Hence, he must have some other means of communication.

Short of sign language, the notepad is the preferred method.

I hadnt back then, but did now. I was kinda surprised honestly. Everybody kinda made him sound like robot when they talked about him when i first started so that was what i always thought. But about the pad, i dont remember anytimes that ive read where they used it..i most likely am wrong tho.

Glad you're going back and reading, Goku.

You're right, there's a lot of introductory material. That's because most of us don't want anyone to know our character's life stories right off the bat. Just like in a novel, you introduce things slowly, over time, as they make sense for the character.

Only...this is a really, really long novel. :P

All right, now checking the main RP. Have fun dragging Van's ship out, guys!

So, when the Bartender uses a notepad, is it a.... SPACE NOTEPAD? Hey, it is a Space Bar, stocked with space booze, sooo...

EDIT: A tractor beam sounds sufficient for pulling the ship out. Also, I'm really hoping those splinters and woodchips Van ate aren't going anywhere. It doesn't produce pretty images for me. XD

Weirdly enough, Van probably wouldn't be as surprised by Andalites as he could be, there's a centaur-like species where he's from. It's just that they're huge, covered in fur, and have horns. And typically, they're more than a little bit violent. They're not pretty people. Actually, the graceful and dangerous beauty of the Andalites must be a relief for his eyes.

I'm now interested in seeing what Mar does. I already know Van's going to react like an idiot as soon as Mar comes in, though.
