As the group made their way to the shipyard, Simon exited the bar and followed by going from cover to cover. at least, what cover he could find. He wondered what he would say if one or more of them wound up being rebels. Yeah, I was just stalking you guys so I could maybe have a friendly chat. That's not creepy or anything, is it? From a host's perspective, it was important that things go the rebel's way. This assumed the Yeerks would actually win.

~Raile~

Raile keeps the mask of serenity on his face, but his feelings drop as his comrade speaks.  Another time?  The Mandalorians?  What's worse, Raile feels nothing disturbed within this man's mind.  He believes everything he is saying.  What was this?

"I'm afraid I...don't understand.  Another time?  It is 3636 after the Treaty of Coruscant...the Mandalorians have not been a true threat for nearly four thousand years...the Clones...make up the Grand Army of the Republic."  He pauses...perhaps this Jedi had truly been beyond the outer rim for quite some time.  "You truly know nothing of the war, or of the Separatists and their droid armies?  Did you not feel the tremors in the Force as our brothers were betrayed and murdered?"

Garreth shook his head and said, "It hasn't happened yet for me. You come from a Time 4,000 years after an event that has yet to happen. There is no Treaty of Coruscant, no Separatists, no Clone Army; not during my Time. This establishment in which we now sit is apparently located within some Space/Time anomaly. I met a woman under the control of a sapient parasite, and she had never heard of the Hutts."

~Raile~

Raile checks himself again...he had spoken in a manner that might be construed as rude.  "Forgive me Master Rob, I spoke in haste."  He reaches out with the Force...he stretches through and around the planetoid, and feels a strange twisting.  An odd feeling for a place, there was certainly something off about it.  Perhaps this Jedi was telling the truth.

"The Treaty happened after the successful Sith offensive that sacked Coruscant.  The Republic was all but forced to accept their demands...it was a dark time."  He pauses a moment in thought.  If this place truly did intersect multiple times...perhaps he could change the course...but he dismisses the thought before it has a chance to fully resolve.  Attempting to alter the flow of time...that sounded like a Dark Side goal.

"Now that you have brought my attention to this place, it does seem odd...twisted in some fashion.  I am slightly disturbed by the fact that I did not discern the phenomenon beforehand."  He closes his eyes a moment.  "Dantooine...you said it was your home?  Master Windu defeated the Separatists there and it has remained largely unaffected since.  That was one of the reasons I chose to hide there, but I should've foreseen that a planet so relatively peaceful and one with a history of Jedi sanctuary would be one of the first locations for bounty hunters to search.  A beautiful world."  Raile falls silent, his thoughts on the possibility that he might never see that world or his own Corellia ever again...and on what he had been forced to do on Dantooine in order to survive.  He wasn't yet sure of this Jedi, yet his words and thoughts felt open and truthful.  "If you are truly as you say, from a period well into my past, this is surely a unique phenomenon.  May I ask why you came so far outside the Outer Rim?"

<<It's all right,>> Corliss replies with a sigh.  <<I suppose we'll just have to wait and see if Mike responds, although I am loath to keep Ossanlin waiting long.>>

"Computer, open exterior hatch," Mike calls, using the familiar Yeerkish phrase.  "Extend ramp."  The computer obeys, the hatchway melting away into the black living metal hull.  With a hydraulic whir the ramp slides out of the threshold and touches the gravel lightly.  The Skimmer's four plexi viewports glare at the little band like crimson eyes, set in the head of a ship fashioned after some bizarre mix of lobster and mosquito larva.  Its leglike landing gears perch the Skimmer into a brooding crouch.

Mike looks back at the band, nodding approval at Ossanlin's and Efaen's presence.  He whistles lowly.  "Bloody hell, it's a party."

~Ossanlin~

Ossanlin watches Mike as well as the Skimmer as he opens the ship and then nods in their direction.  He turns his main eyes on Efaen, sending her a private thought.  <<Please assume Terenia's morph.  It would be safer to do it now before boarding.  If you wish for some privacy, I understand.>>  He glances toward a few hulking shapes of old ships that would provide just that if Efaen should desire it.

Simon saw they made it to a particular ship. It had a Yeerk design to it, so it must be a rebel ship. Serid was obviously holding out on him, though he couldn't blame the guy. There were Andalites there, and he ducked behind a ship just as he thought one may have spotted him.

<I will not be entering the ship for this "party".> Claxter said. <I'm sure it will be crowded enough as it is.> He thought he caught someone looking at them. <Um, is there any reason you might be followed?> He asked. He didn't see the guy again, and considered investigating. Not that he had to. He wasn't on guard duty or anything.

