Zorish glances at Eshen with slight interest, noting her flickering expression, but saying nothing about it. He chooses instead to answer Al.

"Tamora's dead sister being alive poses more problems than reasons for celebration, android," he says, not entirely kindly. "Perhaps your programming does not allow you to see the severity of certain situations, but let me assure you that there is nothing 'fun' about what is happening here."

Efaen glances at her Prince in mild surprise. A part of her had hoped that Ossanlin would take over the negotiations rather than relinquish them to her. Straightening her back she steps forward slightly, addressing the human-Controller on screen. It is a fight for her to keep the sneer from her tone.

<I too apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused,> she begins stiffly. <As I mentioned previously, I am requesting permission to join your ranks. My Prince insists, however, that should such an arrangement be made he have the authority to pull me out and communicate with me at any time.> She glances at Ossanlin with her stalk eyes. <I will remain an operative of the Andalite military; however, while I serve within the rebellion I will, of course, follow your command.>

She hesitates, then adds in private thought-speak directed only at Reven. <<I do not entirely trust my Prince, Yeerk,>> she admits. <<My purpose here is to assist in destroying the Empire in any way possible. I truly believe that I can be most efficient through the rebellion. If you do not agree to my Prince's terms it is entirely likely that I will be condemned to wait out this war on the Homeworld. I->> she pauses, gathering up her strength, <<-beg you to give him the assurances he requires, regardless of how well they can be carried out. I cannot sit idly by while the Empire runs loose in the galaxy.>>

Terenia watches the exchange silently, still trying to calm her nerves from pretending to be Corliss in front of the Yeerk leader.

"Such as what?" Serid asks Jocun, eyebrows knitting together in a frown. "Soon I may be in touch with a member of the rebellion; I could carry a message to them for you, if you would allow me." Recalling Myitt, he adds, "They do not allow many to communicate with them, choosing rather to remain guarded and safe, so I may be your best chance here."

<<I guess because he's not an innergalactic taxi service,>> Illim smirks to Derrel. <<I dunno, I'm with you: I'd rather not ride to our new abode with a tailblade in the back, but que sera sera, I guess.>>

Al noticed the change on Eshen's face... she seemed to be having a hard time of something. She seemed to be doing a great job of hiding it, though. He'd have to keep an eye on her. He nodded, "I shouldn't be gone long, I hope, so I should be able to get right back to conversing with you squishies." He winked, "Squishy though you may be, you tend to be pretty good company."

He laughed in response to Zorish's comment, "Yeah, that may be. Then again, maybe it's your programming that's keeping you from being more positive about it. In either case, I'll stop pestering you about it."

He nodded to the table and stood up, "Excuse me for a bit, guys."

He turned and followed Claxter and Jade out the door. Claxter pointed out his own ship, and Al nodded. "Back in a flash," he said, and set out at a jog for Salem's ship.

"I don't know if I'm in my own past, or in another dimension. If it's the former, I don't really have anything to worry about. If it's the latter, I'd like to ensure that things go well. I suppose I could set up a supply route to the bar. A member of the rebellion could come to pick up whatever they need, and take it wherever it's needed. Food, medical supplies, kandrona generators, and more." Jocun said.

Reven takes all of this in with a thoughtful hand to his mouth, frowning at the conflicting private and public exchanges.

"If I allow you to live among us, Efaen, you understand that you cannot have any outside contact with your people, Ossanlin aside, for the duration of the war?" he says finally.  The words feel as though they carry a great weight with them; the rebel leader is loath to admit an unknown Andalite into the midst of a society that has hardly been treated kindly by the Andalite Electorate in general.

After Al left, Eshen raised an eyebrow at Zorish.  "I seem to have interrupted something," she said softly.

Of course she did.  Constant mistakes, Sydney.  You have been enslaved by a pathetic creature.  Making you even more pathetic than her.

