At the sound of the door opening, Dom looks up from the bar. Al seems busy with the reptilian newcomer, and the bar has already managed to reassemble itself. He ****s his head curiously at the creature that enters the bar. <<A monkey?>> he wonders. <<Huh.>>

He orders another beer, but does not approach the newcomer. In truth, the person he is keeping an eye on is Rathien. He isn't sure if the alien entices him or scares him, but sensing Gene's discomfort he resolves to give the fanged man a wide berth.

Onysa slowly approached the bar, not entirely certain what to do. There really weren't such establishments in Central City, or in any of the outlying towns. The humans here looked so different, so...sure of themselves. A lot like her friend. No doubt he was in the clutches of Urko and Zaius by now. She wished there was something she could have done, but he insisted she leave or risk being arrested for heresy.

Onysa observed the process before cautiously speaking up. "I will have a...mango juice. If you please." And she produced a bit of what little currency she had on her.

Gene sits back against the hard wooden booth, regarding Terenia skeptically.

"Then why do you come here?" he asks quietly. He pauses, frowning. "I did come here for a reason, but ah...I usually don't spend this much time here." His gaze drifts toward the bar's raftered ceiling, which has, remarkably, started to repair itself after the reptilian creature's entrance.

Dom continues to watch the newcomer curiously. Definitely alien. And female, he would wager, which was two strikes against her as far as his usual advances were concerned. But the rest of the bar's occupants were preoccupied, so he sidles over to her just as the bartender delivers her drink.

"Hello there," he says with a confident grin. "You know, it's not safe to wander into a strange bar all by yourself."

Terenia shrugs her shoulders, not raising her eyes from the table. "Because sometimes anywhere is better than base, no matter how ****ty everywhere else is," she says dully.

Gene barks a laugh and nods. "Yeah, maybe that's why I'm so reluctant to leave," he murmurs, scanning the bar idly. His eyes widen. "Holy ****, Terenia. Would you look at that?" He keeps staring. "It's like one of those monkeys from Planet of the Apes. You know, the movie? Pinch me, I'm ****in' dreaming." He cranes his neck to survey the rest of the bar. "Is there a DeLorean parked out back, too?"

*At the edge of the forest the air began shimmering as if heated. Bright flashes of white light began emanating from the center of the shimmering air and then suddenly a portal made of blue and white light appeared. Through this portal walked out a man of great importance and stature, for in his homeland he was regarded as a Hero for vanquishing the Prime Evil Lords. This man had been at the Galaxy's Edge Space Bar before, but it had been some time and he wasn't sure if his companions had arrived safely.

As the man began walking towards the Bar a Raven flew out of the portal and landed upon his shoulder. The man grinned and petted his faithful friend. Sunlight reflected off the mans face and highlighted few unique facial scars that seemed to be purposely made and each had different characteristics. The first scar started above his right eye then traveled across and down his face to end below his left eye. This wound was maybe half an inch wide. The second scar started above his left eye and traveled across and down his face to end below his right eye. This scar was perhaps an inch wide. The third and final scar started at the center of his forehead beginning at his hairline and ended at the tip of his nose and was 3/4 of an inch wide.

Another characteristic the sun highlighted was his eyes, which were two different colors. The right eye was a sparkling sapphire and the left was a shimmering emerald. A three and a half foot wooden staff that is adorned by a fist sized ruby is hung from his shoulder by a thin strap of leather that crosses his chest. He wears a vest, pants and boots all made from thick black leather. The man opened the door to the Bar and looked around, searching for a particular man clad in Paladinian armor.

Jocun was glancing around the room in slight boredom, growing tired of his conversation with Rathien. He noticed a Human step into the bar, and didn't recognize him at first for the light that obscured his features. As he stepped in, Jocun saw it was Larry, with his pet crow. "Larry!" He said. He got up and walked over to give his friend a big hug. "I'm glad to see you again, buddy. It's been a while, though it's been even longer in your dimension where time travels faster. It's good to see your little buddy is doing well too. Drinks are on me."

