Totally Random Animorphs Thoughts

Got a big book on animals from the Smithsonian. Now attempting to identify the exact species for the morphs used in Animorphs. Or at least the ones they got from the barn. Or just... not the Gardens.

Let me know what conclusions you draw.

So far as I know, anoles aren't found in California, so how you work that out at least should be neat to hear

if marco had not been able to finish demorphing from a ****roach and got stuck as a massive human sized roach, i'm pretty sure he would have just died as it is physically impossible for a roach of that size to live

I've been thinking too much lately.
I've always said that if Animorphs came out on TV or film, I'd what it to be true to the books. And that hasn't changed, but I think I'd be more forgiving for some changes now.
Film is a different medium that a book, you can do things in a book you can't with film, and vice versa.

I really like LOTR, the films, wasn't big on the book. But I'm starting to see you can lose some of the faithfulness, and still tell a good story, even if it isn't exactly the same.


That said the show they did make was still not a good story, but idk, it just strikes me. Maybe I could see something new

There is a term called adaptation distillation, which is basically where they change some things, but actually for the better. As long as there's a good reason for the change, I think fans can appreciate it. Especially if there was something in the first one that they didn't like, and the adaptation fixed it.

On the topic of an Animorphs movie, I would love to see the Hork-Bajir Chronicles made into a movie.

Seriously, that book is perfect for a movie. The way it jumps between narrators would make for dramatic scene changes, and it's not as long and detailed as the Andalite Chronicles, and its plot just would really work well for a movie. A movie based on the entire Animorphs series would be harder.

Popped into the bookstore today, and saw a beautiful sight. Two girls, about 13-ish, very seriously checking out the stack of Animorphs books there, with one even calling her mom up to get money. Couldn't help smiling to myself

It involves Animorphs so I'll go ahead and say it. I was talking with a friend of mine about Animorphs and they suggested the idea of them being "updated" to todays standards...but as..furries? He said he would make the changes to the Animorphs as followed:

Jake-Tigertaur
Ax-Chakat
Tobias-(Stay the same)
Marco-(Stay the same)
Rachel-Panthertaur
and Cassie-a Centaur(stuck in midmorph most likely)

And then the weidest thing he said(not that it wasn't already weird) was that Cassie would flirt with Tobias alot.