Ignoring Eternity and Sydney's whimper of fear, Eshen resumed her finger tapping on the table.  It helped her keep her composure, moving, doing something.  Anything to let her not focus on the fear.  That was what she hated most.  Paranoia.

Of course, Sydney being a paranoid schizophrenic...tha t wasn't really unexpected.

Zorish watches Al go before turning to Eshen. "No interruption," he says. He notices that Tamora is becoming slightly lightheaded as he does so. Shouldn't have drank so quickly, he chastises himself. The stress of dealing with all of the occupants of the bar led to him drinking more than he was accustomed to.

"So, Eshen," he says, a taut smile spreading across Tamora's features. He tosses some of her long blonde hair behind a shoulder. "Where are you stationed?"

He carefully keeps an eye on Keshin, not trusting the turelek.

<Yes,> Efaen says, bobbing her stalks. She can feel her stomach twisting at the idea, but she has already been out of contact with her kind for five years. A few more, for the sake of the war, was a necessary sacrifice. <I understand.>

"Ossanlin, how quickly can Efaen be placed into our service, so that my people may return to base?" Reven asks tersely.  While he waits for an answer he looks over the other people in the room, his gaze passing briefly over Illim and Derrel.

~Ossanlin~

Ossanlin keeps his arms crossed in front of his chest, but smiles a bit at the viewscreen.  The whole situation was...tense, there was no need to be unfriendly to Reven, they'd worked together before and the last thing he wants is bad blood with the Rebel leader.  <Should the terms be met to my satisfaction, I see no reason why Efaen cannot depart as soon as we finish Terenia's procedure...I do need her presence for that.  Of course Terenia must also be present, so Efaen would not be a source of delay.  At any rate, these terms will make her placement amongst you all acceptable with my superiors, and will supply me with some piece of mind as well.>

He takes a breath and steps forward a bit.  <Efaen did convey the gist of the terms that must be met, but I shall clarify.  First and foremost, she will remain an active member of the Andalite military.  She will remain ultimately under my command as an agent dispatched to your service.  Of course I will only issue a command if I deem it to be absolutely necessary, leaving discretion to you and your lieutenants.  This means, however, that I will have the ability to withdraw Efaen at any time for any reason.>  He pauses a moment to let the information sink in, and then continues.  <Secondly, Efaen must be allowed to contact me at any time without hindrance and vice versa, except during extreme circumstances, such as in te event that she is currently deployed on a sensitive mission.  She will be required...>  Ossanlin glances meaningfully at Efaen with his main eyes before returning them to Reven.  <...to contact me at an interval no less than two standard weeks after our most recent live transmission...reco rdings will not count.  If a mission will demand communications silence from her for longer than two standard weeks, I will need to be informed of the complete details of said mission AND give my approval before she can be deployed on said mission.  Those are the terms of her sanctioned deployment.  You must understand, though Efaen will be working for you and essentially under your command, she will still be my responsiblity.>

He waits a few seconds before sending another private speech to Reven.  <<I apologize and in no way distrust you old friend, but I am well aware of the types of missions you run.  Efaen cannot fall into Imperial hands, a second abomination would be a huge blow to morale.  I will be responsible for her well-being whether she likes it or not...the terms protect not only Efaen, but yourselves and myself as well.  If something does happen to her while in your service, I find it unlikely that even my friend in the Electorate will be able to convince the rest to allow any more joint operations involving the rebellion but the terms should at least be enough to stave off a "rescue-attempt".  Be that as it may, I do not wish to lose the ability to work with you.>>

Ossanlin falls completely 'silent' and waits to hear Reven's ultimate decision.

"As long as we can agree that while Efaen is a member of our organization, any choices made under your command must not impede with the security of the rebellion," Reven says, crossing his arms, "then I believe we can come to an agreement, Ossanlin."  His features soften a little.  "My friend, I know you wouldn't lead us astray, but you must forgive my initial hesitancy."

He exhales, brushing a hand through his hair.  "Now, how long will this procedure with Terenia take?"

