Me too. I wish it has a proper finale. I suppose in that universe time doesn't split apart or Jack doesn't believe in split timelines, because he's happy to try to go through a portal without beating Aku.

I never really got into it that much.  I was a pretty big Dexter's Lab fan myself, so I didn't mean that as a disparagement.  And there were definitely worse cartoons than Samurai Jack...but once I got into anime, other action cartoons just couldn't compare.  Plus Samurai Jack was a tad too abstract for me.  I like a defined plot with a consistent story-arc you can follow.  If you want an epic samurai cartoon, watch Rurouni Kenshin.  Or Samurai Chanpuru (Champloo when Americanized) if you like it even more adult than that...that series was by the same people that did Cowboy Bebop, which is arguably one of the best anime sagas ever made.  And if you don't mind a little adolescence thrown in, and not so much samurai as katana combined with magic, Inuyasha is also a good one to watch.

I like Kenshin. That was a good anime. I never really understood the reverse blade sword, though. People acted like it was harmless for some reason, as far as I remember. I'm not even sure what reverse blade means.

Well, a reverse-blade sword is one that is sharp on the back of the blade instead of the front.  That way the front is blunt but the sword weighs the same as a regular katana.  After Kenshin left his old life behind, he swore never to take another life and to try and make up for the lives he'd already taken by protecting others.  The reverse-blade sword is considered to be the perfect form of the defensive sword...which is the same form practiced by the woman and kid in that show with their bokken.  The technique stresses defending those who are weaker without taking any lives.  If I remember correctly, Kenshin takes place during the Tokugawa regime, which didn't allow anyone who wasn't a soldier of the government to carry a sword.  It was probably one of the singularly most-damaging blows to samurai culture in the entire history of bushido.

You could have him inexplicably warp out of the bar. That way Parker has a reason to move on.

No problem, Hunter.  I wish you good luck in developing a character.  I hope it's as rewarding for you as it has been for myself and many of the others.  :)

Actually we need a new medic since asda left. The best we have is getting someone to the nearest ship with a med bay.

I wonder what Terenia's response would be to Jocun if he hadn't been interrupted. I just didn't want to ignore Hunter's character just to keep the conversation going.

Probably confusion. It wasn't explained very eloquently. And then disgust at the idea of the Empire winning.

She's not too hard to predict.

Yeah, I can imagine she wouldn't be happy about a story of the Empire winning. I don't want to have Jocun say too much, like the surprise being an escafil device, and certainly not that most bandits were Human kids.

I honestly don't think details like that would interest Terenia at all. She just cares about the big picture. Who won. Who lost. That's pretty much it. Esreth might be a bit more intrigued, especially in how the Empire handled their victory, but even she's not super concerned. Both of them are assuming Jocun is from one of many possible futures, so it probably doesn't impact them.
