Larry looks at Jocun, realizing how much the battle had hurt him in ways other than physical pain. "I apologize for renewing the memories of that battle." Larry traces his scars and says. "These are Heros Marks for killing Mephisto, Diablo, and Ba'al. In my land a Hero's Mark is given to those who have vanquished mighty demons, though most who actually hunt for demons are never heard from again. Since you are an outsider this is a very rare oppurtunity to show to your land that you are a powerful warrior Jocun, but if you truly do not want the Heros Mark then I will respect your choice." Larry takes a swig of mead and then asks the bartender for antother mug of mead and a small bowel.

The bartender gave what Larry asked, and Jocun gave him some more money. "It's okay Larry. I just...had a reaction. I'll take a mark." He had yet to tell Larry that he was really just a politician with the ability to morph a dangerous creature in times of need, but after surviving that ordeal, maybe he did deserve something that said he was more than just a civilian politician.

<The scar is going to go away if we morph again. I suppose we'll have to put it back on afterwards?>

<Yeah, I'll get something to make sure the exact shape of the scar is copied, and reapply it as necessary.>

Larry takes the bowel and pours whats left of the mead in his first mug into it and then takes a swig from the new mug as he hands the empty one to the bartender. "Very well Jocun. I should tell you that a Hero's Mark is a permanant scar since it is demonic. No matter how many times you shape shift it will never change. Therefore are you certain you want this Mark?" Larry asks his friend.

"More magic, huh? That will be easier than putting it back on if I need my abilities again. Go ahead and do it. I doubt it would have many negative consequences." Jocun said. Next time I come back to Sanctuary, I'll see if anyone still needs my help with anything. Though given how much faster time goes there, it could be quite different next time I go."

<I know you don't normally use morphing for stealth, but I guess if that mark is on you, it would give people a way to identify you in morph.>

<I did say it wouldn't have many negative consequences. Not it wouldn't have any. I'll just have to deal with that if the need arises.>

Inexplicably and without warning, the reptilian humanoid and his intelligent armour disappear from the bar. There's no flash, no bang, more a wink as they simply vanish. Where they have gone, or even when, is unknown and whether their disappearance will ever be explained remains to be seen...

Lach trudged through the undergrowth of the forest, bow in hand. His long, brown hair tied back into a ponytail with a simple piece of leather. On his head he wore a bandanna he'd purchased from some old store back home, bright black and red with the image of a scantily-clad woman stitched together from old body parts wearing a stove pipe hat, looking like some female voodoo priestess. An amazonian Baron Samedi. The bandanna was Lach's last remaining possesion from home, apart from the tattered black cargo jeans he wore.

The boy's skin was heavily tanned, in stark contrast to the pale boy he's been scarce months ago. He couldn't remember the last time he'd bathed properly, save for quick dips in the shallows, bow at the ready.

The boy's chest was bare save for what looked like a reed breastplate, native american in design, with a circular piece of amber mounted in its center. Three large, bloody claw marks raked the boy's back, fresh and stinging from an encounter mere moments earlier. An encounter he'd barely escaped.

The boy wondered if he'd ever survive this place. If he'd ever find his was back home. The humidity alone here was killing him, never mind the wildlife.

Reaching up to his bandanna the boy flipped down what appeared to be a blue tinted monocle over his right eye, a red tinted monocle already over his left. He saw nothing. Always nothing. Just trees and swamps and insects.

"I just want to be away from here." The boy pleaded desperately. He'd been song long without human contact he given up on any fears he had of being found talking to himself. Lach just wanted to be away from this place. He wanted to be somewhere cool. Most of all, he just wanted a drink.
And it was with that desire that he finally saw it. Waves in the air, like a pebble dropped in a pond, rippling outwards through the air. Something he hadn't seen for nearly six months.

Lach's heart jumped to his throat. This is what he'd be waiting for, what he'd been trying to see all this time. Now he finally wanted it so bad that he'd actually found it!

Taking off at a run, Lach sprinted through the rippling portal, eager to be back home.

Lach sprinted right into the middle of the bar.

Dom jumps a little, nearly upsetting his recently refilled drink, when a newcomer seems to simply...appear...m id-run in the middle of the bar. For a moment this is as much as he can process, but then he notes that the stranger appears to be a human male. A half-naked human male.

<<Dominic...>> Reyliss murmurs warningly.

<<Oh, hush. He is young. Far too young for me,>> Dom says with an internal laugh. <<I am just glad to know that the dress code does not require shirts.>>

He grins and raises his glass in greeting to the stranger. "You do know there is a front door, yes?" he asks in a lightly accented voice.

Gene has to turn to spy the bare-chested young man who appears apparently out of thin air.

"Okay," he whispers, turning back to Terenia and his beer. "Now I know I'm drunk."

Lach is stunned as he comes to a sudden halt, bare feet skidding on the floor, taking in the bar he's abruptly entered. Around him he can he can see all manner of creatures. Human, centaur, even what looks like a monkey in a space suit.

