I don't think he was really important to the overarching plot besides that one book.

He lived happily ever after? xD

He could if he had a sense of humour!  ;D

And no, we never heard from Torreli again. If he survived the war, he would probably have been pretty annoyed that those pesky kids were the world's saviors!

Is there a proper order to read all the books? Specifically, when should I be reading the megamorphs books and various chronicles while following the series?

Thank you all for running this great site!

The proper reading list would be to go with the publication order:

----------------------------------------

Animorphs #1-7

Megamorphs #1: The Andalite's Gift

Animorphs #8-12

The Andalite Chronicles

Animorphs #13- 18

Megamorphs #2: In the Time of Dinosaurs

Animorphs #19-22

The Hork-Bajir Chronicles

Animorphs #23 - 29

Megamorphs #3: Elfangor's Secret

Animorphs #30 - 35

The Visser Chronicles (Also known as just 'Visser')

Animorphs #36 - 40

Megamorphs #4: Back to Before

Animorphs #41-47 (Note: Starting with #45, the series begins its final arc to end)

The Ellimist Chronicles

Animorphs #48-54

----------------------------------------

It's all a matter of preference. Same will say the order of publication date. Others, like myself, will say chronological order (Which is the order I'm currently reading the series in).

Here's a question that doesn't have a definitive answer...

Why the heck didn't the Animorphs think of getting a goose or duck morph earlier? I mean, it would have saved a whole bunch of time and energy. Bird of prey is all good until you gotta fly a couple of hours to get there, and they could have flown in formation too! All they would've had to do was learn how to fly in v-formation.

I guess it just never occurred to them.  Once they had the raptor morphs, finding a more efficient way of getting around was probably not high on their list of priorities.  Too preoccupied with saving the world and all of that.

Plus, ducks just aren't that cool.  It would have been boring to read about ducks flying around.

in the future, create new threads for questions with indefinite answers...the whole reason this thread was made was because there were too many threads with definite questions, so a thread where you can ask questions with definite answers was made.

I can't imagine KA never thinking of it. In just about every book where they had to travel by air, someone mentions that birds of prey aren't distance flyers, and they had to remain spread out to avoid suspicion. This screams "Get a goose/duck morph!". Something that's good at flying long distances, and travels in groups. I also wonder why Tobias never got an owl morph, when he sometimes complains that his vision isn't good at night.
