Raksha seen the look in Cassie's eyes, but she never lost her smiling facade. She had just wanted to help, as they had looked like they might have drowned on their own, but what did she know? She had been a loner before finding this group. She decided to tamp it down a abit and see how things played through. Then she wondered where Shawn had gone.

((Yay, life finally calmed down.))

Shawn left Marco and Ax to see where Raksha was. He had hoped she followed him, but she didn't. He peeked into the living room and saw her talking to Cassie's parents. His face lost a little of its color and he began whisper-yelling to her, "Raksha, Raksha! Over here." He was bekoning her to him with his hand in small quick circles. Hopefully Cassie's parents wouldn't notice him.

Cassie's parents both look incredulously at the girl who introduced herself. Cassie's mom shook her hand and immediately looked back to Cassie. They enjoyed meeting their daughter's friends, but this really was not the time. Especially when they heard the animals got out.

Cassie's father freaked out. He let go of his wife and began gesticu
ating wildly, "All of them? How did you  lose all of them? Do you know what this means for the refuge? Our grant is dependant on us having animals and being able to keep them either safe or contained! If anyone finds out about this, we could lose everything. How could you not catch one? Some of those animals had broken limbs!"

Cassie's mother grabbed her husbands flying hands and held them down. He quieted immediately and began breathing in a panic, his breath slowing with each breath. She repeatedly told him to breath and things would be okay. When he had collected himself, he stared straight at Cassie and said nothing. Though nothing had to be said, the disappointment was apparent in his gaze. Cassie's mother spoke softly and calmly, "Dear, I'm sure our daughter did everything she could to recapture the animals. It's okay, that many animals is difficult to miss, I'm sure we'll find them again. Cassie's done the best she can, and I'm sure she's very sorry. She is cleaning the whole house, with the help of some her friends. Everything's going to be fine."

Cassie's neck muscles slackened and she lowered her head, unable to bear meeting her parents' gazes. "I'm sorry," she said quietly. "I did try, honestly. There was just so much of a commotion, and...." In truth, she felt worse than her parents could have imagined. She had known the Controllers were at her house, and she might have guessed that they would detain and execute all the animals, just in case they were Andalite bandits. Maybe they could have stopped it if... if....

She clenched her fists and looked back at Jake over her shoulder. Only he and the other Animorphs could begin to understand what had her so upset, but she wasn't sure that even Jake could really sympathize with her. She would have thought becoming animals would make her friends see them more like she did--as creatures with souls, creatures to be preserved and protected--but they were becoming tools to all of them (herself, included), more and more.

Wondering if the guilt and fear was evident on her face, she chanced a look at her parents. "Let us finish cleaning, and then everyone'll be out of your hair, alright?" she said quietly.

Cassie's father saw the guilt in her face and softened his own gaze. He calmed himself down and put his hand on his wife's grip, letting her know he was okay. When she let go he gave Cassie a big hug, "I'm sorry honey, I know you tried as hard as you could. I just over-reacted. I know it wasn't your fault; and I appreciate that you and your friends decided to help. Don't worry, we'll figure something out. It's okay. I'm sorry I yelled at you."

Cassie's mother stood smiling at them and looked to Jake, "Jake would you mind gathering your friends for us?"

Jake nodded and ran upstairs to get Rachel first.

Tobias curiously flew toward his meadow.<Don't tell me..your The Ellimist.>.The voice chuckles softly.<Yes your...>he pauses.<...no I am A Ellimist not the Ellimist.>.Tobias flaps softly as he listens.<What do you want from me?>The Ellimist chuckles.<Oh nothing much...just...watch ing a red-tail lose his mind.>the next second Tobias disappears from the air and is put into a new place,a world that was all white light as he was still in his hawk form.<Yeah well thats what I am now.>he says firmly.

In front of Tobias,The Ellimist appeared.He looked like a blue old man in old type clothes as he looked almost like a ghost.*I..am here to help you Tobias..that is IF you want my help.*Tobias looks at him as he doesn't have to fly or anything,just hanging in mid-air.<How can you help me?>he asks curiously.The Ellimist had a small smirk as he smiled.*...to give you...your powers back.*

Cassie sighed in relief as her father accepted her apology and excuse. She wrapped her arms around him in turn and gave him a squeeze before stepping away. "I'm going to help the others finish up, alright?" she said and stepped away to find her friends who were downstairs.

Marco peered out into the hallway upon hearing the conversation between Cassie and her parents die down. He gave her a questioning look, which she responded to with a smile.

