At the sound of footsteps, Jasper turned. Except, it wasn't the man they'd met originally; it was a woman. "Hello, miss?" She kept walking. "Excuse me ma'am." She didn't even turn to look or slow down, but continued right through the door, letting it swing shut behind her. <<What just happened here?>> Sapttus asked Jasper, who returned his utter confusion. <<I'm not sure. I think we just got dissed.>> <<Well that's kinda obvious, don'tcha think?!?>> <<Chill dude, it's fine.>> During the short second the door had been opened, they had seen past it into the room behind. It was a bar. And it was full of people. All kinds of thoughts floated from one mind to the other. What are the chances? How are they all here? Is this like an Earth colony? What kind of foods did they have hear? Was it possible that..... No way. Slowly, Jasper opened the door and stepped through, shutting it behind him. He briskly walked over to the bar with purpose, took a seat next to the lady who'd brushed past him and a friend of hers, and called to the bartender. "Hey, you got a second?"

The bartender approaches Jasper/Sapttus with a blank expression. Planting himself opposite the newcomer he stares expectantly.

<<What?>> Terenia yelps in response to Mike. The idea of Corliss being inside her head, having free reign over her thoughts, makes her flush. <<Absolutely not.>>

"So you just want me to...talk to her?" Terenia asks Corliss, turning back to the task at hand. The idea seems utterly absurd, considering all of her plans involved a Dracon. "Ah...well...okay. I guess I can give it a shot." Mike's expression settles into a soft smile, directed at the pool. "I'm sorry for stealing your host, Corliss. I'll get Mike back to you. I'm not to fond of being a guy, truth be told."

Trey looks up from his barely touched drink as the windows of the bar rattle yet again. Through the grimy windows he can make out a bright flash of something hurtling by before everything grows still once more.

"What was that?" He asks, looking to Elayne with a concerned expression.

Now that Theta/Gremyyt had fallen unconscious, claxter could approach safely. He restrained his prisoner, though he wondered if those nanobots were capable of eating through restraints. Claxter would have to continuously monitor him. Now that he was out of the hyperstor gun, Claxter felt there was no reason to leave his ship intact.

He lifted off, and set out of destroy any remnant of Alvie technology from the area, hoping it would further isolate Gremytt from Alvie. He used his main gun on the ship, also looking around for any more drones. After that he hoped that between him and Efaen, they should be able to keep close watch over the prisoner and keep him from escaping.

Temrash got the Yeerk switched from one Taxxon to the other, so Iosse was a controller again. He also fed all three Taxxons with some special food designed to make Taxxons feel more full.

<Just please, be careful, Terenia,> says Corliss.  <Mike, you too.  I expect you both to come back here in one piece.  It's bad enough I've got to sit here and wait for you, so please hurry.  And you've probably got that Dracon with you, I'd appreciate it if you didn't use it unless you had to.>

<<God, he sounds like my mum,>> Mike sighs.

<A nothlit?> Efaen repeats, her thoughts wavering as she takes in this new information. On one hand it indicates that Serid is likely of a military background; on the other hand, Efaen views nothlits as practically a form of vecol: handicapped creatures that are to be pitied, but avoided. An opinion that has only been reinforced by Terenia's multiple nothlitisms and resulting lack of stability.

Regardless of her qualms, she does straighten her back slightly, tail arched in a dignified fashion. If he is - or was - military, then who is to say what his connections may be?

<I am certain that your current circumstances, while pitiable, were brought about with honor,> she says, almost sounding hopeful. <You are not familiar to me; I take it that you did not arrive on Prince Ossanlin's vessel?>

"Yeah," Terenia says grimly, patting the Dracon at her side. "We will be. See you in a bit."

<<Ready?>> she asks Mike, turning away from the pool and propelling his body towards the hatch. She takes care to order the ship to forbid re-entry to anyone but Mike and descends the ramp.

<<This has been one hell of a day,>> she comments blithely, pausing to make sure that the hatch closes behind her and the proper security systems are activated.

Serid chooses not to remark upon Efaen's comment and responds, instead, to the second. "My arrival here was through a considerably more circuitous route than that, unfortunately, but I do hope to leave with Prince Ossanlin in time."

He folds his hands tidily behind his back, looking almost like a soldier standing at attention. "And may I ask how you came to be on this planetoid, Warrior?"

The emphasis Efaen places on honor take him by a bit of surprise. Of course, it is a matter of utmost importance to himself, but it has been so long since he has heard of anyone else speak of it. It seems that the years spent with easy-going Illim have weakened his memory of the strength of Andalite moral codes.

<I too have arrived via...circuitous means,> Efaen says with only a slight hesitation. <Although I intend on departing the planet with Prince Ossanlin.>

She has not yet given much thought as to how she will address her five year absence from the military, if and when it inevitably is called into question. At the moment, however, she has no reason to confide in the nothlit. She does not want her years of slavery to be interpreted as dishonorable and decides that, for now at least, it is better left unsaid.

<<As I'll ever be,>> Mike says, and his thoughts flicker from worrying about Corliss to worrying about just how Efaen will react to their proposal.  <<Longest ****ing day of my life, I think, and it's not over yet.>>

As they walk, he wonders what's going on beyond the barrier of Terenia's mind.  He can sense her own anxiety, but little else.

