needs it?

I spend 48 hours a week on an ambulance with a lot of downtime, so I'm hoping I can fly through the series fairly quickly.  My best estimate for how far I got originally was somewhere in the neighborhood of The Weakness.

<This is the 'RAF Social' Board. We really get to know each other here. You've already introduced yourself, and you can also have your own Member Profile here, too!> The Bear lumbers back through the doorway, leading RedHunter into a hallway. There are many, many doors here.

<This door is the way to the 'RAF Projects' Board. Lots of RAFians work together on all kinds of cool stuff, like producing Animorphs audio-books and  "RAF: The Animated Series"! It's a really good show....> Bear moves over to another large door.

<Here is the 'Bored Board'. We play games and love to waste our time here! It's a lot of crazy fun. You should join us here!> Bear continues down the hall, speaking as he goes.

<These three doors are for the Animorphs Section. We discuss the books, TV show, and anything about the series in the 'Animorphs Forum'. The 'Animorphs Role Playing' Board is exciting! RAF always has active RPG's, and lots of cool players. I hope you like to Role-play as much as I do....> Bear's short tail wagged. <And we have some talented writers who share their 'Animorphs Fan Fiction & Art' in here. I like that room.> Across the hall, there is another set of three doors, side by side.

Howdy! I'm Bear, in case you didn't guess. :P Sorry for the insanely long post there, but see, there's this little contest goin' on to see who can be first to post an obnoxiously long introduction in the newcomers' threads. And, well, I won! :D Nice to meet ya, and hopefully, I'll see ya around the boards.

And, if ya don't mind me asking... can I assume you're a paramedic? 'Cuz that's just plain cool if you are. :)

Right now I'm an EMT, and I'm in my last few weeks of paramedic school.  So right now I'm 3rd riding with another medic to get my hours done, and once I finish I'll be able to test to get my paramedic license.
I'm also a zoology major at a different school.  long story.

<That is so cool, I don't think I've ever met an EMT before!  Hopefully I don't ever need your services, but still, it's pretty awesome that you're going to be driving an ambulance around someday.>

The insanity level bar was formerly your 'activity bar' - it increased with your activity. As you might have already found out, we RAFians have this little 'we're all insane' thing going on, so the name of the bar was changed to 'Insanity Level' by our awesome mods :) Basically, your insanity increases with the number of posts you make in a certain time period. Hope that helped :)
