Claxter thought about excusing himself to talk to the other Yeerk about Efaen, since interrogating Myitt in front of Ossanlin would not be good. He excused himself, and walked out the door, but the controller had apparently been in a hurry and was already gone. <Probably wouldn't have worked anyway.> He said to himself. He stretched from standing in one spot for so long, and walked around to get a bit to eat. Knowing his luck, this was when they'd start talking candidly about Efaen.

Aya moves aside quickly when an Andalite barrels through the door and outside; her eyes quickly widen and then narrow.

<<Well that's an interesting start,>> she thinks, intrigued.

<<Stay away from the Andalites, Aya,>> Terliss responds tersely. <<I don't favor us losing any limbs.>>

<<Oh whatever. As long as you don't say anything any Andalite is sure to love us.>> Aya grins and lets the door swing open again, after only a brief glance at the bar itself, and follows the Andalite back out into the fresh air.

"Hey there, grass-eater. In a hurry?" she calls cheerfully, smiling widely.

<Bored, actually.> Claxter said. He assumed this person was a controller, since she called him grass eater. <You seem to be in a good mood. Happy to be away from where you were at before?>

"Anything is better than rock and metal walls. It's good to stretch my legs for once," she says, stepping toward him. She eyes his tail, but it doesn't seem to frighten her as she steps within range and holds out one hand. "I'm Aya. And I'm bored as well. Perhaps we should work together to eliminate our mutual boredom."

<I am Claxter.> He said. He eyed her hand for a few seconds before reaching out to shake it briefly. <I take it you're one of the rebels. Personally I have mixed feelings for your group. It's good that you oppose the Empire and involuntary infestation, but some of your people seem to make certain exceptions for that.>

<Have you ever been to the bar?>

"I've been in orbit above it a few times," Aya says, dropping her hand back to her side and hooking her thumb through the belt loop of her jeans. "Never bothered to make the trip down before, though. But we were bored, as I already said. Thought it might be time for a little excitement." She winks. "From what I hear a lot of interesting things happen around here."

She steps back and purses her lips, sizing him up. "Claxter, hm? Let's see...you're a warrior, aren't you? And I'd bet anything you serve that bigger Andalite I saw in the bar. No way you're the commander. Thought I saw Myitt in there too, which means the big Andalite is likely to be that Ossanlin dude." She grins eagerly. "Am I right? I like guessing games, and I'm pretty good at them."

<<You are showing off,>> Terliss murmurs.

<Your information is correct. Ossanlin is in there catching up with Myitt, since it seems a year passed outside the bar while days passed here. I don't suppose you're familiar with an Andalite named Efaen? You seem rather casual with our kind.>

"You're actually the first Andalite I've had the pleasure of formally meeting," Aya says with a wink. "Well, I suppose I know Tora. And yeah, Efaen. But that's different, and I've never spoken much to either of them. I like meeting new aliens though. It's entertaining. And...ah...informat ive."

Her smile is only a little mocking, but her face is open and friendly enough.

~Ossanlin~

Ossanlin finishes his bowl of fermented grass beverage...klenek was the word his own people used for it, though it could mean any kind of drink fermented from grass.  He watches Mar and Myitt in turn, both of them sitting silent as the grave.  He glances around the rest of the bar to make sure there wasn't some sort of time anomaly he wasn't detecting.  With his senses, that sort of thing would stand out like a glaring red sore on the fabric of space-time, but everything else seems to be moving at the normal pace.

He watches Claxter as he trots out the door, presumably for some food.  He glances over at his other charge, Serid, to make sure the nothlit wasn't in any difficulty.  He would be an interesting project.  Ossanlin had determined what some of the basic Andalite-identity genetic markers looked like to him with his senses...not from observing Terenia though.  Looking at Efaen in human morph, though a side-effect of what he had been doing for Terenia, had given him a much better idea of what Andalite genetic identity would look like, even suppressed.  Perhaps he would be able to revert Serid a great deal more easily than he'd originally thought, though the little short-cut he'd discovered would be all but useless if Serid had ever acquired any other Andalites.

He waits patiently for Mar to respond, or for Myitt to explain more of what had happened outside the bar, though he paws the floor a bit...practiced patience was, after all, still imperfect.

~Rathien~

Rathien mumbles to himself in his sleep as the computer produces a tone, waking him.  He glances at the display next to the bed.  The cleansing cycle had accomplished all the good it could.  The remaining traces of residual radiation would merely have to leech out of his body naturally.  Thankfully it would only take a few hours, but if he had to use his camouflage before then, any radiation still within his body would become permanent, and that was unacceptable.

He shakes his head as he stands, stretching and arching his toned back, admiring his own form in the reflective wall-surface of the med-bay.  Still as striking as ever.  He grins to himself, running his tongue over a fang again.  If ever he encountered another being that looked like himself, he would definitely try to get him to play around...or her.  "Nerin de'morinde sen ferir lonillae." He mutters to his reflection, still grinning.  He turns and begins dressing himself.  The phrase had always held special meaning to him...it encompassed the entirety of his existence, more or less.  It always sounded better in his ancestral tongue...most things did.  Roughly translated, the phrase meant "Do what you want and pay the price."  It simply did not roll of the tongue or sound as meaningful in Basic, but then most things sounded like crude animal noises in that tongue.  Galard was even worse.

