my favorites are #18 and #26. I think they're the best plotted. But that's just regular series.
I go off topic on purpose.

Pretty sure this post has been done a few thousand times, but eh, I'll indulge. :)

Regular series, I love the David trilogy. #6 is also great, because it's the first time you get to see into the mind of a Yeerk, so to speak.

My favorite Megamorphs is #4, Back to Before. My favorite Chronicles, and overall favorite book of the entire story, is The Hork-Bajir Chronicles (I'm bolding it because it's just that awesome). I'm also partial to Visser and TAC, though.

I've been listening to the Animorphs: the Radio Drama crew's portrayal of the David trilogy, and it just gives me chills how good this story is. I agree with them on how it is the best suited for making a movie, but of course you'd have to explain the origin :P
So I guess put together I would nominate the David trilogy, with the Andalite Chronicles as a close second, and a definite vote for #24 as the most awesomely funny ;D

#26 and the David Trilogy are the best. I would say that's when the series peaked.

I would agree that the peak was the David Trilogy and 26. Partly because they were really good books, and partly because the trilogy happened just before the gostwriters came in with all their books, and the final arc where the characters and such were twisted to meet the needs of KA's message about war.

26, probably...

I would say that Back to Before was one of the best and worst books in the entire series... I mean, from a strictly independant view, it was a frickin' awesome idea... and it would be one of my favorites... except for the fact that it had almost no bearing on the rest of the series... (interesting that none of the Megamorphs after the first one really did...)
"Hey, who taped a full color picture of a forum to my screen? And why won't it come off??? What?? it's an Animorphs forum, and you can talk about your favorite Animorphs and such??? Oh, Best Thing Ever! Best Thing Ever!"

The Hork-Bajir Chronicles without any doubt. i was so obsessed with it when it first came out.  Like i loved The Andalite Chronicles and it might've been my favorite but i felt like that book started to fall apart near the ending. The HBC kept its quality throughout the whole book. And i just loved, and still love, everything about it. It was like the only one of the series that my mom didn't give away secretly. Even she knew how much i love the book lol

Why would your mom steal your stuff?

I can't say what my favorite book is. TAC and HBC would definitely be on the list. Visser is good as well. Several from the early main series are good candidates.

i think i want to add the David Trilogy. i had forgotten how into that arc i was.
when it was made to look like Tobias was killed, i remember being in so much shock lol. And yeah, not sure on if we're supposed to use spoiler font for details or not lol
when i first went away for school, my mom went on a cleaning spree and threw out or gave away a lot of the stuff i didn't take with me lol...the HC was the only animorphs book that wasn't given away lol. The rest of the series that i had...all gone :-( i've only managed to get a handful of the books again lol

I always like book 18. The Leeran home planet was very cool and and the battle going on was also awesome, Not to mention traitors and getting to meet new Andalites. Also the general rocking of Ax's world and down to the wire action made that book just incredibly cool.
