And I'd give up forever to touch you
Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now

And all I can taste is this feeling
And all I can breathe is your life
Cause sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you right now.

And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everythings made to be broken,
I just want you to know who I am.

And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies,
Yeah you bleed just to know you're alive

I'm just a writer, and my main goal was always to entertain. But I've never let Animorphs turn into just another painless video game version of war, and I wasn't going to do it at the end. I've spent 60 books telling a strange, fanciful war story, sometimes very seriously, sometimes more tongue-in-cheek. I've written a lot of action and a lot of humor and a lot of sheer nonsense. But I have also, again and again, challenged readers to think about what they were reading. To th

@Ghosty: OK ^^ So you want I add it for the volume where Tobias is tortured?

@DBZ: errr... for the tortured Tobias again? ^^'

@Atom: With the lyrics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2UP86bciVA ^^ Which one do you prefer for the soundtrack? And do you have a volume in mind?

I like the one without the lyrics because everyone knows them, and you kind of sing along with it, and at the same time, having it instrumental makes it more humorous.  Especially since it's just that one instrument.

OK ^^ So I add it as instrumental. Any volume who would fit the best?

Actually, I didn't suggest Iris (CounterInstinct did), but I think it fits that volume pretty well.

Yeah, we're gonna make a fanmix ^^ So if you have suggestions... and please, we need more votes/ideas for the list. We really need to find the order of the songs, so please everybody "vote"!

Devil Inside, by INXS, is perfect for Rachel vs. Crayak, Rachel threatening David, or even Rachel in grizzly morph for the first time.

OK, so these ones don't apply to Animorphs specifically, because I find myself thinking of them in great battle scenes in general when I'm reading, but the bigger Animorphs battles were no exception.

With Mad World, I've always thought that the haunting lyrics and melody make great background music for those times in battles when a character steps back and sees it all happening in slow motion while becoming overwhelmed with the horror of it all.:

Then there's March of Cambreadth, which is Celtic music at its most bad-ass. Maybe great for those couple of minutes it takes to morph. Yeah, I can totally see Rachel's face going bear, and flashes of various claws, teeth and bulging muscles forming to this song. Much cooler than the random-art-slideshow in this video:

By the way, I was afraid that this thread was going to be a bit more silly, but great job everyone one on a good variety of different music that is all so fitting.

RAF keeps the story alive, so this would be my choice.

I'm a die-hard LP fan, and the books were written during that time as well (before they sold out)-- I'd have to say that Papercut by them would be a good song to add.

Can't see the video in my country. May you precise the name of the band and the song title, please?