~Ossanlin~

Ossanlin nods.  <As long as the mandate for security does not supercede the Andalite military's restrictions I have just outlined, then I do believe it will work.>

He pauses a few moments, thinking over his response.  <The...procedure...i t is questionable.  It involves myself and certain...circumsta nces...that require me to be completely prepared.>  He doesn't know if Myitt has shared that particular portion of Ossanlin's existence with her brother or not, and he certainly doesn't trust the other Yeerk present, even though he had essentially been Serid's saviour, so he keeps the details to implications.  <It will take time for me to reach a state of total preparedness, but I hope to begin the process within the next twelve to twenty-four hours.  Once started, it should not take long to finish.>

Reven takes this in with a brisk nod.  "Good.  Thank you, Ossanlin, I trust that my new reports will arrive shortly.  Be careful over there, I don't know how my brothers can stand that place."

He gives "Corliss" a meaningful look as he scans the room again.  His eyes rest on Derrel and Illim.

"Who are you?" Reven asks testily.  "I assume Corliss trusts you, or you wouldn't be capable of listening in on a high priority communication."

Efaen lets out a slow exhale through her nose slits as the conversation shifts from her to Terenia. It seems as though she has been successful in convincing all parties that she belongs with the Yeerk Rebellion.

A member of the Yeerk Rebellion, she muses. I must be either brilliant or a complete and utter fool. The Empire will not stand a chance.

Terenia tries not to look overly interested when Reven and Ossanlin begin speaking about the procedure that will make her human again. She considers speaking up, but decides instead to avert her gaze, not wanting to make the rebel leader suspicious.

<<I can't believe this is actually working,>> she says to Mike, genuinely shocked. <<This is the first thing to actually go right since I got to this dapsen rock.>>

She jumps slightly when Reven addresses Illim, but again says nothing, choosing to let him speak for himself. Her thoughts are still very much on Ossanlin.

<<Do you think it will actually work?>> she asks, some of her trepidation creeping into Mike's consciousness.

Derrel waits for Illim to respond as the big boss talks to him. He starts trying to think of things to say. what he should and shouldn't say about his own past and about the goings on at the bar. He wouldn't want to blabber on about unimportant stuff.

Vogefac stood as claxter returned. He had brought two other beings, a young woman and an android.

"We were having a conversation and she simply went unconscious. I am unsure as to why. I was going to diagnose her, but I have never been aboard an Andalite craft. I was...unsure as to which was medical equipment and which was some sort of weapon. So I sat and attempted to wait for her to regain consciousness. But, as you can plainly see, she has not."

Vogefac looked at the young woman and the android, "Greetings. I am Commodore Vogefac of the Imperial Reptilinod Mother Ship Zetylon, at your service."

Catie felt like she was smiling for ages. Ewa just seemed so personable.

"A Chivvian could use our equipment! It's just point and engage. I'm sure if you'd come with us, you could've helped. But that doesn't matter, don't worry.", she smiled...

She followed Ewa in and sat in the seat, "Well, it's not confirmed, but when we left the GSU was working on several projects, including the Perception Nullifier and the rumored new Transporter. Our transporter technology involved being transformed into a ball of energy and the energy is sent through z-space to the location specified. The main problem with that is energy can't make it through energy shielding. The person-energy would literally be scattered, absorbed, or transdimensionally removed...meaning they might be left a ball of invisible energy floating in another dimension - unreachable - for eternity. They wouldn't be conscious, thank god, but...their information, their energy would be left there forever."

Catie realized she was rambling, "Anyway, the new transporter is supposed to be a pure data transfer. The computer translates your body into a datastream, and it simply uses the data to reform your body where it's needed. So it's faster, and it can get through weaker shielding. The strange thing is...you'd die every time you were transported and then be reformed somewhere else.", Catie laughed nervously. Maybe she wasn't so anxious to try the new transporter...maybe that could be put off for a while.

"So, what about you? Where do you come from? What are you doing here?"