He finishes with his tunic and armor, strapping the knives back onto his back and buckling his Entroper holster into place again.  He leaves his rifle in its locker again as he opens the hatch and descends from his ship, sealing it again, leaving its camouflage active as he makes his way back toward the bar.  He feels slightly naked with the usage of his personal energy field modifier denied him.  No camouflage, no emergency shielding...nothing .  But then that increased the danger, and that gives him a thrill.  To brace such a worthy foe as Tobias without what many in his line of work would consider essential gear...he shivers in anticipation.  Perhaps he should ask Tobias to be a bit more frank about his offer...though he is certainly loathe to allow the mark to modify him in any way.

He makes it to the bar and glances around, a few patrons outside.  One of the Andalites and some new human that he takes to be a controller.  She's actually a bit cute, so he flashes her a wide, fangy grin before entering the bar.  His eyes scan the room quickly, marking out those he'd seen before, and most-importantly...Tobias.

~Raile~

Raile sits in the calm of the meadow for a time, meditating, relaxing.  He'd not felt so at peace since the last time he'd performed exercises with his Master.  His mind feels serene.  Perhaps he had never actually felt this purity and calm before.  He lets his mind roam over the bar...there is still tension there, but he feels that he can rise above it now...see it objectively.  He senses Garreth, like a bright beacon of light, but he can also feel the other to some degree.  He can not exchange conscious information as he'd been able to do with his old Master, but he can certainly feel in which direction Garreth lay, and can detect nebulous concepts emanating from the other, like emotions.

He nods to himself and allows his mind to return to his body, rising to his feet.  He proceeds in the direction of Garreth and the bar.

<Well there are plenty of types of creatures around here. We get all kinds, or various ranges of powers. Usually reasonable, but not always. There's actually a controller from a future where the Empire won. According to him, the rebels made a dramaticlly positive effect on them. while the Yeerks winning isn't ideal from a non Yeerk perspective in most cases, at least it isn't as bad as it could be.>

Parker notices Chris leaving; hopefully it won't be for good. He was a decent fellow. Claxter follows, no doubt hoping to extract any information denied to him by Myitt. A young female Human partly enters and leaves after Claxter. A Human seeking out an Andalite must be from an organization similar to Corliss & Myitt's rebellion. That also means she is more than likely a controller. After she leaves, the man that had assaulted Salem earlier walks into the bar. Parker's face hardens, he speaks to Ewa briefly saying, "Excuse me," and he replaces his helmet upon his head. He quickly stands up, withdraws his shotgun, and points it at the assailant. He calls out, "What is your business here, Assassin?"

"Really?" Aya's eyes light up. "Now that's interesting. I wonder whether it's my own version of the future or someone elses. Kes always said that there were multiple realities around here." She shrugs. "Right now, though, I'm interested in talking to a real live Andalite. One that hasn't decided they're better off being human or whatever." She watches him with sharp eyes. "What's it like being a minion of the Andalite military, hm?"

<It's very strict. Very high priority on honor. We are better than everyone at everything, and any information indicating otherwise is either a lie, or a misunderstanding.> He said in a joking tone of voice. <But I'm sure you know, because we spend so much time telling other species. Also each other. Truthfully stopping the Yeerks is less about saving the galaxy than just cleaning up the mess we made. Though I'd be in real trouble if I let most superiors know I had those kind of thoughts. It's actually illegal to talk much about ourselves, not the least to a Yeerk. We are individuals, though.>

<why would any Andalite want to be Human more than Andalite? Humans are in serious need of tails for balancing, natural weapons, and the ability to look behind them without having to rotate their heads.>

Jocun noticed Parker jump up and point his rifle at a guy that had just come in. was that the invisible enemy? Why would be show himself, uncloaked? Should he do something, or just hang back and see what happened? He pulled out his communicator, and took and image of the assassin. "Well unless Parker is wrong, now I know what the guy looks like."

Aya laughs. "Well, I've never really fancied myself with a tail before, and I think I can balance just fine, but a natural weapon would be nice. Those tails of yours are fun stuff. All I get is a lousy Dracon." She indicates the weapon at her belt. "Though I can't deny that it's effective."

She raises her eyebrows. "So. You're a friend of Efaen's. I didn't think she had any friends. From what I heard she was a bit of a ****. Not that I ever got the chance to talk to her. Watched her, though. Saw her around a base a few times." She shrugs.

<No, she doesn't have many friends. females of my species aren't given as many rights and priviledges as males, and some of them resent it. She had to fight much harder than any male to become a Warrior, and all that got blown away when she was involuntarily infested and kidnapped by terenia, who is practically an Imperial in ideals if not loyalties. Efaen was unhappy with the decision to go to the rebels, as well as the choice of going to the Andalites. I'm not sure why if she was going to be unhappy either way, did she choose to live amongst the people she actively hates. I can't say how much of a friend she considers me. I rescued her, and have feelings for her, but she's rather closed off.>

<She is not a ****. Merely broken and in need of help. I'm just...not sure how to help her. Maybe that's how Corliss sees Terenia. Though obviously helping Efaen doesn't go contrary to the ideals I'm supposed to espouse, which makes me better. That is what I believe, anyway.>
