One Happy Day

A couple days ago I stumbled upon a long lost treasure. You see I have been an Animorphs fan since I was young. It was my favorite series growing up and accounts largely for my interest in literature and thus inadvertently aided in guiding me to my current career path. (currently freelance skateboard filmer working towards the end goal of being a director/producer) I was so avid about it in fact that I devoted large amounts of time to writing short fan fictions and hanging out on Animorph related forums. Ones of those forums became a kind of haven for me. A place I could put aside other issues in life, if only for a bit, and enjoy talking with other like minded fans. That forum was run by this goofy (also freaking cool) Jamaican guy named Richard. Long story short, I ended up being one of the original moderators for RAF. Back then I was known as 'skater'. I did this for good stretch of time (maybe close to a couple years if my memory serves me right), before life got hectic and I thus spent less and less time on RAF eventually stepping down as a mod.

It has been years since I have visited RAF. Partially because the last time I did, it had been dead for months. It was sad but life goes on. College came and went, and I just kept working on my film stuff. Well the other day I was looking at my list of subscribers on my youtube and saw a user by the name of 'claireanimorphs'. This immediately caught my attention, because I almost never meet anyone anymore who remembers Animorphs. On her profile page, I saw her mention RAF and for a minute I just paused. I didn't quite know what to think at first because I had long thought RAF was no more, but here was a youtuber stoked on it.

Naturally I sent a message to her and found out that RAF was still going strong, and she told me about her amazing trip around the world to visit fellow RAFians. Which, by the way, is flat out one the raddest things I have heard of someone doing in very a long time. I definitely respect that. I felt a fair mix of nostalgia and excitement because RAF was an important part of my younger years. I made some very good friends and will always look back with joy on the time I have spent here. Haha! I'm so stoked this place is still going!

Hey, dude! I'm Cody! It's awesome to see more Ancients here! I'm relatively new myself, though. It's really cool that you've found RAF, and it seems to have meant as much to you as it has to me in my year-and-some-change here. (Maybe two years, IDK, lost accounts and all.) Welcome back, Skater!  I wasn't on conforums for very long, I think you were "gone" by the time I got there, but I'm Horsefan.  Call me Horse, Horsie, or Seal, because I am a seal.  And am not a hat.  Something someone *cough*esplin*cough* should learn.

And, if you've happened to have regained any sanity in your absence, I need it.  Please.  Otherwise I will drag it out of your skull--er, get it some other way.  It needs to be...disposed of.