Larry smiled and hugged his friend back causing Grun to take flight and land in the rafters where he could keep an eye on his Master. Larry said back. "It is good to see you too my friend. Myself and Grun are quite thirsty from our journey so let us drink and share our tales." With that said Larry starts to walk towards the bar with Jocun while saying loudly to the bartender. "Your largest mug of mead, please!"

"Well, the girls haven't come back yet. If thy left Sanctuary, they took their own paths apart from mine." Jocun said. "I actually met a group of people from either my past, or a different dimension where a war still goes on that my people are already past. It was interesting talking to them. There was a bit of violence between a couple of patrons recently, but things changed suddenly. I believe one of them forced the other into a more pleasant disposition somehow. They left the building seeming like they were going to kill each other, then returned amicably."

"So what about sanctuary? Constant parties now that Ba'al went down? Hopefully the peace lasts a while, though peace never lasts forever."

Larry wondered what had happened to Noah, but was not worried about Sami. "I know that Noah went through the portal, but since it was charmed to take her wherever she desired she may have returned to her people. As for Sami I believe that she has decided to remain in Sanctuary. Although there is much jubilation for Ba'als destruction, there is also much sorrw. When Ba'al corrupted the Worldstone he threatned the balnce of the world itself. Tyrael had no choice, but to destroy it." Larry gets a saddened look in his eye as the memory surfaces. "It pains me to tell you that the great Mount Arreat is now nothing, but a giant smoking crater. The barbarians have lost their ancient home and have been scattered across the lands. Thankfully the towns have all offered them refuge and together everyone is slowly healing the wounds and trying to get back to their normal lives."

The bartender slides a very tall mug of honey colored ale in front of Larry and Larry takes a long drink of it.

Jocun pays the bartender for the mead. "I'm sorry that happened. Culture and history are valuable things to many species. I'm glad they found new homes, and hopefully they can rebuild. How are you holding up from your imprisonment? You are strong of mind and body, but everyone has their limits. I just got a taste of the pain Ba'al could have done to me, and it nearly broke me."

Larry shudders as he remembers Ba'al controlling his mind, forcing him to battle Jocun, Noah and Sami. The only way Ba'als control was broken was with Sami's help. "Sami has been helping to heal the damage. Unfortunatly it was not the physical pain that was the worse, it was the feeling of despair and helplessness of wathing myself attack you three and not being able to do anything to stop it. Although speaking of Ba'al I have a gift for you from the people of Sanctuary." Larry takes a small hanful of soil out of his pocket and places it on the bar in front of Jocun. He then hovers his hand over the soil, closes his eyes and concentrates. The fist sized ruby on his staff slung over his shoulders begins to glow brightly, completly illuminating the entire bar and from the soil something wooden begins to grow.

Jocun didn't think he would ever stop marveling at magic. His universe was completely based around technology, and magic was thought of as something imaginary. Yet Sanctuary was full of magic, and Lary was accomplished in it. He watched the pile of dust and wooden object with interest. He wondered what this gift was, and how he would explain it to the crew on his ship. Surely if he said it was some mystical object, they'd laugh, or think he might need some psychiatric help after his time here.

The wooden object finishes growing and reveals it to be a chest with a lid closed tightly. Inside it is filled with all sorts of precious gems, such as rubies, sapphires, emeralds, diamonds and amethysts. "If you wish you have also been granted the honor of recieving the Hero's Mark if you so wish." Larry takes a claw from around his neck and lays it on the bar in front of him as he takes a swig of mead. One look is enough to recognize it belonged to Ba'al. Although the concept of the Hero's Mark was never explained so Larry does not realize that Jocun may have no clue what a Heros Mark is.

<I don't want it.> Simon said as he and Jocun recognized the claw they hadn't taken full notice of until now. Jocun cringed when Larry put it on the table. "I don't know what this hero mark is, but if it involves Ba'al's claw, I think I'll pass. I've had enough experiences with it already." He tried to sound as casual as he could, but the thing still disturbed him. The fight was a bad experience for Simon and Jocun both.

He took a few gems for closer inspection. "These are nice. I'm most grateful." He said. He wasn't sure what he'd do with it. Maybe trade it to a species who still valued such things, or maybe just put it in his room for decoration. Currency was very different in his time, and such stones wouldn't be worth a whole lot to a galaxy spanning empire.