<<What will you do, if she says yes?  Do you really think she'd even consider the whole idea?>>

"May I walk with you, Warrior?" Serid asks, continuing to approach. "I thank you for responding to my friend's alert; your assistance would have been welcomed in the event of an emergency."

The Bar building now back in sight, Illim straightens his path and makes a beeline for the door. He's not entirely sure what he'll do once inside, but being there has to be better than waiting on Corliss in the gravel lot. Upon reaching the building, he opens the door and steps inside.

<<No,>> Terenia says honestly, turning her back on the Skimmer and traipsing off towards the bar in hopes of finding Efaen there. <<The only way she'll agree to this is if she thinks it is her best opportunity to destroy the Empire. She knows the risks of returning to the Andalites. I don't care what Ossanlin promises, the odds of her not being shipped back to the homeworld are slim to none. Even if she does stay in space, there's no way she'll see battle. There's too much working against her. She knows that.>>

Terenia heaves an outward sigh as she walks around a long abandoned Bug Fighter and the bar comes into view.

<<The problem is that she doesn't think the rebellion has anything better to offer. Running away from the Andalites to join a Yeerk resistance group hardly seems 'honorable', you know? But I have to convince her that it is.>>

She places a hand flat on the door to the bar, pushing it open and standing at the threshold, squinting through the gloom for a sign of Efaen.

<<Is this place more crowded, or is it just me?>>

<Please,> Efaen says, setting off at a slow walk that a human could keep pace with easily. <You are welcome, of course, though it seems I was quite unnecessary,> The slightest trace of bitterness seeps into her tone, but she hides it quickly by changing the topic. <Have you had an opportunity to speak with Prince Ossanlin as of yet?>

Ossanlin nods as he follows Mar.  <Clearly your perception of reality and time is more advanced than my own.  I admit to being somewhat curious about your relationship with Myitt.  She seems to loathe your presence and yet you seem to enjoy being around her.  Should you remember and care to share, I would be interested in your own meeting with her.>

As Ossanlin walks and talks, in addition to thinking about Okaru and Mar's relationship with Myitt, a new theory begins to percolate regarding his abilities.  He doesn't voice his thoughts as he waits for Mar's response, continuing toward the bar.

As he felt the welcomed touch of his new Master, the Taxxon resumed his customary role as silent observer, content with the provision of the gracious Yeerks, the only ones who could take away the fear.

Jasper leans in toward the bartender, hoping to make his request in private. Sapttus asks: "What kind of stuff have you got here?" To which, the Bartender maintains his blank stare. <<Um... maybe he's a mute?>> "Okay, um... Well, let me just spit it out and ask. Got any oatmeal? More specifically, Instant Maple and Ginger?" <<Now don't get your hopes up, dude. Just remember, we didn't come unprepared.>><<I know, I know, but you can't blame me for hoping, can you? It just isn't the same if you don't make it right. And we don't exactly have a stovetop back on the Bug Fighter...>>

The Bartender walks away without a word, leaving Sapttus and Jasper anxious.

Illim thinks he sees the man who had approached him in the ship yard, but it is difficult to tell in this dim light. Before he can approach him, the door opens behind him, and he turns his head to see Mike standing only a few feet away. "Well hello again," he smirks, rotating his whole body towards him and leaning against the Bar wall casually. "So who are you this time?"

"I did," Serid answers, moving to walk beside her, his hands loose at his sides, although the Dracon is not far from his right hand, "however briefly. It is my belief that he is sympathetic with my situation and is open to further discussion in the near future. And what of you? Has he been similarly magnanimous?"

Terenia curls Mike's mouth into a grimace when not only is Efaen nowhere to be seen, but she is immediately approached by Illim.

"Still Terenia," he says, looking past him and deeper into the bar for sign of an Andalite. After a moment of failure she sighs and turns her full attention to Illim. "Say, you haven't seen my host wandering around anywhere, have you? My usual host, I mean. She's kind of hard to miss. Big, blue, wicked tail and nasty attitude?"

<Indeed he has,> Efaen says, treading lightly over the gravel. <I expressed a desire to maintain an active combat position, which he seemed amenable to.> She pauses, wondering if this Andalite will more readily share her concerns over the captain than Claxter.

<He does, however, concern me in some of his policies. I know it is not for a warrior to question her commander, but my grievances were initiated prior to my enlistment under his office.>

<I think I heard someone say oatmeal. I like oatmeal.> Derrel said, starting to feel hungry again upon hearing the name of a food he liked.

"If everything is set, you can all hang around this ship. I'll contact you if any ships need repairing." Temrash said, and the repair crew saluted. He left for the bar again, returning to within eyesight of Morgan. He noticed Illim was there, as well as Mike, and wondered which one was inhabiting Mike right now. He didn't ask, and figured just watching him for a minute would answer the question.

Claxter fired on the ship until the scanners showed it was all wrecked. Just one big molten mass. After that he flew the ship back and gave the ship a command to monitor Theta. The room would be on lockdown, and the ship would alert Claxter if he started trying to move around. He then left the ship to walk in the direction Efaen went.

<Ah, there you are.> He said when he found her. <The Andalite cyborg has been released from the hyperstore, and is currently restrained in the ship. I've found out the Andalite body's name is Gremyyt, and I think he's starting to get his individuality bac. Unfortunately I don't know if he can fight it off on his own and don't have a concrete plan of action.>
