I have a story to tell about ostriches.

Yes really! Send that in to Reader's Digest or your local newspaper! I enjoyed reading that!
(Unrelated, but have you written any Animorphs fan fictions with your writing skill?)

Cyclops from the X-Men. Since he's a mutant, he would be born with the power to fire laser beams.

And since morphing heals injuries, I don't get the angst of killing everything without meaning to.

Who said the battle morph had to be an animal? (technically, mutants are animals as well)

And so what if Cyclops is fictional? The entire concept of morphing is fictional. If I had the fictional ability to morph into any biological creature, why not morph into an equally fictional mutant with genetically derived super powers?

Probably by using the morph he used when they first entered the Yeerk pool (teh fireball throwing one). If it can throw fireballs without injury, that it is probably highly resistant to flame; just use that morph to subdue the flaming humanoid creature and then acquire it while it's unconscious.

Or.... ram it with a bugfighter till it's knocked out

Leopard. It's the morph I'd always choose for new characters in fanfics, so why not? :P

Why not polar bears seriously. Theirs a reason they chose to use them for an ultimate hit and run. Cause they hit hardest

well, it's kinda obvious, but...

Kodiak Bear, duh?

BTW, Polar bears are heavier, but Kodiaks are larger in size. In fact, based on size not weight, they are the biggest land predators on the face of the planet. ...Currently, that is. :P

:wow:

Seriously?!?

*stands to full 10 foot height*

Bask in the awesomeness that is I, the Kodiak. We are a proud species, though few in number. Most of my relatives live on Kodiak Islands, off the coast of Alaska. I could go on and on, but if just so you don't have to listen to me ramble...

EDIT: ...I'm uh... embarrassed to say that apparently, we Kodiaks aren't as endangered as I thought we were... >.<

Brown bears can be found in several western states, though they're mainly found in Alaska, at least as far as the US is concerned. I wouldn't go so far as to say 'most states'.

And, while technically speaking, Kodiak bears are a subspecies of brown bears, I like to keep the distinction between the two. On average, we *are* much larger, which in my mind, makes for a better battle morph. Though heck, any sized bear coming to maul your face off should scare the snot out of anyone. :P
