And anyway, telling any kid, whatever the age, not to trust their father should be a hard thing to do. I mean, the kid sorta thought his dad was a yeerk and wanted to talk to him about it and keeps saying how he's freaked out by the fact that his dad could be one of them. Cassie tells him not to trust his dad. Can you imagine that? Like, you think your dad's going through something and suddenly this person out of nowhere says not to talk to your dad about it? Never to trust your dad, your father, again? I mean, don't you think that that is horrible?
I think that's pretty harsh, and besides, in the narration, Jake says something like he and Cassie are really close to their parents or something. So maybe Cassie was just imagining what it would be like to be suddenly told not to trust your father.
I'm a strong believer of the fact that Cassie acts with her conscious and acts the way that, well, most of the time, any human being should act. No one should want to fight and not feel guilty, no one should not want peace but they should always look out for any idea of peace no matter how small, and no one should ever feel good about telling someone not to trust their loved one
I don't know, I mean, this is just my opinion, but Cassie should feel horrible for saying that. Sure, she saved the kid, but at what cost? Losing a father?