Tobias blinks in shock before answering.<..How can...I mean at what cost? I know what Ax says that you Ellimists like to play games and such to get stuff done your way.>he says trying to sound angry at him actually thinking he wants his powers back.He nods.*There could be...but maybe I can give you back your powers...because I want to.*The Ellimist smile softly.

<Bull.>Tobias says sharply.<You have so plan...or mission you want me to do to get my powers back.>The Ellimist shook his head.*If that is what you think..*he pauses as a second later,Tobias was back in the air,the same spot he was before he was taken away.*Maybe your powers have been given back already.*he says before the voice of The Ellmist disappeared.

[Midnight_Huntress]

Raksha heard Shawn calling for her, and she noticed out of the corner of her eye that he was beckoning to her. She didn't look directly toward him, so Cassie's parents wouldn't look, too. "I'm going to go finish up in the other room." she said excusing herself. She walked over to Shawn after that. "Well, this night could have gone better." she smiled.

Tobias gasps softly,but shook his head and flew on.<He can't be telling the truth.>he talks to himself as he flew toward his meadow to get another snack and wait abit before he went to Rachel's house.

Jake opened Cassie's room door and found Rachel finishing up Cassie's room. "Hey, Cassie's parents want to talk to us."

Rachel looks worried at Jake, "All of us?"

"Yeah." He looks around for Tobias, "Where's Tobias?"

"He flew off so her parents wouldn't find a hawk in their daughter's room." Rachel placed the last pillow on Cassie's bed and walked towards Jake and the door.

Jake nodded understandably and led Rachel  down the stairwell.


Shawn smiled at Raksha and then heard Cassie's mom ask Jake to gather the others. When he saw Jake go upstairs, he took it upon himself to get those in the kitchen. He looked back at Raksha and said with a laugh, "Looks like they're ready for us. I'll get Ax and Marco." He found the two talking about something random, "Ax, Marco, Cassie's mom wants to talk to us."

Ax tilted his head, "Can she do so while she is in the next room?"

Shawn shook his head and replied, "No, that's why we're supposed to go into the living room."

"Oh, that makes more sense. Ince. Cents. Sss, sss. I like 'S's."

When Cassie walked by, Shawn asked, "Why do your parents want to talk to us? Are we in trouble too? Did you get grounded or something?"

Tobias sees his meal and dives,takeing it out perfectly as he eats then flies to his tree and closes his eyes.<I can't have my powers back.>*Is that what you think?*says the Ellimist.Tobias suddenly opens his eyes before gasping as he was no longer in his meadow.He was now in a room and it was night time,the room seemed to be very familir to him.

Across the room,someone begans to sturr.*Uhhh,what?*looks up and over at a red-tailed hawk as Tobias gasps.<No....>his eyes widen as he looks at the human Tobias.

Cassie and Marco joined the others in walking to the living room, which was more or less tidy. "Ax-man," Marco murmured under his breath, "you gotta cut out the extra talking and stuff. Humans find that weird. Just... don't talk any more than you have to, okay, man?"

Cassie led them into the room, biting her lip, still nervous about what would happen.

Tobias looks at the human Tobias.<Its ok...I'm here to help you get back to sleep.>he was obviously shakeing,but knowing what he had to do.Tobias looks to the hawk.*Wait,this isn't a dream?*he says curiously as the hawk walked toward him on the table.<Now lift me up on your arm.>

Tobias does as the bird told him and puts him on his arm.<This will help you sleep.>he gentely pushed his talons on his skin as he begans to aquire his own dna.

((Yay, Tobias can be Tobias again!))

As everyone filed into the living room, Cassie's parents realized they were all wearing an odd assortment of clothing. All except assie's new friend who wore exceptionally tight clothing. Deciding to save that question for later, Cassie's mother began first, "We would all like to thank you in helping Cassie clean the mess created by our animals. I know this isn't how you'd like to spend your afternoon, and you probably have homework to do as well." She looked to her husband and he nodded to her, she looked back at the small crowd and continued, "So as a thank you, we'd like to invite you all to stay for dinner." Cassies's father interjected, "As long as it's okay with each of your parents of course."

((Yay for free food!))

Jake stood shocked, his excuse had worked perfectly, not only were they not in trouble, but they were offered dinner. He smiled a incredulously exhausted smile. All the guilt and panic drained from his body and was replaced with excitement. Their secret stayed intact and noone was the wiser about what really happened. He was so elated, he couldn't speak.