"Great," Lach sighs, dejectedly, "I'm still in Galyanna."
Lach's hands move to his bow, focusing, as an ethereal blue arrow appears, notched and ready. The boy draws the bow back but keeps the bow lowered, cautious of his new surroundings. The wound on his back continues to weep, but Lach has long since learned to tune out the burning pain of such wounds, especially when facing unfamiliar surroundings and potential dangers.

Lach acknowledges the the man with the blue tipped hair and what sounds almost like a russian accent to the boy's unfamiliar ears. "I hadn't exactly been planning on being here." Lach replies.

Dom frowns, first at the weapon, then at the boy's back. "You are injured," he says, setting his glass on the counter and stepping forward. He holds up his hands, palms forward, to indicate that he means no harm. "My name is Dom," he says. "You need medical attention. Will you allow me to help?" His eyes dart down to the bow -- a primitive, but effective weapon. He carefully keeps his own hands far away from the Dracon Beam strapped to his side.

Terenia snorts. "You're not drunk," she says. "You're at the damn bar."

Lach falters for a moment, realisation dawning on him. He always was slow on the uptake.

People. He was talking to people. An actual human being!

Even better, he was real! Looking through his Hawking Site, the red lens over his left eye, Lach could see that the man wasn't an impersonator, he wasn't surrounded in any sort of holographic disguise!
Shock overcomes his caution, his hand moving away from the bowstring, the blue arrow and bowstring disappearing with a crackle and spark of static electricity. "S-sorry," he murmurs, "I'm not really used to... crowds much, lately."
The bow itself, whilst being a primitive weapon, is also fitted with a hunting scope in its' center, more for a set of crosshairs than a zoom. The bow also seems to be intricately carved from a dark, almost black wood that glints like metal under the light.

Lach looks over his shoulder at his back, the blood running into his pants. "I think I might be able to handle this..." Lach replies, feeling more confident in his concentration after finally having found another portal.

Lach reaches into a small leather satchel on the right side of his hip, big enough to carry a large laptop computer. The front of the pouch adorned with two triangles meeting at their tip in the shape of an hourglass.

C'mon, magical super healing cream! Lach thinks, brow furrowed in concentration, "Heck give me Wolverine's healing abilities, if you can, anything!" The boy mutters out loud to himself.

"Doubt it, though. You've always left me high and dry with nothing but leaves, vines and my old shirts to work with!" he continues, out loud.

The boys body, whilst toned and tan at first glance, shows scars in numerous places, some faint, others not so much, especially around his chest. For the most part, however, the worst of his scars are covered by his reed breastplates. The boy is more wiry than muscular, looking more agile than solid.

Apart from the bow, pants, bandanna, leather satchel, lenses and breastplate, the boy carries no other equipment with him.

Larry nods and says. "Very well my friend." Larry picks up the claw and very carfully scratches a wound into Jocuns head that begins at his hairline in the middle of his forhead straight down to the tip of his nose. There is a burning sensation as the claw scratches him, but it lasts only for a few seconds before fading away to nothing. The wound quickly heals and Jocun is now adorned with a Hero's Mark. It is 3/4 of an inch long and black in color. Larry smiles and says. "It is done my friend. You are now recognized as a Hero and though people may not recognize it outside of my land I am sure it will become the subject of many tales as well as enchant the ladies." Larry smirks at Jocun at this and laughs as he takes a huge gulp of mead.

"That wasn't so bad." Jocun said. "Looks like someone else poofed in from nowhere. Like a mix of primitive and advanced technology. There was a guy that came in worse than he was, due to an explosion. It nearly killed him, and sent him here somehow. He's more or less ok now, though."

Dom's eyebrows raise as he watches the boy speak to himself. "You look as though you could use a drink," he murmurs. He steps over to the bar and places a quick order in Galard. Several moments later he has a second drink in hand, and offers it to the boy. "That, I must say, was one of the most interesting methods of entering this place. Where exactly did you come from?" He raises his dark eyebrows, intrigued.

Lach withdraws his hand from the satchel, holding fishing line, a needle and an ointment that reads 'Corona: For Cuts, sores, chapping, scrapes and dry skin. Good for cattle, horses, dogs and cats.'

The boy shrugs, "Well, at least is gave me something besides a breastplate this time." Lach looks up to see the stranger holding a drink out for him and, without a second though or caution drops the items, grabs the drink and downs it, not even waiting to taste it. His throat is so parched that the liquid burns the back of his throat, but it's the best burn he could ask for.

Lach looks up at the stranger, eyebrow raised at his question, "I came from here, in Galyanna. I don't know what part this is though, I haven't seen another human in months." He nods towards the monkey astronaut and the blue centaur, "And I have no idea what planet or period they're supposed to be from. I haven't seen anything besides the 'soids since I came here."

"Sorry, I've never heard of Galyanna," Dom says, shrugging a little. His eyebrows raise as the boy inhales his drink, but he says nothing about it, instead sipping his own gingerly. "Do you have a name, or should I just continue to think of you as the half-naked man?" His grin is a little sly. "I assure you, I have no trouble in doing so, although my friend may protest." With a single finger, he taps his temple, indicating the Yeerk that lives there.
