let's make graphs and charts
« on: June 25, 2010, 11:30:02 PM »
I thought of this while I was thinking about how every book contains some of the same elements....and wondered how it would look if quantified mathematically:

Here's the tool I used: http://nces.ed.gov/nceskids/createagraph/default.aspx
I want to see what you can come up with.

Oh man, I giggled so bad at "Tobias gets more emo." Nice work!
You were brave. You were good. You mattered.

The idea of a graph is kind of cool, but yours is obviously inaccurate. The awesome level should stay more constant during the earlier books, then sink down after book 26, then start to recover a bit in the final arc. Tobias' wangst is totally off too, though the moral and ethical struggles may be accurate.

This...wins the RAF Internet. Like about six times over. ;D If only for the line displaying "Explanation of thermals" on it. X3

Although Tobias' emo-ness is also a good measure. Though I'd say that peaks during the torture scenes, with good reason.
