Dude, I said right when you introduced your second character that we wanted you to keep it to one at a time for now. You can go back and check the posts, they occur on page 135 of this OOC thread for me. There is your post introducing Diteca, a post from Bear, and then my post asking you to limit yourself to one character at a time. I assumed you simply ignored me, so I was doing the same with your second character. This is a general rule that you would know about if you read the rules page at the start of the thread...it's not just you, all newer players are asked to limit themselves to one character at a time for the purposes of promoting meaningful development and to eliminate frivolity and detachment.
And just to head off any complaints...
1.) I only have one character active and I have participated actively and happily in this RP for a thousand pages.
2.) You knew from the start that this fight was not going to be even as we discussed it beforehand.
3.) You picked a fight with a character that has developed many friends/alliances within the bar, and because of that development...
3.5) ...All the characters backing me up are played by other players whose characters have interacted and developed relationships with Ossanlin organically within the bar, I am not playing an extra character to help myself in the fight.
In other words, you can have one character and still have meaningful and enjoyable interactions within the RP, and the people helping Ossanlin are helping Ossanlin because their characters would naturally help Ossanlin for their own various reasons...none of their players planned this fight in advance and none are helping me because of Non-character-related reasons. You brought Diteca in with the express purpose of helping Okaru with this pre-planned battle because you wanted it to be even...that's not in the spirit of the GESB. If your character found that his target was better protected than he thought, you should have that character react accordingly, not just use your player powers to magically bring another character to help in the fight. If you really wanted to even the battle-field, one of the better approaches would've been to try and seek the aid of another patron that was already in the bar, played by another player...not everyone there is Ossanlin's friend. It might've taken a little longer, but Okaru would've grown both in reality and in your mind as a person. You might've developed a relationship with another patron and gotten help in the fight, or perhaps abandoned your quest, or maybe just lay in wait...or possibly still challenged Ossanlin outright like you did. You can't plan ahead for these things, you just have to interact and have your character act as he would were he actually sitting in the middle of an intergalactic dive.

I hope that Okaru will grow as a character after this fight both literally and figuratively, and I hope you will also grow as a creative writer due to the process. ^^ I think you'll eventually find that there's more to RP's than constant battle, and the rest can be just as enjoyable and in general, more meaningful.