<<Are you sure the two of you will be safe in there, Prince Ossanlin? This procedure could be exhausting for the both of you.>>

<<Yes, my Prince,>> Efaen responds privately. <<I require no privacy, but I will step away so that I do not alarm anyone.>>

She pulls back from the growing crowd, into the shadow of the Skimmer. It takes her a moment to concentrate on the morph; it is one she particularly loathes. But the changes begin and to anyone watching her natural estreen nature makes the process look more interesting and fluid than grotesque, as is usually the case with morphing. At the last minute, Efaen remembers to include the morphing outfit that Terenia found long ago, a black leotard that Efaen herself thinks is incredibly frivolous.

The process itself takes only about a minute and a half, and she emerges from the shadows with the physical appearance of a seventeen-year-old human female with long blonde hair and flat gray eyes that, at the moment, are wary.

<The process is complete,> Efaen states unnecessarily, continuing to use thought-speak rather than deal with the unnecessary burden of a mouth.

~Ossanlin~

Ossanlin nods both to Claxter and Efaen, keeping his thoughts to those two and Serid only.  <Claxter, if anything goes wrong I think it would be best if you stayed just outside the Skimmer.  I don't suspect Mike or Corliss of foul play, but my expectations have proven wrong in the past.  If there are any ship defenses activated, you will remain unaffected and may act accordingly.>

He moves toward the ramp.  <Please follow me Efaen, Serid.>  He begins to mount the ramp behind Mike.

Mike leads the band inside, holding up a hand at the top of the ramp.

"Hold on, this thing is going to be a bit cramped with all of us in," he says, looking between Ossanlin, Efaen and Illim.  "Just be careful once we're in the pool room, it's quite small."

He calls the lights on and makes a bee-line towards the door to the pool room, unsealing it.  "Ossanlin, if you don't mind I'm going to hook up with Corliss before we make any decisions about medical equipment."  He heads into the warm, humid pool room, and it takes a few moments for his eyes to adjust to the dim light while he checks the pool parameters.

Mike had ignored Claxter and went inside, so he didn't know what would make someone want to follow him. He continued scanning the area to see if he could spot the Human, but didn't. He didn't want to leave his post unless Mike closed the hatch.

<Of course,>  He nods to Mike.  <Just as I'm sure you and Corliss won't mind if we leave the exterior hatch open and all of your ship's intruder defenses unarmed.>  His thought is wide enough to be heard throughout the ship.

Efaen ascends the Skimmer's ramp alongside Ossanlin, choosing to stand off to the side once on board. She keeps her back to the wall, eliminating the constant desire to look behind her and accomodate for the lack of stalk eyes. Clasping her hands behind her back she awaits further orders from Ossanlin, refusing to address Mike directly.

<That's Ossanlin,> Terenia says to Corliss unnecessarily, her thought-speak voice thick with anxiety.

Garreth nodded his head in response to Raile's apology, "It is understandable considering what you have experienced, Master Merced." It felt so odd being called "Master" by another Jedi. Sure a few civilians would call him that, but they couldn't really tell he was only a padawan at the time. He didn't let being called Master go to his head, as that would cloud his judgement and that could lead him towards the Dark Side. He continues, "Remember to be mindful of your emotions. If left unchecked, it can breed resentment and anger. We both know to what path that leads."

He lets the Knight alone as he feels for his environment. After he explains the Treaty of Coruscant, Garreth gives a moment to mourn for the future loss. As it is likely after his lifetime, there is no need to dwell on the defeat. The only war he need be focused on is The Mandalorian War currently waging in his own Time. "It is regrettable that such a thing may come to pass. I must ask you not to reveal to me anymore details of such events. Dealing with crossing Timelines can be very volatile. I'm certain vague tellings will do no harm, however too much information could prove dangerous."

After Raile mentions Dantooine being a beautiful planet, Garreth nods in agreement. When asked what had brought him beyond the rim, he replies, "I was actually heading toward Coruscant. My Hyperspace travel was interrupted by a Mandalorian Interdiction Field. Something must have gone wrong with the Nav computer, because I ended up here instead of over Serroco. I was on my way to inform the council about our Jedi comrades being captured by the Mandalorians. It very well be what we need to finally enter this war." He keeps his tone even and his emotions level as he speaks

Mike opens his mouth to answer, still standing at the pool room's holoscreen, when Corliss' synthesized voice rings through the cabin and the pool room alike.

"Yes, the ship's intruder defenses have been temporarily disabled," he says.  "Welcome aboard, Ossanlin.  Is the Andalite girl with you?"

"Hang on, you can find out for yourself.  Illim's here, too," Mike calls, stepping away from the holoscreen and over to the metal edge of the raised pool.  "Reckon you'll figure that out in half a moment, anyway," he mutters, leaning over the edge of the pool and gently touching his ear to the warm gray liquid.

Corliss disengages from the pool computer system.  <<I suppose that's my cue,>> he says, a bit nervously, scrunch-thrusting away from the edge of the pool and towards Mike's familiar scent.

Mike winces as his Yeerk friend starts to slither back into his head.
