Re-releasing the books to prep for a movie?
« on: November 12, 2010, 05:08:43 PM »
I can't help but hoping this whole relaunch could mean a movie in the near future! I remember reading the possibilities of one being made, but do we have any more info? I would KILL to see the Andalite Chronicles brought to life!

Last I heard, Michael had talked to people about making an Animorphs movie. But he also said not to get our hopes up.

Yeah, in my mind, there's almost no way there are current plans for an Animorphs movie. If the rerelease does exceptionally well, there may be a tiny chance of one, but at this point in the Animorphs continuum, I'm not overly confident we'll see one any time soon >.<

Still, my fingers are crossed ;)

I just think there is SO MUCH potential for an amazing movie franchise...better than Avatar or Star Wars. We need a REAL budget with an amazing cast and crew and it would be pure gold!

I guess we can't get too excited yet though, but, as Elfangor says, <hope....>

maybe they should attempt animorphs TV show 2.0 first.
that might be a good way to test the waters.

well, if they try the television route again, I hope it would be somewhere with an actual budget instead if looking like bad SyFy movies  :-\

i'm positive it couldn't possibly be worse than before. i've seen many a fan films way better.
the first time around was pretty terrible. -.-

I agree. I watch of lot of amateur-made WebSeries (like TVshows but on the Internet) who are better (and have better special effects) than Animorphs ^^' OK, they were made about 7~10 years later, but still...
