That is pretty sweet.


I really wish they would redo the TV series though.  I mean, the one time when Ax and Visser Three have their big confrontation.


And they...arm wrestled....

I threw up in my mouth a little bit.  And I wasn't able to watch the series after that.


I mean, I understand it was low budget and all but...Andalites armwrestling?  When Ax can't even hold a mouse without using two hands?  (Think it was MM1).  Talk about the most anti-climactic fight ever (even if they were on steroids in the TV show.)  They might as well have had an insult war.  At least then it might have been mildly amusing to watch.

The other day at work, I was supposed to pull a breadcrumb mix off the shelf, and I came back with the wrong one.  So my coworker told me to get "the blue box."

Yeah, you all know what went through my mind right then.  :D

It is in Episode 8, Season 1.   The arm wrestling hilarity is near the end.



The one thing I do have to say they got right is Paulo Costanzo was an AMAZING Ax.  He definitely nailed his character.

I know!  I can't even watch Royal Pains without my brain going "AX!"

Fun fact: There was an episode where Paulo's character was jokingly called by the nickname "Cinnamon."  I can't help but think that couldn't have been a coincidence.  :D

. . . Not even slightly.  Pretty sure the one from Animorphs was not made by Progresso, for one thing.

Eh, Royal Pains isn't really much of a good show, other than Ax Paulo being in it.  It's about some doctor guy who does house-calls for rich people in Beverly Hills or something, and Paulo plays the doctor guy's brother.

Darn. I was thinking the British show by that name that we have at the library. But that's a whole different show.

Speaking of the blue box, I end up thinking of it when mom watches Dancing With The Stars. When the blue light is on those big cubes onstage, they look like giant versions of the blue box illustration.

I paraphrased "The use of rhetoric to obscure lack of content" today without telling people what it was from. :P I got a kick out of making them chuckle unknowingly at Animorphs.
