Cassie sighed and nodded. "I know, but I can't imagine how hard it is on him. I might feel the same way. We just have to trust that he'll come out of that way of thinking. I mean, think about how much of an improvement today has been, Jake. At least he is talking with us again. Maybe between that and his talk with Rachel, things will look up for him." The back of her neck was cramping a little from looking up at him; she didn't usually stand this close, she supposed. What would my parents say if they could see us... this dilemma...? she wondered. Abruptly her eyes widened. "Mom and Dad. We should finish cleaning. They'll be home soon, I bet."
Marco sighed. "You did a number on this stuff, Ax, but that's a lot left." He opened the cabinet under the sink and found empty garbage bags. Tugging one out of the box, he opened it up and began sticking the food in it. "Ah, the glorious life of a superhero, eh, Ax?"
((I'm a little confused by your last post, Tobias. Are you planning on starting the Ellimist plotline in your next post? What do we do about the Animorphs in the house and Cassie's parents?))
