a young bald eagle followed me on a jog a few miles down a lovely, well-stocked river.

i had to resist the urge to call out:

HEYO, RACHEL.

So, I had this idea that you could tell how widely known or popular a book series, TV series, game, website, etc. is by typing in kind of abstract things about it and googling it. scroll down, and see how long it takes you to see something from the series. I.E. "morph" and "block" are not words owned by anyone, yet they quickly give you pictures from animorphs and minecraft. based on my tests, I believe the series is doing very, very well. and so is minecraft! :D

See, when I hear or see "Morph", I immediately think of "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers". :D

duckduckgo disagrees, unfortunately, but i'm sure that the demographic using that search engine is vastly different than the one using google.

and, well, it has nothing to do with my bias, but i'm still willing to give the results of your research the benefit of the doubt. animorphs is always doing well, in my mind. ;D

I wonder what would happen if somebody morphed Helmacron and then died?  Would they get absorbed into the rest of the species, as ordinary Helmacrons do?

How freaking weird would that be?

so I've been speed reading some of my favorites of late.

There is a very strong since of characters in this series being averse to being pitied.  Just the idea of it.

Wonder if it rubbed off

cry references animorphs at a bit after 23:10.

Cry Plays: Dishonored [P5]

i was a tiny bit moved. also silently argued: "people are animals, silly."

I went through the David trilogy last night, first time in a year or two. And when they first mention his dad's a spy, I was trying to recall. I knew it wasn't FBI or CIA, and I was thinking it was just some made up group. And then late in 20 they say it's the National Security Agency. Laughed so damn hard at that, since it actually has meaning now.

David Snowden anyone?

xD *snort* very true. for me in the nineties, i wouldn't've thought much of katmike throwing the NSA out there.

technically, the NSA has always served in that capacity- to include a certain amount of monitoring of civilians (pats and non) as well as corporations (US and non). snowden's just heightened our awareness of their activities.

(not to get too sidetracked, but are people really so shocked that the NSA does what it does? >____> i mean.)

As being fan of both Animorphs and Artemis Fowl series, I have noticed the similarities between
Andalites (specifically Ax) and Foaly. Well, hows this?
They are both relatively similar in appearance, also they act similarly, and have interest in technology.

i could barely tolerate 'the host'. how does this get screen time and animorphs doesn't? someone needs to fix hollywood's poor judgment with respect to raw script material.

seriously, 'the host' is animorphs- less an interesting cast and crew and with unnecessary 'romance'.

I doubt if any series/movie could get the real animorphs spirit inside it, know what I mean? I kind of don't think they would work in other formats than books.
On other thoughts, I wish that KAA would make Crayak Chronicles, I would so read that! Ellimist - Crayak was very interesting pair of opposites  :)
