I remember the Howlers being pretty formidable by themselves, I'm pretty sure they at the least had claws and super regeneration (which basically makes them uber-cats, which isn't bad for a battle morph.)  Also, the howl is a great "oh crap, I'm stuck by myself" contingency plan.  Still would go Howler.

Playing Pokemon has broadened my horizons LOL. A Garchomp would be an epic morph, it's like a shark on legs but it can fly as fast as a jet and has serious teeth. Mewtwo would rock as well. Psychic attacks on your enemies. THen there are dragons ones like Hydreigon(sp?) and Druddgion that are cool. Heck, even Infernape or Raichu would rock, because of the ability to throw fire or electricity at someone. And then there's Arceus, the creator of the Pokemon world in legend.

If Darth sees this, I wonder about his opinion. Or CloakedFigure.

I had this idea briefly where the Pokemon world was another planet somewhere...there'd be some eerie similiarites to Earth, but it could make a crossover possible, if stories got back and there was contact with humans and thus the TV series was born. That'd take care of the comments Rachel's sister made.

Excluding Time Matrix or alien morphs, I'd probably choose a big cat, a tiger or a lion.

I read about Cassowary. Well, it's a big and strong bird with sharp claws, and with a human intelligence it may be able to kill a human-controller  or even a taxxon (In Australia this bird has caused some victims). But Hork-Bajir? Cassowary, like Ostrich, has a long neck that could be seriously injured by a precise swipe with wrist blades.

It's the same for jackal and other medium or little animals. I think that to fight agains a hork-bajir, you need a very strong animal...at least 50 kilograms with teeth and claws, no weak points easily accessible, and decent speed and agility. Wolves are just on the borderline. And the bobcat (Timmy's battle morph) is too small to fight successfully against a hork-bajir.

And that is why I'd choose a Bull. Y'know, a bovine bull. Serious horns, and a rage to match.

Or an Orangutan. They could pick stuff up and throw them across the room, same as gorrillas.  >:D

Perhaps we should also discuss intimidation animals, like camel spiders. Not particularly deadly but scary as heck.
I am a Blazing Angel. Master of deviant traps and authentic barbecue. Brothers to Rukh the banner maker, Squall the Lionhearted and Underseen the generally sort of okay.

They're not that scary when you have combat boots and a Dracon weapon. It's only 6 inches long. They wouldn't intimidate any Yeerks; only a slumber party. :)

You're not always standing, Parker.  Don't forget, SIZE isn't always indictive on how scary something is.  I mean, scorpions don't really have much in the size department, but I would not want to be around them.  I've seen pictures and video of the wounds camel spiders are supposed to have inflicted.  That's plenty scary in its own right.  And don't get me started on botflies.

Anyway, my battle morph?  Obviously, Siberian tiger.  Though I'm the kind of guy that would acquire any morph whenever I could, and I'd probably select whichever the situation demanded . . .

And Skye, looke up "Realistic Pokemon" on YouTube -- yeah, I'd agree with you.  But don't get your hopes up on getting an Arceus morph. ;) :P

I would still stick with Kodiak Bear. Or, I guess I could settle for Grizzy since that would be easier to find. But bears are just awesome. :D

You people are forgetting that these aren't fraile humans that have lived on earth all their lives. They're Aliens. They aren't scared of tiny insects or arachnids. They live with giant centipedes, they're not going to be scared of some tiny bug.

When talking about intimidation, you're normally talking about stand-offs. If your opponent is lying down, he's either unconscious, or dead; and you don't have to worry about intimidation if your opponent is lying down.

I wasn't talking about intimidation, Parker.  The fear would appear in the aftermath, after the camel spider (which technically isn't a spider at all) is long gone.  It wouldn't kill, but leave very clear and frightening wounds.

Besides, they have human hosts, too.  And a bug that burrows beneath your skin would be frightening to anyone, terrestrial or alien alike. . . . Granted it's a bit like the Yeerks themselves (only Yeerks don't have disporportionate-looking black fangs like botfly larvae).  Yes, they're aliens, but that only means that they're more ignorant of the large dangers some insects can provide.

True, botflys may not be able to penetrate Hork-Bajir hide, but human, Gedd, Andalite, Taxxon, or even Yeerks?  Sure.  I know I don't wanna feel something crawling around under my skin.  It's been pretty much confirmed that you could kill a Taxxon with a can opener, so they obviously have thinner skin than a human, so who's to say a camel spider or any other arthropod of reasonable size wouldn't be able to kill a Taxxon?

The terror doesn't come from the actual insect itself, but at what it can do.

When talking about intimidation, you're normally talking about stand-offs.

And one thing was consistent through most of the series. If the Yeerks weren't intimidated they were definitely impressed with the battlemorphs.

Visser Three praised the tiger morph glowingly.

Yeah, and the yeerks probably don't know earth animals well either, considering Jara and Ket didn't care about the skunk at all

Yeah, you'd think they'd make a point to, invading an unknown place and all.  Well, they do have human hosts, so that probably makes up all their knowledge -- the layman's knowledge of the animal kingdom (and let's be honest, that ain't much).

My Battle Morph: A Male Siberian Tiger (its the biggest tiger around, and Jake proved tigers works extremely well against Hork-Bajir's)

My Assassination Morph: Inland Taipan (Not only is it one of the most poisonous snakes, it is also one of the most poisonous animals in the world) The maximum yield recorded for one bite from the Inland Taipan is 110mg (that is enough to kill slightly more than 100 healthy adult men, and the venom is so toxic that it kills you in less than 45 minutes!!!)   >:D

(I was thinking about picking the Black Widow Spider for my Assassination Morph simply because It was so much harder to notice do to its small size but then I discovered that the bite of a Black Widow Spider doesn't always kill its target WTF!? 0_o?)

Time Matrix

My Prehistoric Battle Morph: Giganotosaurus (a cousin to the T-Rex) It's weight was around 10 tons (2 ton heavier than the T-Rex) It's had bigger jaws than the T-Rex, It was faster (the Giganotosaurus could sprint for approximately 20-25 mph) and the most importantly I did not have wimpy useless arms as the T-Rex but useful big arms!  >:D

My Prehistoric Aquatic Battle Morph: Megalodon only the biggest prehistoric marine creature in the history of the planet! :) the consensus today is that adults Megalodon were 55 to 60 feet long and weighed as much as 100 tons (the great white shark is puny in comparison with the weight of only 3 tons) and some superannuated individuals may have been even bigger. For comparison the The biggest blue whale measured was 98 feet.

My Fictional Battle Morph: A Predator in full battle gear (because I like a easy win;D

I have sadly only read the first 8 books and watched a few of the TV series episodes, so I really had nothing to comment under Alien species sins I could only chose between Yeeerks and Hork-Bajin (that is how it is spelled in danish) but if i had to chose it would properly be a Hork-Bajir with a AA12 (only the most deadly shotgun around, fully automatic with a 32 drum magazine)
